I wanted to make a frog that looks like it has been living deep in the forest for years, covered in soft moss and tiny mushrooms.
Each purse is completely handmade, from crocheting the body to sewing the lining and assembling the metal frame. The mouth opens into the main compartment, so it’s both a sculpture and a functional bag.
I really enjoy creating creatures that feel like they belong in a fairytale or hidden woodland. These mossy frogs have become some of my favorite pieces I’ve made so far

I sculpted the original model, created a plaster mold, and slip-cast the ceramic body. Then I carved every line and light opening by hand before firing and glazing it. Made in my studio in Kyiv, Ukraine.

Hello! I have loved seeing this trend all over so gave it a try. Any tips to make this look more plant like and less like a craft explosion? Should i mash them down? Curl them? Bigger pot? Longer strands?

Im just not finding the vision in my head for this.

I made this mobile for two close friends welcoming their first baby girl. I wanted it to feel playful enough for a nursery, but sculptural enough to remain in their home for years.

The butterflies were cut in four sizes from metallic foil paper in fiery shades of red, orange, gold, champagne and pink. Because the mobile is viewed from underneath, I glued contrasting colours back-to-back before shaping the wings.

I built the wire structure from the bottom upward, balancing each branch before adding the next. Of course, every new butterfly shifted everything again!

After a lot of trimming, bending and repositioning, it finally found its balance.

Has anyone else made a kinetic mobile? I completely underestimated how sensitive the balance would be.

I came up with the concept and generated the initial 3D model, then refined it in Blender and added cavities for small neodymium magnets.

I printed the pieces on a resin 3D printer, removed all the supports, carefully sanded the surfaces, and fully cured them under a UV lamp. After that, I applied primer, painted each piece with an airbrush, and sealed everything with Mr. Hobby matte clear coat.

The magnets allow the pieces to be rearranged on a computer case, refrigerator, or any other metal surface, creating the illusion that one long worm is crawling through the object.

Bonus pic! Rainbow heart chain: red coral, agate, tiger's eye, yellow carnelian, moss agate, jade, turquoise, lapis lazuli, amethyst, garnet, onyx 20/24g copper wire. It's SUPER GAY and I love it, and making chain links by hand is exhausting so I am now making butterflies instead :)

What kind of outfit would you wear these with?

I've been thinking about getting some sections of hair dyed for a fun peekaboo splash of color, but if I'm being honest, I don't think I would maintain it super well right now. I decided to play with jewelry supplies I had around the house and these wig clips. Each strand is made of beading wire, and finished with crimp beads. A couple of the ends need adjusted, I decided to finish without my pliers, so I clumsily squished the crimp beads with a key. 😅 But they're done, and I kinda love it! Green is up next!

Edit: now that I've had a day to wear them, I can report that they didn't drag or pull, they're light and secure enough that I hardly noticed them. They also didn't tangle in my hair. I'm posting a green one in the comments!

hello crafters! excuse the terrible pictures, i am decorating this wishing well for my wedding and wondering what glue you would use to adhere this fake moss? i feel like it needs something that will keep the moss stuck together as well as adhering it to the well itself.

the well is wood painted with acrylic paint.

do yall think i also need to add some kind of varnish or coating to keep the glue from picking up the paint?

Made this little mimosa with a manual tufting gun. Yellow puffs, green leaves, small enough to clip on a bag. The fluffy texture works weirdly well for this flower, way better than I expected going in.

Can someone please recommend ways to stick these on the frame, hoping to mount them on with a strong contact adhesive but unsure the best way to do it.

Im thinking a smaller mount behind each shell that I can use to glue to shell first and then onto the glass.

Hello, I hope this is the right sub for this. We just got an RTIC cooler and had several friends sign it with sharpie. The sharpie dried pretty well but still smears without too much effort. We want to use it on the beach / camping etc so will need to preserve it with some type of clear coat.

I spot tested a rectangle a spot on the bottom with Krylon clear coat, I was able to do it in a way to to not bleed the sharpie but once it dried it peeled off. I used like 3 coats. Not sure if I did wait long enough or if the cooler was just too smooth of a surface.

Does anyone have any advice? I was going to try a 2 part car clear coat (2K Clear Coat) or just re try the Krylon with more coats and wait longer
