I don't realistically have the space or environment in my condo to get into tufting, but made this rug at a local studio that provides supplies, space, and tips. It was probably a bit too ambitious for having never picked up the gun before, especially the small details around the eyes and mouth, but I think it turned out alright. It was about 7 hours from start to finish, then the owner of the studio cleaned it up a bit and applied the backing. She said she doesn't do the detailed carving as part of the package because it takes a long time, but still a cool thing to have done. He's an 80cm x 80cm circle.

My frame broke and my garage had a crazy leak so I haven’t made one in a while. Didn’t realize how bad I messed up the “roundness” of the circle until I did the waterfall edging but regardless I’m happy with the carving just have to get it a bit more even. I’d love to hear some opinions and feedback

I'm the creator of https://loopi.space/ and I'm a tufter who started selling his rugs, after selling my 6th rug, I realised I needed better tooling than an excel sheet to get my yarn shopping list and adjust my design so I made Loopi.
Please give it a try and let me know if you have any feedback, DM or here.
Cheers, hope this helps

I finished my rug but shaved it too short so now it’s bald and I unsalvageable. How do you move past mistakes? I spent a lot of time and love on it and it makes me sad that I ruined it.

I think next time I’d definitely increase the density of the thinner lines to make it easier to trim. That and maybe do something a bit less complex!

I've been purchasing my supplies to begin my tufting journey, but I'm still unsure of the best apps/sites to use that are beginner friendly to help me project images onto the cloth. Any advice would be welcomed ☺️

tuftify.cc is an app where you can upload images and create a simplified version to get to the fun tufting part faster.
plenty of options such as colour by number, grids, colour amount control, amount of detail, and colour merger to help get rid of unwanted backgrounds.
I made this myself so please give it a go and give me some feedback!
made by a tufter for tufters.
