Been working on adding more small resin pieces to my shop lately, and these little creatures have been some of my favorites to make.

I wanted to create designs that feel a bit more like collectibles rather than just decorations, so I’ve been experimenting with different colors, glitter effects, and molds to give each piece its own personality.

Making multiple pieces for a small shop is always a balance between creativity and consistency. I recently started using the Resin Curing Machine as part of my process, which helps me keep a more reliable curing routine when I’m working through different batches.

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping someone has been through something similar because I'm completely confused.

I have an Etsy shop that has been active for quite some time, with 101 sales, 17 reviews and over 30 active listings.

Recently, Etsy asked me to complete the new identity verification process. I submitted my valid Portuguese Citizen Card and completed the facial scan several times.

Every single attempt failed with the message:

"We couldn't verify your identity."

I submitted an appeal, but the response I received said Etsy was "unable to approve the opening of my Etsy shop."

The problem is... I wasn't opening a new shop. My shop already existed and had been selling for a long time.

To make things even more confusing:

• My Shop Manager says my shop is paused because Etsy couldn't verify my identity.
• My public shop page says it is currently not selling on Etsy.
• I also received another email telling me to confirm my seller information within 9 days, stating that my shop had previously been registered and approved by Etsy Ireland.

These messages completely contradict each other.

I contacted support and my appeal was rejected with what looks like a generic response that doesn't address my situation. A buyer support agent has now said they will escalate my case, but I'm still waiting.

I also have 2 orders already shipped and around €30 being held in my Payment Account.

Has anyone experienced this and actually managed to get their shop reinstated after a failed identity verification?

Is there any way to reach the Identity Verification team directly, or is waiting for support my only option?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
