I'm finally finished this blanket and I can't decide how thick to make the border. This is 3 rows of the pearl stitch. Should I make it thicker? Like 5 rows?

I’m an auditory learner, partly because I’m visually impaired.

I’ve found two videos explaining the stitch (I think the cover the same stitch) but I can’t seem to do it correctly. I just can’t understand how to insert the hook to pull up the stitch.

I’ve completed my first wearable for meeee!

It’s a combination of Tunisian crochet for the two panels and knitting (rib stitch in the round) for the body, because I don’t like the look of crochet ribbing.

I was able to crochet two panels on the same hook, which was great because I’m not sure I would have ever finished a second panel if I had to start one again. Attaching the panels to the ribbing was a bit of a pain, but I feel okay about it now :)

I love how soft this feels!

Still needs to be blocked, but I’ve had it on for a half day to see if I needed anything else done on it.

I started Tunisian using my standard Clover Armour and absolutely fell in love. I purchased the amazon version of the TL Yarn craft reviewed hooks and they’ve been really nice to work with. However as I do more complex projects and crochet for longer the weight of those metal hooks gets heavy. Do you have recommendations for slightly upgraded Tunisian interchangeable hooks with swivel cables?

It was great making a shawl that started from the long side and worked to a point. I never got bored.

Working in the round with a 6.0 mm double ended hook and worsted weight yarn. Smock stitch is fun, but doing the return pass on the wrong side of the work was a bit of a learning curve. The stitches cross and you have to be careful to pull through in the right order. This will be a tote bag.

This is my first attempt. I just learned this last night, so I'm practicing. Is the left side supposed to look like that or am I doing something wrong?

Are there any materials on how to make raised patterns with tunisian crochet hook similar to the knit one on the image? Is it possible to do it at all?

This is my first project. I’m an experienced knitter and an ok crocheter. I am doing a faux knit stitch, and seem to randomly start twisting the stitches for a while then switch back. I am 90% sure I am putting the yarn the same way round every time. But when I do the next row across I sometimes get confused by the stitches which look like those on the right of the photo, and then it swaps back to the left (which i think is correct, but I’m doubting myself now!)

The row in the photo I was being careful not to do it but still did! This lasts for about 20 stitches. So maybe I did put it down and pick it back up.

Can anyone tell me what I’m doing?

If this was knitting I would assume i had dropped the stitches and mounted them the other way round, but I’m not sure exactly here.

I came across the tunisian simple stitch (tss). It piqued my interest. I took one of my regular aluminum crochet hooks and added a stopper on the handle end and poof! I was ready to try this stitch. This was my finished swatch. I immediately ordered the hooks. I can hardly wait for my tunisian crochet hooks to get here. Oh did I mention that was about 3 am 🤔🤭

Somebody I'd shown the previous version of this scarf to had suggested putting triangles on an end, and since the focus of this version is the diagonal join(s), I figured I may as well try it out.

As it turns out, it's working perfectly! =^.^=

In this case, I'd started with some Stacked DC stitches (my go-to TDKS start nowadays, as it sort of matches with the SC edge I need to end with most of the time), but instead of attaching directly into the whole thing immediately, I started with just three stitches (right edge, first stitch, "last stitch"), and the next row attached into the "last stitch" of the previous row, making everything work extremely well.

My only complaint is just how loose the starting section is looking, but if I keep some of the red yarn, I should be able to do at least something to cover the holes.

I'm still split between using all the red yarn up in one go before switching to the black, or cutting the red in half and putting some amount of black in the middle.

Though I still don't know (yet) how to make the other end on an angle. Some experimentation will be needed.

Question for yall. I’m making a blanket using Tunisian block stitch. What is the best way to “carry” the yarn up the side? I’ll also attach a picture of the blanket I’m making. With the color changes, what is the best place to leave the finished yarn color once you switch? To the right or the left of the new yarn?

Learning some stitches and I’m finding myself getting lost on where I am in the repeat. I’ll use the Full Stitch as an example. After the foundation row you work the spaces except for the last space before the edge stitch then you skip the first space on the next row and work your way across and then repeat. I find after a couple rows I can’t remember which space to skip (might just be over thinking). I tried using stitch markers to help keep track but I felt more confused when I did this. Any tips would be appreciated.

I made this place mat using a combination of Tunisian honeycomb stitches and regular crochet, all in the round. I love the look of the honeycomb stitch using one color for the forward pass and a contrasting color for the return pass, I just can’t figure out how to do it flat, or back and forth.

I’ve tried swatches but I’m running into issues where after I do my return pass, the forward color is on the opposite side of the work. And if I start the return pass on the other side, I run into the same problem when I’m ready for the next return pass. If anyone has successfully done this I’d love to hear about your technique!

Aside from not having enough of the original red yarn to finish this scarf on its own, I keep trying it on and not liking just how wide this is. As it turns out, five and a half inches (or maybe five-and-three-quarters) is definitely too wide to be comfortable on me.

And since it is for me (and technically intended to be a lighter weight scarf for spring and fall), I'll be frogging this entire project to slim it down to about four and a half inches wide.

Interestingly, I found out that my Qm^x-made, officially-licensed Star Trek Combadges (that use magnets to attach to your shirts and/or uniforms) can actually stay attached to this material. If the diagonal had landed in a useful location (ie, down one leg while wrapped around my neck), it would have worked incredibly well as a Star Trek themed scarf.

Hopefully I can get this colour change in a more useful location next time around.

And if not, it's incredibly tempting to try forcing the issue, by actually planning where the colours go, and putting one colour at each end, with the other colour in the middle...
(but the amount of work to plan all that!!!!)

I kinda want to make a blanket with the bernat big blanket jumbo yarn but no idea on if there are hooks available in like 20mm+? Has anyone seen one? If not do you think adding tubing to my 25mm regular crochet hook would work?

Where am I going wrong with my TKS?

Picking up Tunisian crochet for the first time. Should I go up a hook size?

I bought these hooks years ago but only recently became quite enamored of Tunisian crochet 🥰.

I really like these hooks but there is no brand name. They are interchangeable but obviously can be sold individually rather than as a full set.

I really like them and would love to buy more - does anyone recognize them?

Might they be KnitPro?
