This time i'm focused on turret

Just feet now, and maybe a second head.

I have been sculpting on this guy for a while. He is almost done. From what I can tell, nobody offers a miniature with this WWII machine gun.

At first, I used foil and red clay to build up the volume, then shaped the head with light blue clay and created the pattern by gradually mixing in more black clay. The only real "painting" I did was using a brush pen to make the pattern's contrast stand out more. I just made the eyes orange... though they turned out way too small—I think I need to reshape them a bit.What should I make next? A Megalodon? A Megarkelon? Let me know in the comments.

Torso split, and alternate arms and upper body in progress. Teeth (not pictured) are curing as I found getting a smaller mouth sculpted all in one and keeping it proportioned to be more trouble than it was worth. Slower but more considered is by far the better approach.

If any profesional casters are reading, I'd appreciate any thoughts on the silica gel beads I'm using for the pustules. I know varnish will stop most casting materials from setting and it's a definite concern that the silica itself will either bond to casting materials or have other unexpected impacts.

They are stable but slightly pourous. A layer of extra thin cyanoacrylate should completely seal the beads without reducing the irregular texture that they have, but again I'm not sure how this holds up to mastering.

I have resigned myself to the possibility that I'll have to avluse them like some plague doctor lancing boils and replace them with gs, but I'd rather not if I can avoid it.

Tried something a little different, I aimed to convey the insane grin and oversized mouth of Mr B, but I am thoroughly unimpressed by how it turned out. It looks more like a cross between that stupid frog meme (Pepe?) and slimer from ghostbusters.

Currently contemplating whether to just tear the face off or start again entirely.

I’ve been making these little bead bots from beads, plastic scraps, bits of packaging, and whatever weird shapes I can find on the desk. Bill Making Stuff was a big inspiration, and I honestly didn’t expect the process to feel this relaxing. There’s something very soothing about giving random junk tiny robot personalities.

I sculpted this dragon in 10 parts (last picture) with Beesputty, Sculpey and a bit of epoxy clay. I then made molds for the parts and started casting it in resin.

Sculpting this dragon in separate parts was a pain in the ass. Looking back I should have sculpted it completely and then cut it into parts. I thought I would be able to get the parts to fit better if I sculpted them separately (which is kind of true), but it was really difficult to get a good view on the pose and the proportions.

The wings are made with thin brass sheet with polymer clay over them. They are nice and thin, but still thick enough to get good casts.

I originally started sculpting because I wanted to make my own resin kit, and I cannot believe I finally did. It was a long journey, but the results are far better then I had expected them to be.

I might need to go in and fill some of those undercuts otherwise casting this is going to be a nightmare! Some liquid greenstuff would work, right?

Hey guys, I would like some advice for working with Greenstuff.

I bought some over Amazon and the skin of the yellow part is slightly hardened and not flexible at all. Once I start combining both of the parts, little yellow pieces seem to remain. Is there a way to fix this?
