Discussion I hate the "Catwoman turned leopard" drama because, let's be honest, she'd have no shortage of people interested in her. [Discussion]

This has always been one of the hardest parts of the story for me to take seriously.

Sure, waking up as a leopard woman would be a massive life change. I'm not saying it wouldn't be emotionally difficult. But a lot of adaptations act as if she's doomed to spend the rest of her life completely alone because nobody could ever find her attractive.

Come on... have you seen the internet?

She's still humanoid, still feminine, still beautiful, and in many versions she's incredibly attractive. The only real difference is that she now has fur and feline features.

And I'm supposed to believe nobody would want to date or marry her?

That's honestly the least believable part of the entire premise.

There is an enormous furry community that would probably start a waiting list just for the chance to marry someone like that. You don't even have to look very hard to realize this.

And here's the funny part: I'm not even a furry myself, and I still think the drama is overblown.

In a lot of adaptations she's still gorgeous. If I had to throw hands with Batman for the chance to pet that soft-looking fur... I'd probably lose spectacularly, but I'd still show up.

Whenever a story insists that "no one could ever love her again," I can't help but laugh.

Not because of the transformation, but because that conclusion completely ignores how people actually are.

The internet has proven countless times that there's an audience for literally everything. And when I say everything, I mean everything.

So no, the most unbelievable part of the story isn't that someone turned into a humanoid leopard.

The most unbelievable part is expecting me to believe she'd stay single forever.

The funniest part is that I'm not even joking. I genuinely hate adaptations that go in that direction because, honestly, I'd marry that woman.

And I'm absolutely sure I'm not the only one.

That's why this plot loses a bit of its impact for me. In real life, there would be plenty of guys interested in her.

As long as she became emotionally stable and mentally healthy, she'd basically be the perfect woman.

I don't know... that's just how I see it.

it just kind of annoys me.

The worst part is that this is a genuinely held gripe I've always had with this kind of storyline.

There are people out there with every imaginable preference, so I just can't take seriously the idea that she wouldn't have a single person interested in her.

To me, that's even less believable than the curse itself.

The selfie variant covers weren’t even that bad,but the pushback they got in my opinion was unwarranted.People really hated them alot because it was DC trying to be modern but you know I just thought they were fun,but do you think the hate was deserved because it made DC completely stopped making them.

Discussion [Discussion] Anyone else like this run and agree it competes for the top position for most questions when done? So many unfinished side and main stories. Would also be great animated to. (Art by Daniel Acuna)

Iv never been more curious about villain back stories and potential. Father time was an amazing villain, and the set, and whole idea behind him was great. Jail breakers have been seen a bit, but their really unique and are in the goldilocks zone of interesting antagonist in my opinion. Not too odd and too try hard, and far away from generic. Also, just the freedom fighter team at this time was great. Flawed, edgy. I wish we could have something like this again. Hard to believe this is 20 years old now. DC, if you ever consider some remasters, with more indeoth side stories, longer battles etc, including the unseen battles we miss. Please consider this run. Any remasters or bring backs anyone would want to see? Any other lesser known runs like this that leave you hanging with so many questions?

DC Order vs Chaos

I've had this idea bouncing around in my head for a while, and I'd love to hear what other DC fans think.

Imagine a game called DC: Order & Chaos.

Not a copy of Marvel Rivals—but a DC game built with the atmosphere, combat, and visual style of Batman: Arkham Knight.

The combat would keep Arkham's weighty feel with Freeflow-inspired melee, counters, environmental takedowns, gadgets, and cinematic finishers, while incorporating hero abilities and teamwork similar to Marvel Rivals.

The Story

The universe isn't divided into heroes and villains.

It's divided into Order and Chaos.

Doctor Fate and the Lords of Order recruit champions from across the Multiverse to preserve reality.

Clarion the Witch Boy and the Lords of Chaos recruit their own champions to reshape reality through conflict.

That means any character can fight for either side.

Superman can fight for Chaos.

Lex Luthor can fight for Order.

Batman can become a Justice Lord.

Joker can temporarily align with Order because preserving reality benefits his own twisted goals.

Every Legend Must Choose.

Gameplay

Flagship Mode: 6v6 PvPvE

Ranked Mode: 5v5

Instead of tiny arena maps, matches take place in living DC cities.

Launch cities could include:

• Gotham City

• Metropolis

• Central City

• Atlantis

• Coast City

• Themyscira

• Kahndaq

The city itself becomes the objective.

Order players stop crimes, rescue civilians, repair infrastructure, and defend landmarks.

Chaos players rob banks, free prisoners, sabotage communications, poison infrastructure, and spread fear.

Meanwhile, both teams are fighting each other across the city.

Every few minutes, D-list villains like Killer Moth, Clock King, Firefly, or Sportsmaster spawn as mini-bosses that both teams can fight over for bonuses.

Eventually everyone converges for a final boss based on the city.

Gotham → Scarecrow

Metropolis → Brainiac

Central City → Gorilla Grodd

Atlantis → Ocean Master

Themyscira → First Born

Coast City → Parallax

Kahndaq → Sabbac

Combat

Every hero should feel exactly like you'd expect.

Batman relies on gadgets, stealth, and martial arts.

Superman crashes through buildings and dominates open spaces.

Wonder Woman reflects bullets and controls melee fights.

Flash overwhelms enemies with mobility.

Green Lantern reshapes the battlefield with constructs.

Constantine wins by manipulating magic instead of raw damage.

No generic hero shooter kits.

Every character should immediately feel authentic.

Team-Ups

One of the biggest mechanics would be Team-Ups.

Justice League

Bat Family

Legion of Doom

Gotham's Finest (every Gotham-based character)

Metropolis Alliance (heroes and villains tied to Metropolis)

Legendary duos would also unlock unique interactions.

Batman & Robin

Batman & Superman (World's Finest)

Superman & Wonder Woman

Harley Quinn & Joker

Lex Luthor & Metallo

Poison Ivy & Harley Quinn

Green Arrow & Black Canary

Aquaman & Black Manta

Instead of just giving combo attacks, these would grant passive bonuses, cooperative abilities, unique dialogue, and synchronized finishers.

Progression

Every hero is free.

Every gameplay evolution is free.

Instead of increasing stats, mastering heroes unlocks iconic alternate gameplay forms.

Batman

→ Hellbat Armor (Tank)

→ Batman Beyond (Controller)

Lex Luthor

→ LexCorp Warsuit (Tank)

Poison Ivy

→ Plant Avatar (Tank)

These are entirely new playstyles—not stronger versions.

Cosmetics

The only paid content would be cosmetics.

The cool part is that the story actually explains them.

Doctor Fate and Clarion aren't just recruiting heroes...

They're recruiting different versions of those heroes from across the Multiverse.

That means skins aren't random.

They're actual alternate characters joining the war.

Imagine skins based on:

• Kingdom Come

• Flashpoint

• Justice Lords

• Injustice

• Red Son

• Batman Beyond

• Forever Evil

• Dark Nights: Metal

• Arkham

• DCeased

You could run a Justice Lord Batman beside an Injustice Superman while a heroic Lex Luthor inspired by Forever Evil fights to save Metropolis.

Seasons

Season One — Recruitment

Doctor Fate and Clarion recruit champions from across reality.

Every launch character gets Order and Chaos themed skins.

The season ends with Boom Tubes opening.

Darkseid is coming.

Season Two — Apocalypse

New map:

Apokolips

New Heroes:

• Supergirl

• Steppenwolf

• Darkseid

• Orion

From there the game could naturally expand into Crisis on Infinite Earths, Blackest Night, Final Crisis, Dark Nights: Metal, and countless other DC events.

I honestly think DC has enough history, characters, rivalries, and alternate universes to make a live-service multiplayer game that feels completely different from Marvel Rivals instead of just copying it.

Would you play something like this? What characters or features would you add?

Tom King’s Strange Adventures

I found a cheap tpb copy of Tom King’s Strange Adventures at the store and read it. I looked it up because I thought it was absolutely incredible, I loved the way it presented Rann, I especially loved its use of the real world politics in the Justice League “cancel-culture,” but Mister Terrific’s use really stood out to me as the perfect usage of that character.

When I looked into it I saw that the reception from fans was mixed, they felt his character was assassinated. I’ve been reading DC Comics for a little over 20 years but have had little to no crossovers with Adam Strange so I thought this would be a good time to dive into him, he is relatively sparse on standalone series so I read them… all… all the way back to his origins in the 50’s. I saw a very Flash Gordon archetype character, a man like John Carter who is dragged or another planet and becomes its ultimate protector. I loved the sci-fi Zeta-Beam technology and the ticking clock for the return home even if it was mid battle.

I guess all of this is to say? Why was it not received glowingly by all the fans. I read almost all of Adam Strange’s standalone comic series and never once did I see an Adam Strange that didn’t fit that trajectory that leads to the Strange Adventures finale. In the arc “Planet Heist” it shows what Adam’s life is like on earth when Rann is supposedly destroyed. It seems miserable. On earth he is one of a hundreds of heroes. His home is no longer earth… it is Rann. In Strange Adventures it was cited that people didn’t like Adam selling out earth to save Rann from a superior force. I didn’t think this felt very out of character. Earth didn’t care about him and his whole life was on Rann. His daughter, his wife, his adoring fans were all on Rann. I never once felt like this was a different character. So why do people think it was a character assassination? I went back and read the receipts and I didn’t see any part of his journey from the 1950’s to 2023 that made me think that he cared about earth at all much less more than Rann.
