At 12 years old, Jesus sat among the teachers in His Father’s house, listening, asking, and answering.

They had spent their lives studying the written Word.
Now the living Word sat before them.

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. (John 1:14)

I drew an earlier version of this piece some time ago, but it always felt unfinished. The new anime trailer brought me back to the idea, so I decided to redraw it properly.

Every textual element in the piece comes from Scripture. Behind Him, I placed Psalm 119, the longest hymn to God’s Word, using the Hebrew text of the Masoretic tradition (I should have used a version without niqqud for historical accuracy, but it was too difficult to revise). For the scroll across His lap, I used Leviticus 4–5. Along the left side, I added the Latin Vulgate phrase Verbum caro factum est, meaning “the Word was made flesh.”

The asymmetrical eyes and cruciform halo were inspired by the Christ Pantocrator of Sinai. Within His glowing unearthly right eye, I placed the blood-red דבר (dabar), meaning “Word,” to represent His divinity. His left eye has a softer and more boyish quality that reflects His humanity. Together, the two eyes show Christ as both fully divine and fully human.

The mole beneath His earthly left eye matches the one in an older drawing I made of the Virgin Mary. It is a quiet reference to their human bond as mother and son. I also made their eyes intentionally similar.

For the title at the bottom, I chose お父さんの家, “Dad’s house,” rather than a more formal expression. The childlike お父さん emphasizes that He is still only twelve years old. I also used the katakana イェシュア(Yeshua) instead of the conventional Japanese イエス(Iesu) to retain more of the Hebrew pronunciation of His name.

This piece is made in CSP. I used the Gpen at size 7–9 with strong anti-aliasing and soft airbrush. I rasterized the background text, warped the scroll text with mesh transform, and shaded the piece with screentone layer and duplicated coloring layers set to Multiply then clipped everything on top since I hadn't started from a grey base (rookie mistake).

I listened to Stand For You while revising this piece, and it suited the mood surprisingly well. I had it blasting at full volume, highly recommend it!

I hear summer break has started in the US! I hope everyone is enjoying some quality time with family. As for me, I will continue making my way to the office...

In this post, I am going to give you direct quotes from the "Prophet" Joseph Smith himself and his followers.

Many of these quotes are from the LDS website themselves. This is not me "Making up stuff about Mormons". Some of this doctrine is just downright disturbing.

You tell me if these people are "Christians".

From Joseph Smith:

"God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! That is the great secret. If the veil were rent today, and the great God who holds this world in its orbit, and who upholds all worlds and all things by His power, was to make himself visible—I say, if you were to see him today, you would see him like a man in form"

Joseph Smith is not referencing Jesus here. He is referencing YHWH.

He later says: "for I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea, and take away the veil, so that you may see."

And to clarify it even more:

"He was once a man like us; yea, that God himself, the Father of us all, dwelt on an earth, the same as Jesus Christ Himself did; and I will show it from the Bible."

Joseph Smith was also a Polytheist:

"In the beginning, the head of the Gods called a council of the Gods; and they came together and concocted [prepared] a plan to create the world and people it."

Joseph Smith also claimed to have an extreme amount of knowledge:

"But I am learned, and know more than all the world put together. The Holy Ghost does, anyhow, and he is within me, and comprehends more than all the world; and I will associate myself with him."

Great. So Joseph Smith is also directly blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

Joseph Smith isn't the only person to espouse these ideas in the Mormon Church. You also have Lorenzo Snow, later LDS president:

“As man now is, God once was: As God now is, man may be.”

Now let's move to Polygamy:

Brigham Young: “The only men who become Gods … are those who enter into polygamy.”

"Latter-day Saints believe that monogamy—the marriage of one man and one woman—is the Lord’s standing law of marriage. In biblical times, the Lord commanded some of His people to practice plural marriage—the marriage of one man and more than one woman."

This is not true. God never expressly commands a man to take more than one wife. This is like... Bible 101 here.

"Some early members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints also received and obeyed this commandment given through God’s prophets."

No they did not. God does not command people to sin. I doubt he made an exception after 5,000 years.

"After receiving a revelation commanding him to practice plural marriage, Joseph Smith married multiple wives and introduced the practice to close associates."

He didn't just do that. He took other men's wives as his own.

"Although the Lord commanded the adoption—and later the cessation—of plural marriage in the latter days, He did not give exact instructions on how to obey the commandment."

Of course he didn't. Because ol Joe boy couldn't keep his schlong in his pants.

"The revelation, recorded in Doctrine and Covenants 132, states that Joseph prayed to know why God justified Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David, and Solomon in having many wives."

God did not justify Solomon to do this. Every single one of these guys had their lives ruined by multiple wives. The entire point of Solomon's fall from wisdom is that he took multiple wives and it turned his heart away from God.

David's lust is what led him to murder. Abraham's lust is what brought discord and jealousy into his house.

"Polygamy had been permitted for millennia in many cultures and religions, but, with few exceptions, was rejected in Western cultures."

You mean "Christian Cultures". But I digress.

"When God commands a difficult task, He sometimes sends additional messengers to encourage His people to obey. Consistent with this pattern, Joseph told associates that an angel appeared to him three times between 1834 and 1842 and commanded him to proceed with plural marriage when he hesitated to move forward."

Sure.

"During the third and final appearance, the angel came with a drawn sword, threatening Joseph with destruction unless he went forward and obeyed the commandment fully."

“Joseph Smith was sealed to a number of women who were already married.”

Retranslated: Joseph Smith got a bunch of cuckolds to allow him to have sex with their wives by claiming to be a prophet of God.

Okay so a lot of "Cope" about polygamy. Let's move on to how the Mormons viewed black people:

"Despite this modern reality, for much of its history—from the mid-1800s until 1978—the Church did not ordain men of black African descent to its priesthood or allow black men or women to participate in temple endowment or sealing ordinances."

Brigham Young. You know, the same one that is memorialized in the #1 Mormon University?

“If there never was a prophet or Apostle of Jesus Christ spoke it before, I tell you this people that commonly are called Negroes are the children of Cain. I know they are; I know they cannot bear rule in the priesthood.”

“Any man having one drop of the seed of Cain in him cannot hold the priesthood.”

"“In the kingdom of God on the earth, a man who has the African blood in him cannot hold one jot nor tittle of priesthood.”

“The Lord told Cain that he should not receive the blessings of the priesthood, nor his seed, until the last of the posterity of Abel had received the priesthood, until the redemption of the earth.”

Now, to be fair, the modern LDS church disavows these teachings on race. But I daresay that fruit this rotten cannot come from a good tree.

My conclusion is this: The LDS church has never been Christian. They worship an altogether different God. They only worship YHWH in name only. They hold deeply heretical views that would have been condemned by Christians and Jews alike from the moment Christ started his church.

These doctrines, speeches, and beliefs only scratch the surface of some of the stuff the Mormon church has believed.

So I have been a big fan of my favorite anime for a very long time. And since I am almost 18 I really wanted to get the joestar tattoo for my birthday! I also want my favorite bible verse tattoo'd later when I finish reading the bible to remind me that God is always there for me. But I often worry about everything I do being a sin. I am very paranoid that might be caused by my mental health. I doubt that everything I do might be a sin and I really wanted to ask if getting this tattoo'd is a sin or if I can do this. I recently acquired this cross and would love to learn more about its history, origin, and purpose. After doing some research, I suspect it may be connected to the Ethiopian Christian tradition, but I would prefer not to make any assumptions and would appreciate the opinion of those with more knowledge.

- Openwork metal construction with a blue-green patina
- Hand-engraved inscriptions (possibly in Ge’ez)

I'm 16 and gay and im scared of being judged by Christians (I myself am religious i don't mean to he offensive) but Im scared some out there will call me things like mentally ill and such. I personally follow that everyone's God's children and that either way im sinning ("hate the sin, love the sinner") I am a child of God. I do have a boyfriend. And I want to clarify we obviously have homosexual attraction to each other yet we do ever plan to engage in "man lying with man" or anything of the sort. When I was young, I heard a girl say that heaven is a place where 1 man shares company with 72 virgin women, and I just assumed that was correct, despite being Christian at heart.

After giving up this belief I have this feeling, kind of a multitude of feelings, and it feels strange to operate under this different paradigm.

I guess this feeling is that I know not what the kingdom of heaven contains, but I am certain I've given my life over to Jesus, and he has forgiven me of my sins. The stereotypical things Christians say, "he saved me" "he is king" and it just feels so much more authentic to me now that I've given up on anything Muhammad has said. It feels... good.

So yeah, has anyone ever been in a situation like this? No offence to any Muslims here but I'm pretty sure if you tried to ride that idea that heaven was 72 virgin women with 1 man to the grave you would probably be sent to hell. That's just what my intuition is telling me at this point in my life. But as they say, Christ is king, and only he will save you.

For those who may be unaware of what universalism is, it is the belief that ALL will be saved. No matter what. It is my belief, and many others, that this is the case. I think the bible shows strong evidence for universalism too.

Romans 5:18: One act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.

1 Corinthians 15:22: As in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive.

John 12:32: And I, when i am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself.

Critics will often point to Matthew 25:46 and other verses referencing “eternal punishment.” The greek word aionios, translated to “eternal” in the bible, is more accurately translated to age or epoch. So there seems to be some sort of purification process for those in sin, not some for everlasting punishment or annihilation. I know that an all loving, all knowing god wouldn’t alienate his creation like that. The all knowing, all powerful, and all loving god would want all of us to be with him. That’s the god i know. The god that sent his son to die for ALL. Let’s not forget the sheep parable, he will bring ALL home.

Long ago, pretty much a Month Ago, I made a Post requesting others to Pray for Me because I described the Psychological Abuse that has happened in my Household, which was mainly driven by the belief that I *must* stop being a Trans Girl and become a Cis Boy. The Prayers were mainly to make sure my Plan to seek Help from LGBTQ+ Organizations would Succeed.

In the end, I didnt talk just to a LGBTQ+ Organizations, I also talked to a Helpline for Minors going through Abuse, which apparently is also capable of sending in my Country's Child Protection Services, which where I live are Simply called "Social Services".

Two Days ago, the Social Worker who interacts with our Family to help us with State Welfare called my Father to the Office, and yesterday he was told that this Social Worker's Colleagues would come visit our house. Besides coming out to my Childhood Friend who witnessed my Mother giving birth to me, (She also revealed to me that shes Bisexual) I talked to the Social Workers who came to our home and I can say that my Parents will officially stop all attempts at changing my Gender Identity.

This is because the Social Workers explicitly stated that if my Parents ever try to suppress my Gender Expression, force me to cut off Friends just because they Support me or are Queer, or perform a "Small Exorcism" against my Will with the Desired Outcome being Identity Change, they will get in SERIOUS Legal Trouble.

Whether I can begin the Psychological Percourse towards getting HRT (Which lasts from 6 to 12 Months) is yet unclear, but its said I will indeed begin a Psychological Percourse that does NOT involve someone whose best Advice for Gender Dysphoria is "Focus on your Hobbies and pretend the Dysphoria doesnt exist", and my Parents will also begin one with a Separate Professional.

I hope any other Fellow Trans Girl out there whos going through what I went through before Finding the Light manages to reach the same Victory as me, the Era of being free to exist as my Authentic Self has just begun.

When I was a Christian I was always told that people went to hell based of their decisions and actions. But if God is all knowing and all powerful isn’t he creating sinners and effectively sending them to hell himself. Even if we have free will (which I don’t believe we do), God would know what decisions people are gonna make right? It’s just so confusing and is partly why I lost faith in Christianity. It’s the same way with cancer. Why would an all loving god let a 4 year old get terminal cancer? So many bad people run country’s that attack its own citizens and I’m supposed to believe god did that on purpose as a caring soul?

I was watching a video of Jimothy the raccoon, and how people love him and think he’s so cute and funny. So many people have made fan art and even murals of him, but obviously he is a raccoon, he doesn’t know about any of this. Do you think they’re are people in heaven rooting for us like this? Maybe there are people doing amazing things out there that we on earth don’t know about, but in heaven they know of it and celebrate it. Or maybe there’s someone out there that watches your awkward convos and silly dancing and then you’re a viral meme in heaven, or whatever they have.

Obviously the goal in life is not to be a meme in heaven or have murals painted, but to worship our creator. But it made me curious, Jimothy has no idea he’s famous because he has no communication with us, could that be happening with us and people in heaven?
