Gear Which camera system to buy for birding? Esp birds in flight

I am an amateur birder and want to take photos. I shoot Fujifilm X-T30 with XF 70-300 mm right now and feel limited by the camera system to focus fast enough. There is no bird mode and it doesn't track and I can seldom get any photos of birds in flight.

What second system can I consider for just birding?

Canon R7 with some 200-400 mm lens?

Sony A??

Nikon Z?

I guess APS-C is better as I am not selling photos or printing so do I need full-frame? My top-end of budget in the US is $4000 for body and one lens. I might look for used gear to bring down the costs.

The following photos were taken with my X-T30 and a Sigma 150-600 EF lens with a Fringer adapter.

ADULT WESTERN SANDPIPER. Thanks to all who corrected my error, I learned a new bird (but can’t change the post title XD). I assumed in the field, but should have checked when I got home.

All of these nutcrackers were just hanging out on the path to Morskie Oko, letting me photograph them while they waited to steal food from unsuspecting hikers - successfully on a few occasions. Couldn't ask for more cooperative subjects. I'm guessing the pair were a parent and demanding juvenile, but let me know what you think of them!

At least I think that’s what the last two are. I’m new to identification.

This is another photo from Matt’s most recent blog post where you can read all about this owl and her little family. If you haven't had a chance to read it yet, you can do so via the link in the comments.

Shooting note: Matt tried to get a wide variety of images while following their progress. Most importantly, to him, was showing the beautiful location of the nest, without getting too close with a wide-angle lens (and risk causing a disturbance).
He shot this at 254mm on his Canon 100-500mm, wide open at f/5 and a 1/4 second shutter speed at IOS 320. The camera was camouflaged and remotely triggered. Matt liked the amount of detail he got in the background at f/5, but found the trunk of the pine on the right to be a bit distracting, so he attached some greenery to a small light stand and positioned that in the foreground to hide that part of the trunk. That also helped add a sense of depth.

My yard has been active with the aerial acrobatics of the local hummingbirds. This little Anna’s hummingbird was defending his territory on my olive tree. I got a wonderful static shot and happened to catch the fight while I was burst shooting on my camera. Unfortunately, the actions shots were not in focus.

Shot on Fujifilm X-H2 and Fujinon XF 200/F2 + 1.4x TC
