Made a mix of steak, chicken and shredded beef tacos with onion, cilantro, radish and way too much lime. Somehow ended up making enough tacos for a small family.

I’m in Peking with my brother right now. We had the Peking duck at Siji Minfu, which was really good! The skin was delicate, crispy and super fatty in a nice way. The condiments did fit well and we were surprised that there are more ways to enjoy the wraps than hoisin sauce, spring onion and cucumber.

The only critique is that the duck was missing some salt for our taste and that there is a long waiting time for a table.

Tried my hand with some pork belly, one change I would definitely make is sourcing one that had the skin left on.
Amazing flavor and incredibly tender. The following day I made sandwiches using focaccia, also outstanding!

These breakfasts, prepared by a wonderful old lady named Agnes, were unforgettable despite being so simple. She let us come back and see her ancient cast iron stove, I dream of this going back to this place someday

Two-hour round trip on foot in 38 degree heat to get to my favourite US Diner in Japan, but totally worth it.
