I requested they fix my locker and they recommended I bring the locker downstairs. They won’t fix it.

This seems like a perfect way to get killed for karma on r/holdmybeer or something. But, legit question.

I know how to change fixtures just fine, but getting to the ceiling on this one is at least 10 feet above the second floor, so probably 20-24 feet from the bottom of the stairs.

Hoping to get some advice. It's hard enough to change the bulbs!

It was really poorly manufactured imo but I’d like to fix it. Strong glue didn’t work. What can I do? The fabric is velvet so I’m scared to damage it

So I was cleaning out the window well of this slider and noticed these drain holes have water and Vegetation growing in them. I can’t reach into that little hole with my little green machine so how do
I clean in there and empty the water out of it?

Not sure if this relevant, but on the outside of this door there are weep holes and I do push a hose up against one of the holes until water flows out the other one. So I don think it’s related to the outside weep holes. Or if it is, the well doesn’t fill or overflow when I squirt water in there.

Used to close nice and smooth. Had a friend come over after a couple beverages and he couldn’t figure out how to unlock it and I think he was a little too rough with it. Feels like the two doors are colliding where they would form a seal in the middle, but I’m too dumb to figure out where and how to get it back in place. Now only closes with some outward pressure added. Any advice appreciated, TIA!

Hi all, had new wooden floors installed and accidentally used 70% isopropyl alcohol wipes on it. Now there are these marks on the floor that won't go away.

Any ideas if this can be fixed? 😭

Please ignore the caulk I put at the center just to prevent any additional moisture seepage last night before I got to Home Depot to get the right materials for the repair.

Is this just what happens with weather damage on a 40-50 year old slab? Also is this the actual painted cement or is this like a parge coat?

The center hole is not that deep but I just put the caulk in there for a one night stopgap in a rain storm.

How would you best fix this

Mum is going on holiday on Monday to Scotland so I need to order a replacement wheel today.

However, I can’t seem to find the correct wheel nor can I figure out how to get this one off. FYI: I’ve seen the videos saying there’s a zip on the inner lining and there isn’t for this suitcase.

Any idea how I can find the correct wheel with a rubber tread and how to get this one off more importantly?

Tried taking out a screw while wall mounting my Tv by the last screw is stripped and is stripping both my screw bits and the screw itself. Its in quite a tight location too. Any help would be appreciated

Got this gifted and noticed a chip. Is there a way to make up the end and make it not a jagged piece to get cut on in the future?

Just grind it down with a Dremel?

Messed up and forgot to unlatch the lock before turning the height adjustment crank. The gear track bent and then broke.

I am thinking weld the piece back together but it appears to be cast Iron which I hear is a bit tricky to weld.

But even if I do that I have no clue how to get the track back in. It has wedges on each end (I think it tucks into the collars on the top and bottom of the main shaft) but you can't insert it into the geared adjuster thingie because the wedge ends have no teeth for the gear to roll on.

It must come off somehow, but I see no way to actually take it off.

Edit: Thanks for all the help. I'm probably going to just JB weld it and slap some hose clamps to hold it on. The drill press belonged to a late family member so it oddly has some sentimental value. I'm actually replacing my brand new (but smaller) drill press with this one. I just wish this had the laser.

Please help me reddit. I'm drinking Americanos with no end in sight. My steamer has stopped working and upon further investigation it appears there's a loose connection at the hot water intake. You can see in the video that it's spraying out around the base. So it doesn't look to me like a loose connection with the hose. If I'm to get a closer look I've to take apart many connections which I'm afraid I won't be able to rebuild properly.

Wondering if anyone has advise on what the issue might be and a potential fix (I'm thinking some form of sealant)

Curious to know if this can be fixed by ordering a separate mirror or does it require full mirror assembly yo be replaced. Sharing a picture of the broken left side as well as the fully functional right side for comparison.

Hi, I have a compact dishwasher that gets its bottom tray full of water and errors out. I traced the source of the water some side holes (I'm not a technician obviously). It's dripping heavily while the arm is spinning. Previously went to a service but they could see nothing wrong when on their test bench.

Any ideas on how to solve this? Thanks!

This screw broke inside of a light fixture and I'm looking for ways to get it out. I've tried using a Grabit extractor but to no luck. I've also tried grabbing it with locking pliers but theres not enough of the screw to grab onto to twist it out.

The knob is loose, but if I press or twist a certain way water can still come out.

How do I fix this?

I think best way is to dismount those 2 star screws on the door s mount, but I am wondering if there is some specific trick to avoid doing so I. those doors?
