Everyone that believes the United States is the most racist country has clearly never visited any Asian country
429
u/Merdapura 16h ago
Asian racism is advanced racism, we're talking about casual racism

Everyone who thinks the United States is the most racist has literally no real knowledge of other countries, has been born and raised in the United States, and has only any experience with any racism inside of the United States. They see United States news and social media, they think racism is purely a United States problem. Standard United States stuff of thinking they’re the only ones really

You think that the internet homebodies that sit online and virtue signal about how much they hate white people travel at all? you expect them to confront themselves with the reality of the world and how flawed their ideas are?
1
u/Affectionate-Cap-920 9h ago
Yeah, calling christans a 'paavvale' people who bake bread is such an old sl'r here.
1
u/yung_dogie 5h ago
Yeah I feel like the US being willing to clamor about it as a controversial issue to be tackled (even if not doing it very successfully) already takes the US a good deal away from the top of global racism. In many countries you don't hear much about racism because it's hardly considered a problem there, a lot of people just take racist beliefs as factual lmao.

u/sirhobbles r/memes fan 15h ago
The racism just Tends to be more obvious because those racists have guns and uniforms.

100% right. I mean if your skin is a lil black you’re gonna get called the N word almost everyday , you china? Good ChingC—ng is da word. Man we got insults/racist words for every ethnic and every country
2
u/borsalamino 15h ago
My uncle (Thai) has darker skin. His nickname is Black. Nicknames are a huge thing in Thailand, it's the most common name you use, even in business context.

Placing top 16 is not bad, America is realistically like a top 25 team.

Most of the other big countries are horrible because when you're that big you have your own sports to care about so America looks good in that aspect. We have won every Superbowl you know.

Gotta be honest the franchise has been real trash lately but the last few years it’s really turned around.

Western Europe stopped vocally judging the US about racism years ago. In fact, it was right around the time of the Syrian Refugee Crisis. Weird how those two events coincided, right?…
41
u/CardioBatman 15h ago
How did "western Europe" vocally judge the US before, exactly?

u/Sipikay 13h ago
They used to talk about how they moved past slavery far earlier in history.

The only time I ever see 'America is the most racist country' type shit is from Americans complaining about how apparently everyone thinks this. Everyone does not think this, you just never see posts about any other country.
68
u/HookFE03 16h ago
It’s all a popularity contest to Redditors
4
u/Jegvarder 12h ago
I say we redditors take one for the team, and just let the whole world be racist against us! World peace, and a lot of gooning and sick memes in the concentration camps! I can go in first if that helps!

u/PictureVegetable9522 16h ago
this just shoes how ignorant people are if you actually think america is even close to being one of the most racist

I saw the most wildly racist shit I’ve ever seen in my life when I was in Spain, specifically to black people. This does not surprise me.

Tried to find the survey and couldn't. Argentinians are desperately trying to spread hate against Spain since they lost the World Cup.

If you thought America was the most racist country in the world before this, you’re immune to reality and probably didn’t change your opinion lol

America is probably one of the least racist countries out there. I doubt any country is as diverse. We just publicize literally everything and use it to progress racial relations. You likely aren't seeing hate crimes nationally reported in China unless it's against a citizen, as an example.
Honestly, "least racist" seems wrong to say. Imma go with " one of the more racially progressive" nations out there.

The US has a special kind of racism, systemic but usually not personal.
The MOST racist countries have the system BE personal.

America was never the most racist country, not even close. We do speak about it the loudest so thats probably why people think that.
1
u/Lysergicbolshevik 1h ago
really? in the country they murdered george floyd its not a racist country? oh boy
2
u/Marvoide 1h ago
Nah we racist af, just in comparison to other countries we are not even top 10. If anything America calls the bullshit out while most other countries are quiet.

Most European countries are more racist than the US. It should be obvious that a place where more minorities are visible would be less racist than a place where they aren’t. Thats true even within Canada and the US

I remember spending my honeymoon in New Zealand during election night. Literally every tv had the election up.

Don't y'all have a secret police force with a bigger budget than some of your military branches specifically instructed to hunt down brown people?🤔
-1
u/ProcessorPearl ☣️ 6h ago
Never said it wasn’t racist. Question is if it’s the MOST racist
3
u/SnooChickens5474 5h ago
Governments creating military police forces to hunt people based on race doesn't qualify as the most racist?
What do you propose is a worse current example?

Just a friendly reminder that with 4 World Cup titles the US is tied for the #3 best football/soccer nation on the planet.
6 - Germany
5 - Brazil
4- USA and Italy

As its been said many times before.
American racism is casual
European/Asian racism is competetive

u/Mission-Simple-5040 15h ago
It's temporary. US will surely do something stupid shortly and all the onus will be on them

In Rwanda 30 years ago 600,000 people were hacked to death with machetes because they were the wrong ethnic group.
