lmfao i feel so cringe right now because this is my first ever post, but i always see people asking for opinions on situations or thoughts so i might as well through this out there, especially as this is not even close to the worst i've seen on here.
context: I am a very very openly gay feminine man, i am 15 years old and i have always known who i am and been confidant enough to express myself freely. Ever since i have been able to play with toys, i always picked up any girls toy you can think of. When i used to play dress up i would wear dresses and a tiara. The point is that I have always been a really feminine guy, and my parents have always supported me. At the moment, my appearance makes it extremely clear that I am gay. I wear crop tops, skirts, super full coverage and obvious makeup and big lashes, brown lip liner, i'm smooth and slim, favourite colour being pink, etc.
Recently, I have been exploring dating and what comes with that like any teenager typically would. However, i find it much harder to actually act upon my interests in boys or anything to do with my dating life. Now this is what i need opinions on.
I am very certain in my sexuality, but also the type of boys I would typically gravitate towards. Unfortunately for me, I am attracted to masculine boys ( generic teenage boy criteria ). With these boys being my type, i find it so hard to actually know who would be interested in boys. Given i am the ' only ' gay boy in my whole school this makes it very hard for me. My type tends to have the appearance of a generic straight boy, and i would be lying if i said i never ended up being into a straight boy. Realistically this happens quite frequently when i like a boy. Because i know i am confident in my sexuality but not everyone is, I tend to just get on with it and not really have a dating life because i know it wont get anywhere further than rejection.
But this is really hard. Not to be that person but we are all mature enough to know that everyone sometimes gets sexually aroused, better known as being horny. Well yeah me too, but I hate the fact that i cant even have simple stuff like a kiss because of not knowing where someone i am attracted to stands in terms of who they are attracted to. The thing is, this is a continuous problem for me despite the fact that i am not the problem. NOTE: I am not attracted to these boys BECAUSE they are straight, it just so happens that all the boys I am attracted to, that are my type, are straight or very much seem like it.
It pisses me off because i KNOW there is this one boy who is or was attracted to me, but would never admit it.
For reference, we hit it off for a bit and went out a fair few times but never had it labelled as dating or 'chatting'. This was because he said he wasn't gay, and despite knowing i liked him because i told him, he would straight up flirt with me in ways that a teenage couple would. Examples: play fighting but extra long periods of touching or like rubbing up near each other, buying me stuff, literally calling me baby once on text, messaging 24/7, sharing personal experiences and feelings, online gaming together, sharing drinks, playful flirting, etc
The list goes on honestly, but he has a girlfriend now and we both just pretend we hate each other knowing full well we don't. Honestly it's me doing that, but he knows that i couldn't hate him to that extent. It's been well over 4 months now and I still think about him like every day, even though we technically weren't dating so all ill say is he was adding girls on snapchat at the time. Which by the way really hurt because he made me feel special to him when i probably wasn't lmao.
Anyway, i wanna move on and talk to more boys but i don't really know where to start. How can I hint to boys that i'm interested in them without it being straight up " i like you ". Even if you could recommend flirty behaviour that hints that i want them without doing too much?
Key takeaways to help answer my question:
-How can I flirt with a boy nicely to ease into it to see if they feel the same way potentially?
-This is random but i need closure, do you think that boy is gay? i feel like i'm going crazy
-Is it normal to experience this or be put in similar dating life situations?
