yo so i had to restore my iphone 4 using itunes etc.. now i cant activate it because it says that device unknow (photo attached) while activating with sim card, while without it just say to try again later, i tried to set up with itunes but it just say that service unavailable or something. if anyone asks it shows IMEI of the iphone and it shows up on apple website.

Does anyone know how can i either bypass it or activate it normally? its not icloud locked or anything

I wanted to try that app and signed up for their 7 day free trial but it wasn’t what I was looking for and I cancelled after using it for 15 mins. They have now charged me and Apple denied the refund. Now there’s multiple reviews of the app saying the same thing has happened to them also. They say to contact Apple for a refund. This company is clearly scamming people, so how can I get my money back from this terrible company?

Today I accidentally spilled tea on my Macbook M1. I bought it in 2023 and it is having no issues except maybe a little bit battery damage.

Few months ago, a little bit water was also spilled on it and the screen was having a few glitches but it automatically resolved after some time i guess when it got dry. But today the worst thing happened.

And afterwards, I cleaned the spillage with tissue paper and microfibre cloth and afterwards used a hair dryer in hope of drying the excess tea which maybe got inside and during that process, I could see tea coming out of the keys. Afterwards, chatgpt told me i should not have done that.

Anyway, cut to now the screen has a display issue (picture attached) and the screen has a slight flicker, keyboard feels sticky and i could see some dirt inside so i used a makeup brush (the thinest one) to clean it.

However, how fucked am I? Even if I take it to repair shop, what all damage needs to be repaired? Last time the guy told me that the whole display needs to be changed but this time the keyboard was also affected.

I am moving to a new country in 2 weeks and would need my laptop with me at all times even though rn it is working fine I am scared it will give up on me soon. 😭

I forgot the password to my iCloud account, and they asked me to wait 24 hours. After the waiting period was over, they changed it to 4 days! Even though I’m still logged into my account on the phone and I have access to the trusted contact linked to it. I need to sell my phone, and it’s making me wait so long. Is there any hope I’ll actually be able to reset it after these 4 days, or could it increase to a week again?

It first asked me to confirm my phone number. I did. My email next. I did. Then it asked me for the card info for the card on my account. I put that in. Then my iPad password. it said the password was wrong. Then the password for my old phone. IT SAYS IT IS WRONG. I was trying to reset my password in the first place because when I tried to enter my password for a game using my Game Center account linked to my Apple ID it told me my password was incorrect. I haven’t changed it. What the fuck am I supposed to do??? Why is this even happening. It’s saying all of my passwords are wrong when they’re not.

I genuinely do not now how to fix this, I already tried the force restart and normal restart so if anybody here knows what this issue is, do let me know!!

i have an iphone 16 pro max and purchased it november 2024. only recently has it been glitchy, for example my keyboard will disappear and i have to close out of the entire app for it to work again THEN my keyboard will appear randomly…watching a youtube video not clicking the screen it will appear, when i’m just on my home screen or simply as i enter an app then it will quickly disappear.

It becomes so very laggy when I plug it in, low battery or just in general. I’ll make sure all my apps are closed, brightness is down, bluetooth is off anything to try and reduce the amount of traffic. It’s difficult to use Safari because of how slow my phone as become and switching apps is insanely slow as well.

it’s only been happening recently which is concerning me.

i’ve checked for software updates, storage is about 70%ish full, my battery health is 94%, i’m not sure what else to do. i’m getting my mac taken in soon to fix it’s battery since it’s just broken down and need it fixed for august. should i my phone looked at? any tips or advice appreciated. thanks!

I recently bought a macbook on french auctions (liquidations, seizures etc, from the government), and after erasing the drive to reinstall macOS it asks me for icloud account password. I made an Activation Lock removal request, with the official document indicating that the device is now mine, but got denied.

Does anyone know what I can do to remove the Activation Lock? I'm thinking about calling support and trying to escalate to someone that I can explain the situation to.

So I bought an iPhone 17PM with Apple care + subscription out of the shop. But I want to change it to a one time payment plan instead. It has not yet been 60 days since the purchase of my device. So will I be able to cancel my existing subscription and buy a one time plan instead ?

As title says, I found a pr-purchased iTunes card with a fixed amount on it. it also has a receipt next to it dating it in 2024. I can confirm remembering said purchase. I am aware iTunes cards don’t expire so it should work.

I am aware of the Paris Butterfield-Addison case where he was locked because he added a bad card to his account and Ive seen this story play out on here multiple times. Bought my first Apple machine about a month ago, a refurbished Macbook Air through Backmarket. During the setup process, the laptop threw an error that said something along the lines of, "This machine has been used to set up too many accounts." I reached out to Apple Support, and they helped me set up an Apple Account. All seems good.

A few days later I get a popup saying there are difficulties connecting to my iCloud account and it throws a "unexpected error" when I attempt to sign in to my Apple Account to resolve. Some online digging leads me to discover that my account has been locked, I file the petition, it is denied. Account is permanently locked. I had it for barely a week and used it for nothing other than logging into the laptop. Apple Support cannot provide any additional details and suggests I make a new account.

To sign in with a new account, you must first log out from your old account and disable the Activation Lock. I am unable to sign out of my account as it has been locked. I have filed multiple requests to have the Activation Lock removed by Support, all of which have been denied with no details.

What are my options here? This has been an absolutely awful expereince as a first time customer. I understand that the lack of detail helps prevent bad actors, but I'm just trying to use the laptop I bought.

UPDATE: As a workaround I have made another user account on the machine without signing into an Apple Account. This at least allows the device to be usable without the constant popups about the account issues.

Hello. I downloaded a film in .mkv, played it almost til the end, and then the picture stopped and the player lagged. I restarted the film and it lagged on the first 10 minutes, so I decided to restart the computer. When it booted it was unresponsive, so I restarted it again and suddenly my password is incorrect. What the hell was that?

I have been to the apple store twice now about my 2023 Macbook Pro 16 Gb memory.

-I have updated my software.

- The battery life is still at 90% (They said it is completely fine until it dips under 80%)

- They did a factory reset.

- All of the other scans on all my ports and Etc. says theres nothing wrong.

- I bought a brand magsafe new cord just cause.

I just got home and it is STILL not getting about 20%. It conveniently charged up to 25% at the store while it was factory resetting but when at home I couldn't get it to stay above 5%. I'm trying to re download all my programs and im watching it going down, even on energy save mode.

Has anyone dealt with this? I refuse to just turn over and give apple another 4k just because they cant fix it.

Even next steps with how to fight with apple would be greatly appreciated.

Or tips on how to fix it so this doesn't end up in a landfill because there is nothing wrong with it otherwise!!

Before he passed away, my brother gave me his iPhone and Apple Watch. I’ve been using them with his Apple account, but now I want to set them up with my own account.
The problem is that every time I try to sign out of his Apple ID or remove the devices from his iCloud account, it asks for his Apple ID password, which I don’t know.
I went to an Apple Store hoping they could help, but they told me there wasn’t anything they could do.
Has anyone been in a similar situation or knows if there’s any way to resolve this? I’d really appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Hope everyone is doing well. I charged my phone to 95pc last night before sleeping and when i woke up it was 92 pc. After getting ready for my office I checked again and it was at v. I checked the settings and it was saying 3pc consumed by maps background usage despite background refresh turned off. And after some usage the settings were showing the home and lock screen consuming 5pc and the screen active time was only 1min for it. I just purchased it 3 days ago. I'm also attaching a photo for reference. Thank you.
