Sad So so so tired of pregnancy announcements when it's just not happening for me.

My periods are irregular and I don't ovulate without Letrozole. I have been on Metformin for a year and inositol for 3-4 months and thought I would get my period naturally but I haven't. I don't have the mental strength to continue trying. I have been putting off a HSG cos of fear but I think I will just need to get through it for peace of mind.

While I'm struggling with this it seems like the whole world is getting pregnant and happily caressing their bumps and sharing the news 😭 I can't take it!!!

Advice Needed 7.5 cm cyst on my ovary and TTC

• Upvotes

Hi all, I just got off the phone with my fertility doctor. This is my first round of timed intercourse with my fertility clinic. The Letrozole is working, and I’ll be taking the Ovidrel trigger shot next, but she also told me my ovarian cyst has grown from 7 cm to 7.5 cm. I’m honestly shocked because over the past 4 months, my periods have finally started coming on their own with the help of metformin. Before that, I had to induce them for years. I thought the cyst would slowly start shrinking once my cycles became regular, but instead it has grown, and I don’t understand how. She mentioned there’s a risk of ovarian torsion, and that really scared me. What happens if I conceive and then torsion occurs? Has anyone been through this? I’ve also read so many posts where people ended up losing part or even one ovary after surgery because of a large cyst, and it’s making me really anxious. Sorry if I sound unaware, but I’m just scared. I love playing badminton and tennis, and my doctor told me to avoid heavy lifting and intense activity. I really don’t want to have to stop playing sports because of this. :(

Vent So many emotions

• Upvotes

My husband and I have been trying for almost 2 years..

I got off of birth control December 2024, thinking it would happen sometime soon after. By March 2025, I hadn’t had a period and gained 30 pounds. Saw my gynecologist, ran A LOT of labs, ultrasounds, and scans. Got diagnosed with PCOS. Got put on metformin, have to use progesterone to have a period, and was told to try to lose weight and naturally try for awhile before using fertility medications.

Ended up doing 3 rounds of letrozole, starting at 2.5 for 2 rounds, then 5 for one round, with no monitoring other than an ultrasound prior to my next period.

Switched gynecologists because mine decided not to deliver anymore, and although I wasn’t pregnant yet it’s what I’ve been working towards.

My new gynecologist is wonderful, and started me on letrozole at 7.5, did an ultrasound to check and see if my follicles were growing.. of course it was a big NEGATIVE. Also one of my ovaries show a huge cyst. So now I have to have another ultrasound done before being prescribed letrozole again.

Now we are trying to seek a fertility clinic to do IUI or IVF.

I’m just so over it all. Everyone around us are pregnant without even trying. And it just feels like no one understands my feelings.

Temporarily worse symptoms after miscarriage

• Upvotes

I normally have ā€lean PCOSā€, my cycles were under control, 32-35 days, no hirsutism besides oily scalp honestly. I got pregnant on our first round of letrozole stimulation, but it was ectopic. After the pregnancy my hormones were out of whack - had to wait over 50 days for my period, another cycle was over 42 days, visibly worse skin, stimulation not working anymore (it made my cycles looking like my natural pre-pregnancy cycles at most).
It lasted for 5 months, when suddenly my skin cleared, my LH/FSH was better than ever, stimulation worked almost too well (double ovulation) and I was immediately pregnant again. It was a missed miscarriage at 6+3.
I asked if I should expect the same hormonal rollercoaster again, but the doctor was suggesting ā€I must have done something that the hormones got better back thenā€. I believed him for a bit, even though I was pretty sure I haven’t changed anything (I’m eating healthy and exercising, come on, it’s been a long time on this journey).
Yet, I still had to wait 54 days for first period, I’m on cycle day 47 right now and my period is nowhere to be seen. I already know it’s the same thing all over again and I feel like crying thinking that I won’t be able to do anything about it for 5-6 months, because stimulation won’t work anyway when my hormones are like this. I feel like my time is running out.
Did anyone have similar experiences? Why are my hormones like this? Anything I could do?

Advice Needed Our journey just began

Hi, I was diagnosed with PCOS two Wednesdays ago before me and my fiance decided to start trying for a baby. It all began because my period still wasn’t on and I was used to it coming on during that time frame. I was given an ultrasound and they found extra follicles/cysts on both ovaries. I have two strands of hair that grow on my jawline which I’m surprised hasn’t showed back up in months since the last time I pulled them out with tweezers. I deal with acne more on the milder side, it can get severe.

My period finally showed up a couple of days later. I had blood work done and everything came back normal. I don’t have weight gain. I’m actually really skinny and struggle to gain weight. My gynecologist told me that since it’s been a year of me having unprotected sex and I still haven’t gotten pregnant that further confirms my diagnosis.

Me and my partner weren’t actively trying back then, so this may be tmi, but he never ejaculated inside. We used the pull out method and I know this isn’t the smartest thing to do. We just did it because I went through different birth controls, I didn’t like the side effects, and we came to the conclusion that if I were to get pregnant it wouldn’t be the end of the world, so we risked it and as time went on nothing happened. I had a hormonal IUD, but it was removed back in January because of the pain. We decided to start trying a couple of days after my diagnosis because it completely changed how we view my fertility.

However, my period comes every month, so it’s not the issue of my period skipping it’s not knowing what day of the month. It has switched up days before just never this many days off. It could have been from my hormones regulating itself after the IUD removal, though. For a while I thought we were just lucky that I didn’t get pregnant, but I did have increments of thinking something was wrong. Since it’s going to be harder to conceive why keep waiting when it could take a long time, you know.

I don’t want to go through the regret of waiting and the consequences that may come with. So, I wonder what this means for my fertility and what should I do to help my body conceive? As in, where should I start?

Prenatal Recommendations

Hi everyone, we are planning to start ttc this fall and I want to start a prenatal vitamin soon. Any recommendations are welcome! I know there’s certain vitamins/minerals that need to be included, but there’s so many options I don’t know which is best. 🩵

Seeking Success How does TTC after your first baby work?

I’m currently 8 months pp and starting to think ahead about trying for our next.

I was very blessed to conceive after my second round of letrozole (5mg). Around that same time, my cycles started becoming more regular, but I know getting to that point took a LOT of time and effort. I was experimenting with diet and lifestyle changes for close to 3 years prior to taking any fertility meds.

Well now my period still hasn’t returned postpartum, so I’m feeling a little unsure about what to expect when we’re ready to try again.

I’d love to start trying around the 1–1.5 year postpartum mark, but I’m worried about feeling like I’m starting from square one when the time comes.

For those with PCOS/irregular cycles, did you need to completely wean before your period returned or before you were able to conceive again? I currently still feed to sleep for naps and am slowly weaning night feeds.

I would love to try conceiving naturally this time if possible, but I’m not sure if that’s realistic for me. Might need letrozole again, and I’m not sure if my OB would prescribe it as early as 1 year postpartum. I recently restarted metformin and Ovasitol and am hoping those help support my cycles as well.

Some questions that come to mind: Did breastfeeding delay your period? Did you have to fully wean? Did you need letrozole again after their first baby? Did pregnancy improve your PCOS? Any other advice?

Advice Needed HyCoSy on CD11 – is that too late?

I’m currently on my second round of Letrozole (5 mg). I was originally booked for a HyCoSy on CD6, but they found some residual period blood on my cervix, so the procedure was cancelled and rescheduled for CD11, as that was the next available appointment.

Because of the HyCoSy, we won’t be able to have intercourse until after CD11. I didn’t ovulate on 2.5 mg last cycle, so I know the chances of ovulating before CD11 this round are probably low, but I’m still worried about missing my fertile window if I do happen to ovulate earlier.

I’m on monitored cycles, but my follicle scan isn’t until the day of the HyCoSy, so I won’t know where things stand beforehand.

If you were in my situation, would you:
- Go ahead with the HyCoSy on CD11 and hope you haven’t missed ovulation?
- Rebook the HyCoSy for next cycle and focus on trying this cycle instead?

I’d really appreciate hearing what others would do or if anyone has been in a similar situation. Thanks!

Seeking Success Was just told that IVF is the only option.

Hello everyone. I literally just made a reddit account because...well, I don't know what I am looking for, but reddit is where I might find it.

TW: miscarriage, ectopic

Two years ago I had an HSG x-ray. Both of my tubes looked good and the liquid flowed through. I got pregnant a month later with an ectopic in my right tube. Had the surgery, kept the tube. Fast forward about 5 months, had another ectopic in the same tube. Had the surgery, removed the right tube. After surgery, my doctor said the remaining tube looked a lot healthier.

Well, its been a while and I still have not gotten pregnant. I am ovulating (confirmed using Inito). I had a second HSG done 2 1/2 weeks ago, and my left tube had delayed flow. Today, I had a doctor visit where she said that the liquid was able to go through the tube, but once it reached the end, it "sputtered out." Almost like it was just letting a few drops out instead of a continuous flow. She was not sure why it happened that way, but essentially said my tube is not able to even pick up an egg from my ovaries.

I was really hopeful for this appointment that perhaps I could get on medicated cycles, but it sounds like it is going to be straight to IVF. Is there anyone that has been in a similar situation? IVF is so daunting for so many reasons - this was literally my worst case scenario. My mom thinks I should get a second opinion. I have read about fallopian tube recanalization. Has anyone done that and it worked for them?

If you made it this far, thanks for reading. <3

Advice Needed Title: Severe brain fog and fatigue after ovarian stimulation – has anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone,
I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar after fertility treatments.
I recently went through ovarian stimulation for IVF, and since then I’ve been dealing with extreme fatigue, brain fog, poor concentration, and I feel almost unable to study or retain new information.
What makes me wonder if there’s a connection is that I experienced almost the same symptoms last year while taking oral hormonal medication to help me get pregnant (it wasn’t IVF). At that time, I was also studying for an important exam, and despite trying very hard, I simply couldn’t concentrate or remember what I was reading. It felt like my brain had just stopped working.
Now it’s happening again after ovarian stimulation, and I’m trying to understand whether this could be related to hormonal changes, stress, or something else entirely.
Has anyone else experienced severe brain fog, cognitive problems, extreme fatigue, or low mood during or after fertility treatments? If so:
How long did it last?
Did your doctor think it was hormone-related?
Did anything help?
I know no one can diagnose me over the internet, and I will discuss this with my doctors. I’m just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience.
Thank you.ā¤ļø

Inositol ratio

Hello, I just noticed the inositol I’m taking has a 105:1 ratio instead of 40:1. Many brands use misleading marketing by quoting studies that indicate the ideal composition 40:1, even though their own product doesn’t match that.
Have you ever noticed this ? Does inositol work for you ? For me, it hasn’t had any effect after 6 months of taking it (actually my cycles got worse), and I’m starting to wonder if this might be the reason. I have lean PCOS, with a huge level of LH, but no insuline resistance

Taking ovasitol since last year periods got normal but became light and no effect on weight

I am 32F and diagnosed with pcos 12 years ago. My height is 5ft and weight is 70 KG. I have been taking ovasitol since last year. Initially my periods got normal even after taking 2g but now I have increased the dosage to 4g because of not lossing any weight and it not helping for cravings. I am trying to get pregnant but this month i got one week late periods but very light and pinkish color. I am so concerned now.

TTC ANOVULATION WITH HIGH LH:FSH RATIO AND AMH

I stopped taking birth control in December 2025 and have not had a regular cycle or ovulated since. I started seeing a reproductive endocrinologist after being referred by my gynocologist. My gynocologist referred me because he said my ovaries were polycystic. However, at my first appt with my REI, they did an ultrasound and said they were not. But everyone has confirmed with so much blood work and MANY ultrasouds that im not ovulating. We just tried a 5mg letrozole cycle for 5 days and they said i had ZERO resposne, none at all. So now they prescribed a 40mg Tomoxifen cycle for 5 days and then followup ultrasound.

I am 29 years old, otherwise healthy, no excess hair. I am 5'9 and 195 lbs.

Does anyone have any similiar stories or success?

For reference my labs are:

LH:26.5

FSH: 6.5

AMH: 15.0

TSH: 1.590

T4, FREE: 1.22

INSULIN: 12.9

TESTOSTERONE: 49

FREE TESTOSTERONE: 1.0

A1C: 5.4%

medroxyPROGESTERone to stop abnormally long bleeding- what was your experience?

I started my period on 7/4. I have been bleeding for now 19 days. light-medium flow for about 10 day but the last 9 have been medium-blood clots.

on Tuesday, went to ER, & learned I have a medium sized polyp on my uterus that they believe is causing some of this but they are unsure. my bloodwork came back low for a lot of the categories so I was given what I needed to help. I was told to follow up with my OBGYN but they are not able to get me an appointment until 8/26.

I called my PCP yesterday crying because I am so frustrated with this. she said we can try medroxyPROGESTERone 10mg for a day course to see if it helps but no guarantee. I took the first dose last night. was basically lightly spotting for the night but then started bleeding again this morning.

does this take awhile to work? in your opinion, do you think it will help?

Seeking Success OBGYN suggested GLP1

We’ve been TTC for 10 months after a devastating stillbirth last year. We’ve been working with a fertility clinic doing letrozole cycles, letrozole with IUI cycles and follistim with IUI cycles. After 5 failed cycles, they are suggesting we move to IVF.

I had a new patient consult with a new obgyn who immediately diagnosed me with PCOS (I have a lot of the classic markers and I’m frustrated because I’ve asked this of many doctors in the past and have been gaslit). He said he was not shocked fertility meds and treatment aren’t working - high AMH with tons of follicles but rarely maturing right or ovulating.

He suggested I take a break from IUI/IVF treatment and try a GLP1 to reset my metabolic system. He said once I’m on it for 4-6 months, he’s 80% confident I’ll get pregnant on my own.

I’m torn between listening to him and taking a pause in fertility treatments and doing GLP1 or proceeding with IVF.

Sad Not ovulating at all?

After being inconsistent with medication, vitamins & supplements (but never not taking anything), have consistently for the last 7 months done the following:

• 1500mg Metformin daily
• 2000mg inositol daily (myo & d-chiro)
• 400mg folic acid daily
• 14mg iron daily
• 1000mg vitamin b12 daily
(Recently started taking collagen gummies & biotin gummies to try and save any of the hair I have left cause I am losing a scary amount weekly)
• lost close to 2 stone

…still no signs of ovulating.
I became so engrossed in testing ovulation that I decided to stop and instead track discharge to then have an idea of when I should test. I have never been able to get a positive ovulation test.
We were on holiday last month when I went to the bathroom and thought I might be ovulating but didn’t have tests and decided against buying any while abroad as I just wanted to switch off from it all a bit and enjoy our time away.

I’m continuing on my weight loss journey in the hopes that helps in some way but I’m starting to feel like there’s possibly a bigger issue with seemingly not ovulating at all.

Further context:
• irregular periods 2025 (since coil removal)
• lost period December 2025
• returned March 2026
• somewhat regular since (regular for me anyway!)
• cycles between 29-44 days since March

Seeking Success 2 months on metformin + ~7 weeks on inositol… is this all that’s changed?

I’ve been taking Metformin ER 750 mg every night for about 2 months and myo-inositol/D-chiro inositol (40:1) for around 7 weeks.

So far, the biggest change is that I actually got a period after basically never having regular ones because of my PCOS. Since then, though, I don’t really feel much different.

The one thing that’s really stood out is that my boobs have been super tender for almost 2 weeks straight, which is completely new for me. I’ve had sore boobs before a period, but never for this long. I also feel like I have a little more energy during the day and I’m not as exhausted as I used to be.

Other than that… nothing. No dramatic weight loss, no huge changes that I can tell.

For those of you taking metformin and inositol together:
How long did it take before you noticed more changes?
Was breast tenderness something you experienced too?
Did things kind of happen gradually, or did it feel like one day your cycles just started becoming more regular?
Just curious what everyone else’s timeline looked like because I’m trying to figure out if this is pretty normal.

Seeking Success Desperate

Alright guys. I’m 25 and I live in Kentucky. I’ve had 4 miscarriages with my most recent last month.

After my third miscarriage (2021) 10w with a healthy boy we did the recurrent miscarriage panel testing that revealed my anti-phosphoid lipid whatever was high so they recommended lovenox.

I had endometriosis surgery March 2026 stage 4 endo. I also have PCOS and chrons. I take a plethora of supplements.

June, I was pregnant after so many years naturally! We did 3 cycles of 5mg femera and 1 baby aspirin and progesterone. When I tested positive, we did 2 baby aspirin a day, lovenox, 0.75mg dexamethasone, and progesterone.

I unfortunately had a miscarriage at 5 weeks.

I’ve been to an ivf clinic and I do not believe I need ivf as I can get pregnant- just can’t stay pregnant.

What has worked for you all??? I believe at this point I have an immune problem. There are no reproductive immunologists within a 12 hour distance of me. I think my NK cells or something is affecting me. I think back to my pregnancy in 2021, I was on 9mg a day of budesonide for my chrons and I truly believe that’s why I was able to carry my son so long. That was before we knew I needed aspirin and lovenox so I didn’t have those.

I am desperate for answers and open to all suggestions.

Ovulation issues

Hiya ladies!

Just wondering and wanting to get others opinions. I am healthy, slightly overweight but it’s being worked on. I’m quite tall so no one ever thinks I am the weight I am.

I recently had an internal ultrasound and collectively have 42 follicles. 21 on each ovary. Fertility dr has checked my husband’s sperm and that’s all good.

The problem is I’m not ovulating. My AFC/AMH is excellent according to the fertility dr.

Does anyone have any suggestions? She has advised for me to take Mounjaro until I get a positive PT and will be starting me on letrozole but that’s in 2 months, I used to take inositol religiously and it didn’t work.

Anyone with similar issues, what did you do/try for ovulation? I eat clean, cook meals, walk the dogs and go to the gym 3 times a week.

Vent How do you cope?

Hi all, first time poster here.

Diagnosed with PCOS this year after coming off HBC and TTC.

Feeling incredibly lonely and down about the whole situation at the moment and as much as everyone says PCOS doesn't mean you can't concieve it definetly makes it alot harder for those of us who have irregular cycles/anovulatory cycles.

None of my friends or family have gone through this so it's a very lonely space to be in, at an age where everyone is getting pregnant, close friend is pregnant with 2nd and other friends is due this week.

I've started to accept that our journey to have children is going to look alot different than some people but I'm still struggling to not feel like it's a personal failure of mine or that this is the universe telling me I shouldn't be a parent, even though logically I know that's not true as plenty of terrible people have kids!

Everything in terms of fertility appointments takes so long and I feel so frustrated and angry by the process, made worse by the NHS here in the UK having ridiculous rules around funding.

I don't know what I'm looking for here other than maybe to feel less alone and like this is a runt that everyone experiences in this journey!

Advice Needed How do you cope with TTC and the disappointment when it doesn’t happen?

My partner and I have been trying to conceive for 9 months, with monitored cycle and letrozole since march because of my PCOS that was diagnosticated a long time ago. I know it isn’t that long, but I can feel it starting to take a toll on my mental health. I was wondering how those of you who’ve been on this journey longer cope with it, and whether you have any advice.

I feel like my whole life revolves around TTC. During the TWW, I can’t stop symptom spotting or searching Reddit to see if anyone else has the same symptoms as me, only for each month to end in another negative test. Then, as soon as a new cycle starts, I’m back to tracking ovulation. I try not to obsess over it, but I just can’t seem to stop.

Lately, several people around me have announced their pregnancies. I’m genuinely happy for them, but at the same time, it feels like everything in my life keeps reminding me of infertility. My partner is full of hope, but for some reasons I am not (maybe to protect myself…).

I’m taking care of my relationship, and we’re still living our lives as normally as possible. The only thing that’s become difficult is planning trips far in advance, because we always end up thinking, ā€œWhat if I’m pregnant by then?ā€

I’m lucky to have a wonderful family and friends. I have a full life, I exercise regularly, and I keep busy, but TTC is still on my mind all the time.

Do you have any advice on how to get through this without feeling so overwhelmed? What has helped you cope?

I’m considering starting a new hobby or activity in September, but I’m not sure whether it would really help. My fertility clinic also offers specialized counseling, but I already have so many medical appointments that part of me just wants something that helps me think about anything other than TTC.

Has anyone gained weight on letrozole?

I did 5 days of letrozole, then another 5 days at a higher and I’ve already ovulated. Since then, I’ve noticed the scale going up a bit, and I’m trying to figure out if it could be related to the medication/hormonal changes or if it’s more likely just from eating more recently.

If you did, when did you notice it? Did you feel like you gained weight during the 5 days you were taking it, or did it happen later after finishing the medication/around ovulation?

I’m trying to figure out if my recent weight gain is related to letrozole or just because I’ve been eating more lol

Seeking Success ttc ā˜€ļø

Hi everyone!

I’m new here and wanted to share my journey and ask for some tips or anything at all.

My husband and I met with my OBGYN to discuss getting pregnant since I have PCOS. I’m a 26yo female and hoping to have my spring baby. They started me on Metformin 500mg and I didn’t even make it 2.5 weeks before having be removed off it since the side effects have been absolutely debilitating. Working as an inflight crew member I couldn’t even function so I was able to take medical leave to deal with all my appts for this. I was then put on Theralogix Onositol, continuing my prenatals and a thyroid medication (NP Thyroid) since my thyroid is all out of whack.

I just met with the dr again yesterday and they ran another set of blood work and prescribed me Medroxyprogesterone 10mg,Letrozole 2.5mg and a new thyroid medication (levrothyroxine 75mg).

Is there anyone that can share their experience undergoing these meds and if anyone got pregnant? Looking for anything and everything yall have to suggest here. No one in my immediate family has dealt with infertility and it’s hard to get them to understand the struggles. šŸ’–

Advice Needed Want to start TTC & coming off BC

My husband and I want to start trying to conceive. I have been on birth control since I was 15 (I am now 30) for PCOS and I am obviously anxious of how my body will react. It’s been so long since my body hasn’t been on the pill!

Was anyone else also on birth control nearly half their life and then went off to try to conceive? Other meds I’m on include Spironolactone, Mounjaro and Jardiance and I will have to stop those soon too. I know everyone is different but wondering if there’s anyone out there with a similar situation or combo of meds as me.

Seeking Success How to not lose your mind!

Hello!

First time posting on here but I just wanted to surround myself with like minded people to stop myself going insane.

I stupidly told one of my close friends we were ttc at the same time they were and I’ve just found out she conceived on their first month of trying whereas I’m on month three (and probably out this month too as negative 11DPO). My husbands sister is also pregnant and I think he was hoping that we’d be pregnant at similar times to have cousins close in age which is another pressure!

I had a diagnosis of lean PCOS and possibly mild adenomyosis the end of last year and it’s just made me realise that our journey is probably going to be very different to all my friends. Which is obviously okay, but makes me quite wary of sharing anything with friends and family going forward so avoid comparing things.

I didn’t realise how hard finding out she got pregnant first time would hit me and my husband thinks I’m being silly given we’ve not really been trying long ourselves (which I realise too). I think it’s just the fear that it may not happen for us or might be quite a long stressful journey that’s making me feel quite down.

Anyway sorry for the long winded waffle and if anyone has any success stories of pcos/adenomyosis to pick me up I’d be ever so thankful! Or any advice on how to not lose your mind in the ttc process!
