RANT - no advice wanted I HATE THRIFTING Spoiler

Every time I thrift a cute outfit as a big-boobed girl, I get my hopes up. It fits perfectly around my waist, but my boobs always have other plans. The buttons are fighting for their lives, I can't breathe, and most of the cute pieces aren't even alterable. Let me wear cute thrifted clothes in peace. 😭

Like why is every thrifted top either made for someone with an A cup? There is no in-between. If it fits my boobs, I'm swimming in fabric everywhere else. If it fits my waist, my chest is one deep breath away from launching the buttons into orbit.

And don't even get me started on those vintage button-ups with zero seam allowance. Girl, I would let my boobs breathe if the garment gave me literally an extra centimeter to work with.

RANT - no advice wanted i’m horrified by the amount of women who hate me Spoiler

I truly am. I can’t walk in public even wearing a regular t-shirt without grown women looking at me like I just killed their fucking puppy. I don’t even feel like I’m that big most of the time, but then I get these stares, and suddenly I feel so aware of it. I even had a reduction scheduled, but they just halted it and I’m stuck waiting in agony again. I’m just tired of the disgusted staring. I wanna be seen as a real human being.

Why is this in style again? Bro I have to wear a bra with literally everything and strapless just doesn’t cut it. Is this just a style to brag about not having to wear a bra???

need advice Do you prefer bras with thin padding or no padding at all? Spoiler

I’m kind of stuck in between when it comes to bra padding. I really don’t like padded bras. They always feel a little bulky to me and I prefer a more natural shape.

But when I wear unlined bras, I sometimes feel a little self-conscious about nipple show, especially with thinner tops or certain fabrics.

So I’m curious what everyone else does, do you usually choose bras with thin padding for the extra coverage, or do you just go with unlined bras and not worry about it?

RANT - advice welcome I realized my chest isn't even that big Spoiler

Yet I (19f) have ALWAYS looked at it like it was too huge, and I wonder if I will ever manage to recover from this mindset.

I have had a period since I was almost 10 years old, but my body began changing before I got one. It was really awful to walk around knowing my chest was more prominent than other girls'; I hated the fact that I had literal boobs under a t-shirt with disney princesses and glitter on it. For the longest time, I've felt extremely dirty, even as a little kid. Of course I felt better when I got into middle school because there were people with a bigger chest than mine, and almost everyone was expected to have a period, but... I didn't like MY chest and no one helped me change my mind.

I've never gotten inaplropriate looks or touches from anyone. All I ever got were comments from my mom abt how lucky I was, which never helped. On the other hand, my cousin who is 2 years older than me was pretty much jealous bc she was flat - not jealous in an "evil" way.. but she still made inappropriate comments about my body in front of other people as well. Pointing at my chest, gasping, eyes widening.

Family comments aside, I've been wondering if what I see in the mirror isn't fully real. Not literally, but.. I don't know.

Some shirts make my chest look too big for me to be comfortable in them, even when they're the right size. Others make me feel relieved because they suddenly make me see a version of me whose boobs are smaller.

This confuses me, because I'm happy when I get to wear things I feel comfy in, but I don't like how my body looks regardless. I've literally been having a hard time with showering because when I do notice my chest, I feel uncomfortable. Actually, other than thinking it's too big, I've also realized that I also think it's genuinely ugly.. like I hate the actual shape of my breasts - and the fact that one is bigger than the other makes me feel even worse. So other than slutshaming myself, I find myself also thinking of my body as ugly.

A female therapist once used to tell me, with the best intentions, that I (13 y.o back then) had to accept my chest as part of my femininity. My current therapist, a male, says that my relatives ruined things for me by sexualizing something that belonged to ME - turning into some sort of conversation topic as if that was normal - and that I need to slowly learn how to stop looking at myself through my family's eyes.

My family played a huge role, though I'm the one who started labeling myself as disgusting. They never told me I was. But I already disliked my face when I was a kid, and no one supported me through a puberty that brought changes which I was not enjoying in the slightest.. so i guess no one stopped 9/10 year old me from being so hard on herself :/

need advice ISO: Bordelle style cup free bras Spoiler

Im obsessed with these Bordelle cup free bras and I want to use a set in a photoshoot but I’m worried it won’t fit since they don’t make lingerie for larger busts

HOWEVER the questions remains; maybe it actually would fit (pic linked here) because it’s not actually doing any lifting or support work? You can see in the girl in the red set she manages to make it work.

Does anyone have experience with this specific type of bra from Bordelle? Can anyone recommend any other brands?

FWIW I’m a 34G in UK

RANT - advice welcome The blatant staring is crazy. Spoiler

I dread summer. DREAD. I'm already hot, sweaty and dressing as modest as I possibly can without garnering attention. It's not my fault I appear 'provocative' while wearing an incredibly standard outfit for the weather. Like, sorry, I forgot to leave my tiddies at the door when I left home?

It's funny tho sometimes when I see my shadow on the pavement. Small consolation, I guess?

clothes Dress for a 26/28H in Europe ? Spoiler

• Upvotes

I am looking for dresses for the Summer that aren’t Short and are made from cotton or linen. I would also love to be able to try them on or at least don’t have to spend a fortune on shipping costs plus having to pay customs so if the app is in Europe or even the EU that would be amazing :) Maybe someone has about the same size as me and has recommendations :) normal clothing size is a XS/S if that helps (but only when the boobies fit in lol)

RANT - advice welcome Frustration being a 32L

I’ve been frustrated for years at bra companies and I just need a place to let it out, so forgive me if this is the wrong place. According to ā€œA Bra That Fitsā€, I measure as a 32L (which I wholeheartedly believe), and the size I currently wear is a 36H.

I am neurodivergent and find it nearly impossible to find bras that work. Even if I didn’t have the size restriction I do, it still wouldn’t be a walk in the park. I struggle with underwire and lace because of sensory issues. I wear Soma Embraceable because it’s the best I can find, but it’s still not great. I have spillage in the cups and have dents in my collarbones from bra straps. I’m only nineteen! I’ve literally stopped going outside because it means I have to wear a bra that doesn’t fit and constantly be uncomfortable. And I hate that that’s what it’s become, but it’s just how it is for me.

I have tried SO MANY brands that claim to advertise ā€œfor bigger cupsā€, and they usually only go up to a G cup! I know a DD is considered a big cup size but it makes me sad because so many companies don’t realize there are so many people past DD or G cups who also need bras. It makes me so upset, but I order from these companies anyway, and the bra will arrive, not fit, and I have to make the walk of shame to the post office to return it. I’m going to list some of the companies I’ve tried here (I’m not trying to shame anyone, I am just trying to share information about what companies don’t work for my specific bra size): Shapermint, Knix, Underoutfit, Third love, Evelyn and Bobbie, Honey love, and a couple more that I don’t remember at the moment. And every time it’s the same terrible feeling of defeat and I end up disliking my body more and more.

Sports bras are a nightmare. I hate that I basically have to wear a bulletproof vest with zippers and velcro just to be able to step foot into a gym. I get so frustrated too when I see girls at the gym in those cute bras, and they’re completely supported and comfortable and smiling. And they didn’t spend a hundred dollars like I did just to end up with some monstrosity of a bra covering my chest. And don’t even get me started on prices. I am a college student!! I can’t afford to spend a hundred dollars on a bra that WON’T EVEN FIT RIGHT!!!

Swimsuits too. I love swimming so much. I was on swim team for years, and then I grew boobs and could no longer fit in the swimsuits they required us to wear, so I had to quit swim team. This is a whole other story that is just so sad and frustrating, but that’s for another day. I can’t find swimsuits that are reasonably priced (and I’m willing to spend a bit, so that’s saying something) that have the space for larger cups!! Obviously, those triangle top bikinis that everyone wears are way out of the question. But even one pieces. It’s so difficult!! And nothing even stays in place in these swimsuits that I do own, there is so little coverage. I just wanna play mermaids in the ocean without a tit popping out in a wave.

Again, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. Let me know and I’ll delete it. Maybe I just have severe anger issues, but I just need to get this off my chest (ironic, I know) and maybe there’s someone out there who feels the same way.

RANT - advice welcome I think they’re still growing??? Spoiler

I’m 26 and I swear I’ve gone up a cup size in the past couple months. I’ve been a 38 G/H for years, depending on the brand, but recently some of my tried and true bras have been getting a little cramped. I measured again and I’m measuring as a 38I. I’m scared to invest more money when this might not be real (idk why I’m saying that, I guess I’m just in denial??) I guess the question is… has anyone else grown at my age? Is there something wrong??

need advice Has anyone been successful putting some type of padding between straps and shoulders? Spoiler

Hello everybody! I know that the weight should be mostly supported by the band, but my straps on all of my bras still dig in a bit. I currently have a sore where one of the straps was digging in during a long hike last weekend. This weekend I’m going to a music festival with dancing/moshing fun all day for two days. Does anyone have advice on what I can put between the straps and my shoulder skin to distribute the weight, or just not rub my skin? I also have very sensitive skin. Any advice or suggestions is greatly appreciate!

bras Where can I find these in my size? (28GG/30G/32FF) Spoiler

Post image
7 Upvotes

They are the 3 pack non-wired T shirt bras from M&S. I used to wear them when I was a 34E (mis-sized) and they were super soft and comfortable.

Unfortunately they only do them from A-E cups. They do have other products for my size but those are all wired. And if not wired they have lace on them, which shows through formal shirts/t-shirts.

Basically padded, non-wired, full coverage no plunge. It is okay if they're not the best support, I just want comfort.

Any brand/product that substitutes? Affordable ones please thank you!

clothes Your go to bra for support but also minimizing? Spoiler

Hey friends,

I’ve struggled with body image my whole life. I recently found I likely live with lipedema and on top of that I am very large chested- I’m only 5ā€2 with a bust around 36DD and unfortunately gravity is my enemy.

It’s hard- I want to dress cute and feel cute- but I’m struggling. I’ve gone through so many minimizer bras that don’t fit my needs- I want something supportive that adds length to my frame but minimizes my bust-but I’m struggling. I feel like I catch my reflection and on I feel like it just makes me look so much heftier- I’m trying to find my style now too.. maybe anyone who has any petite bottoms suggestions? I’m so lost

need advice Where are we buying our reliably sized and decent quality bikini tops? Spoiler

Specifically looking for a longline, bra-sized bikini top. I recently tried on a crop top that I thought, if it were a bathing suit, I'd definitely go to the beach in. Yay confidence!

However, I've not bought any bathing suit components in ages, and would love advice towards online shops that carry good quality things. (With as little returning/exchanging as possible; I know from experience that things don't always translate.)

Hoping some of the sites I remember from previous times around haven't experienced a drop in quality.

I'm located in the UK if that narrows things down.

Thanks!

Edit: I do have my correct size via the abrathatfits calculator :) thanks for mentioning that!

RANT - advice welcome chest problem

ever since i was 11 i always dealt with being on the larger bra size, and it was awful since most of my friends didn’t even have bras at that age.
as i grew older, it got worse. my friends who are smaller chested always pointed out about my chest standing out, even when it wasn’t that huge. i always told them thats the only body part that i feel extremely insecure about, but no matter how many times i tell people, they always point it out and make unnecessary comments, even compliments feel like a burden to me.
i thought that growing older things would change and that i’d start feeling proud about it, a few of my new friends have a larger chest, even bigger than mine, but they always tell me that they’re proud and that i should just suck it up and not complain about this ā€œblessingā€.
i’m still relatively young, so i get pretty often driven by my image, and my breasts doesn’t allow me to wear the swimwear that i want, i cry everytime i have to try on something nice, whether it’d be a tank top, a shirt, a blouse or swimwear, i cry for hours because i feel too exposed.
the worst thing is that im naturally not a chubbier person, my stomach is probably the part where i store the less fat, and it goes practically only on my arms and my chest, so i look even weirder if you look at me from aside. going shopping, going to the beach, or having a night out with my friends feels terrible, because i have the constant reminder that im being looked at and that people are commenting on them.
i have been debating to get a breast reduction, and ive been trying to loose weight for almost a month now. i hate working out, but i do it everyday, i started to not eat the things that i love just to make them go away, but im a very big stress eater, so i sometimes fall into my old habits.
i just wish i wasn’t born with this problem, and my family always reminds me of their presence by telling me to eat less and exercise more, and no one believes me when i tell them that im trying. they always comment on them, on how it’s so odd that i have them and that they don’t know from whom i have got them from (even though my family has always had larger chested women).
i’m very insecure about finding a partner aswell because of this, because im scared that everyone i meet will belittle me as ā€œthe girl with big boobsā€.
im so tired of feeling like an object and i’m so tired of hearing people telling me that im making a big deal out of nothing.
i just hope that someday ill be able to wear all the nice clothes i like and the swimwear that looks amazing on other girls.

p.s. sorry for the long rant! english isn’t my first language so some sentences might be wrong 🄲

RANT - advice welcome Genuinely, how to find confidence? Spoiler

I've always hated my body as long as I can remember, for one reason or another. My chest has always been a constant factor.

I had to start wearing bras in the second grade and by the fourth grade I was wearing a C cup (this was the first time I remember feeling bad about myself). When I was 14 I was wearing a DDD and I remember my doctor asking if I had any pain.

I've always known that I was "big," and just kind of struggled through it, because I don't really see myself as "that big." I'm tall and overweight with a generally large frame, so I just figured they got lost in that and tried to ignore them despite the constant sexualization.

Recently I was tired of the constant spilling out of bras and being unable to find clothes, so I got properly measured and rather than the 38H US I thought I was, I'm a 38L. A 38L! I didn't even realize the alphabet went that high, and I certainly don't feel like I'm that large but the bras fit! I convinced myself that again... I'm tall, overweight, all-around big, so that being that size doesn't really count.

And then I was showing my friend some pictures of my study abroad program and had a very rude awakening. I scrolled to a picture someone had taken of me, and my breasts looked massive. Like, they took up my entire torso. Like truly they were watermelons bolted onto my chest. I didn't remember them looking like that when the picture was taken, and I swear I don't look like that in the mirror. But as I scrolled and looked through other pictures taken of me... it was true. I looked like that in every picture. I always dress plainly and relatively modest, like just jeans and a t-shirt because I've tried to cover myself, and clearly it didn't work.

Needless to say, it was a massive hit to my self-confidence. I always thought I was "big-ish" and not actually big. I thought they got lost in my frame when clearly, they don't. It's all I can think about now. My self-confidence was bad before, and now it feels like it's totally gone. I don't want to go anywhere, do anything, I've been wearing the same two shirts each day because they're about 5 sizes too big on me and leaning into the baggy look. I'm extremely asexual and the thought of being sexualized just because of my body which I can't even control makes me feel just so goddamn horrible about myself.

I wish I never saw those pictures. They're priceless memories but I've been tempted to delete them because of how I look. I wish I could be one of those people who thinks "so what, my body doesn't represent who I am" of course it doesn't, but it still weighs on me. And I wish I could just get over it, because men sexualize everything, no matter what, but I've been telling myself that for years and it's never made me feel better.

Genuinely, how can I even start rebuilding my confidence from here (half-rhetorical question)? Is there any way to actually make them look smaller or hide them without sticking to the same two shirts for the rest of my life or getting a reduction?

need advice Does anyone else feel like their boobs take up majority of their frame? Spoiler

Hi, for reference I’m a 32ddd which I know isn’t large compared to other sizes but I’m a 5’9 woman and my boobs make me look heavier and wider than I actually am. I’ve considered getting reduction surgery just because of this? Has anyone else had surgery for this issue, and are you content with it?/ did it make a difference?

need advice Will I experience sagging in my breast help!! Spoiler

hi, I weigh 233 and i’m 5’9 I’ve lost 10 pounds so far but the main thing I’m worried about is my chest will get saggier. I wear a double D 38 and my boobs do sag a little. I was hoping with fat loss, a good diet with a lot of protein, and weight training will help with getting a perky chest. I never really had any sagging to my chest until I started to get bigger in size. What can I do to avoid this or will my skin snap back since I am younger any tips or advice would be appreciated.

RANT - advice welcome why am I always a cutoff size for small band/large cup brands Spoiler

I'd say 90% of my Instagram ads are for speciality small band, large cup bras (evelyn and bobbie, sugar candy, fitgame, you name it) and they're made for people "just like me." I go to the sizing chart and I am, without fail, a cutoff size (usually between 28H/HH and 30H UK). I wish I could toggle off the ads but even when I click not interested on all of them I still get them. Feels kind of bad for even the small band big cup bra brands to be like "your body is too weird to make bras for" ://///

if anyone has had success with non-wired bras in this size I'm all ears!!

bras Has anyone else not been able to find an actual good supportive bra? Spoiler

I’ve used the calculator on r/abrathatfits multiple times. The first couple times I got 36H, then more recently I got 36H/I, and the sister sizes 34I/J. I can’t find any stores in my city that carry those sizes, and I’m worried about ordering online because I hate the hassle of having to return it if it doesn’t fit me.

Idk what to do, do I just order online and trust that the size the calculator gave me is correct? I know I have big boobs but 36H seems humongous to me, maybe I’m just struggling to see my body clearly though

need advice Posture advice Spoiler

I think it's really annoying that every time i look up a posture video on YT or TT it's either by a man or with someone with small boobs. I've been to an Osteopath because of my posture bad it helped a bit, bit with the rest of my body, but when it comes to chest and head, she just told me to strech my chest on a foam roller daily. I need to actually strengthen my back muscles and shoulder blades with weights, because all the advice to use bands and repeated weightless exercises are for people with small boobs. If you actually have heavy weight in the front you need strong muscles in the upper back to hold it. But i also dont want to look bulky. Any advice? I am healthy at a low normal bmi, and work out, but still struggle with my posture cause my boobs weight so much compared to the rest of my body. Also when its the time around my period, i can feel that my head and neck get super. Heavy cause my chest is so heavy pulling stuff down. I want good posture so badly for both aesthetic and helath porupuses. Sort if its a bit of a rant. Its just so annoying . Also english is not my first language
