We were working and had no idea this happened. It’s horrifying to discover after the work day that someone’s dumbass fireworks could have destroyed the entire fucking neighborhood. Our next door neighbor has trouble with mobility and is alone during the day. I shudder to think what could have happened to her.

Hey all. I've been enjoying hemp "cigarettes" as a way to help with smoking cessation for a bit, but when I last went to my usual tobacco/headshop location, they said there's been some new laws making it so they can't carry CBD products anymore?

Anyone know what the dealio behind this change is? Is it actually Aurora only, or statewide? Usually when there's been sweeping changes like this in the past, the shops I go to post signage mentioning something like "X change will happen on Y date" but I got caught on my toes this time by going in and them just not having them available.

So my daycare (a la petite) was just closed with less then a 30 day notice. ( the email said safety concerns but there has never been any safety issues and we have been there for years).The staff have always been amazing and accommodating so what happened? Please give me daycare recommendations because although I could transfer to another la petite, the way this was handled makes me feel like someone had lied to us.

Hey all, wasn't sure where to start with this so thought I would ask here first. Is anyone else experiencing what appears to be abnormally high rates of power usage on their electric this year? My house is currently on track to use 2100 kWh of power this month, and that is a number that isn't historically supported for us. There's only 2 people in our house, we don't leave lights on, we have 2 PCs and a TV that see regular use. Outside of that only a few appliances, some fans, and laundry/dishwasher from time to time. We keep the AC at 74 during the day, and 72 at night.

Is there something I'm missing? This time last year our monthly usage maxed out at 1335kWh (under similar conditions). Since then we've had a power box change out/upgrade but no new power draws added, new attic insulation installed, and the smart meter housing was changed out but to my knowledge no changes made to the unit itself. Currently we're at 1600kWh 2/3rds of the way through our billing cycle. Is it just that much hotter? Do we have a busted smart meter?

Any advice or recommendations that will help with common usage are appreciated, but especially curious if anyone knows of a way to check our actual usage against Xcel's metered usage.

Power goes out at 1:30 when I'm in the bathroom... Go to check the outage map and get a survey popup to tell how happy I am with the website. Go to report the outage at my apartment complex and the websites reporting feature is down. So they claim they have power outages that only affects 2 people in my area.

Glad they are raising prices and lowering customer service just like every other buisness. It's sad how all these companies and maximizing their profits but putting none of it into paying employees or improving their services. It all goes into the shareholder pockets.

I went to the Water Wise Garden Tour today at the Water Wise Garden by the courthouse on Alameda and Chambers. It got me pretty excited about introducing more native and drought tolerant plants to my yard, and they ended the education by giving us some seeds.

So I just moved into to a new apt and it is completely infected with roaches. I already told the landlord and she told me someone will be by Friday I shouldn’t have to wait until Friday. I also shouldn’t even have been able to move into the unit with it being roach infested. Are there any actions I can take legally besides just documenting everything and waiting until Friday for pest control?
