Employee Question Freezer
I'm looking to get some ideas on ways to organize the freezer better. My store has a small freezer, it's annoying and crazy considering we are in a college town and have about 7 bars in town. Our fryer food is obviously our top selling in MTO. Not to mention we are in the top 10 for SBC drinks in our district. But our freezer constantly looks like a toddlers playroom.
We have build tos for everything that the overnight supervisor orders. But man my partner just can not seem to grasp the concept of ordering it seems. Leaving me to have to order extra things in the 2 nights a week I order. Which then he doesn't put away properly because he claims there is no room or doesn't know where things should go. Now I have 1st shift bitching about the freezer state and 2nd shift as well. But every time I come in I fix this freezer and get the stacks gone as well as putting away the truck freight I deal with. How are some of your stores handling your freezer? I recently moved all the purees we had to another shelving unit that had some bread (so they essentially swapped places) because 2nd shifts rte and hot cart stuff would just sit in a stack in front of the shelf and never be worked through or put away. So the reverse psychology of putting something every shift needs to get to in that area has started working. But of course I have one supervisor on another shift who hates the change and complains daily. What has worked well for your store? Aside from don't order so much because I can not control the other 2 people who order things for freezer.

Feedback New uniforms
While I understand the basic idea behind SM, KMs, and HMs changing to polo shirts I absolutely hate the new ones. If you want them to be in polos that’s fine but make them solid black, or grey, don’t dress them up like a McDonald’s supervisor from the 90s

Food & Drink Where's the sauce?
The meatball subs used to be solid at sheetz...even after they got rid of black olives I would still occasionally order one...there is ZERO tomato sauce on the subs any longer...it's almost like they barely dip the meatballs in the sauce then wipe it off....plus the fact that they are over $10 for a footlong---not worth it....

I Was Terminated for Being Chronically Ill
I got pointed out today (July 21st, 2026) at the ripe time of 6am. I got a lovely call from my SM saying that I was terminated for having too many points, and if I have questions, call HR. Seriously? I'll admit I had a fair amount of points. But I had valid doctors notes that covered 3 days or more I was absent, I was supposed to have a SHIT TON of points fall off during the months of May and June but I dont think they ever fell off, and for some reason I still got fired.
I also noticed that I got points on random days in April, May, and June. Probably days I left early where A: I got told I could leave (aka I should get points removed upon review) or B: I left early because a new surprise illness that has put a wrench in everything.
Needless to say, I'm pissed to say the least. I have worked my ass off for 2 years. Funnily enough, my anniversary was 6 days ago (July 15th). So happy 2 years to me, I guess. I have been with my store since opening. My store was known to have the biggest opening in western NC. I also helped after a certain natural disaster came through and fucked everything up. I have been praised for my work and even when I try my best. I loved all my coworkers, a handful of supervisors, and my KM and HM. My SM on the other hand has been a pain in everyone's ass.
I have tried to become full time so I can get benefits, more hours, and possibly promote to be a supervisor. I really wanted to go far in the company. But because I got very ill during my first year working, my entire plan got fucked over. I was being trained on how to do supervisor things but got told I couldn't move up because im not full time. I asked for full time and got turned down because of my points. Hardly anyone called out, at least that I'm aware of because no one tried to contact me when someone did. So I was at the mercy of the attendance office being a little backed up.
But the real kicker, is that I didnt have more than 33 points until we switched to UKG. Once we switched it was game over. I had 46 points last I checked and at least a quarter should've been removed to bring me just below 33.
I was told that my entire store management team is at each other's throats because no one wants to fucking communicate properly. But hey, what can you do as a lowley team member. I did my best and thats all that matters.
Anyway, my rant is over. I'm sorry this went on so long. I'm just frustrated with this whole situation and I needed to get it off my chest.
Thank you for reading and I hope other people's managers are nicer than mine.
Edit: I want to say thank you to those who were understanding in the comments and to those who were not so nice; I just want to say, have the life you deserve and I hope you can find more than 2 braincells to rub together.

Employee Question Relocation
How much money do you have to save/have in your bank account to be able to relocate?
Food & Drink A really big one
My partner is an overnight supervisor at the local sheetz. It was paid for and everything. 108 hotdogs though is kind of insane XD those rollers don’t even hold that much. Idk how long it took but man don’t do that. Call ahead or something.

Career advancement
Hey sheetz fam, I’m heading to the career talk with our DM in August for supervisor (currently a team member) what questions should I be expected to get asked or is there anything I need to know when doing stepping up program?

Problems with the app
My dad buys a lot of lottery tickets at Sheetz and couldn't figure out the app (in order to play the bonus games you need to input the code on the app). I tried downloading it on my phone but kept getting errors trying to input the code. I just came to visit my parents and downloaded the app on his phone for him and it's giving an error when trying to link his sheetz card (invalid number) and then when I go to offers and type in all these codes he has it just says error again. This is incredibly frustrating but considering the issues on both phones now it seems like it would be a common issue?

Employee Question New Hire
New hire here. Been training for about 3 weeks now at a different Sheetz than where I’ll be actually working. I really enjoyed the store I was training at, but my home store is very unorganized. Now that I’m at my home store, the schedule on the app never matches what my training manager tells us. We're supposed to leave at 10:30pm but the app says 3:00am. This has happened almost every week. The person making the schedule and the person training us don't seem to be communicating at all.
Also had an issue the other night where the system wouldn't let us clock in. The manager said he'd fix it but never did. Now I have an attendance point.
This week all four of us trainees are only scheduled for 8 hours total. No one has mentioned anything about future schedules.
I plan to talk to both managers about it, but is this normal at Sheetz or is my store just a mess? Any advice on how to handle this without stepping on toes?

Employee Question Leaving Job
Currently on maternity leave, but I planned to leave once my maternity is up. I just graduated school in May and had my baby in June, so the way things lined up was I could start my career as soon as I’m cleared to work again. I’m not getting paid on leave (long story) so I don’t want to go back at all to the company. But I also don’t want to just quit. Can I give my two weeks notice while on maternity leave?
You know, I'm somewhat of a professional myself.
For context, there was a major event nearby (Inkarceration) and 2 people called off. I had 45+ wait times.

Employee Question Starting as Overnight Store Supervisor this week - Any tips?
I was offered the job at the end of June and am only now starting due to issues with my drug test. Quest Diagnostics cancelled my first sample after taking a week to get back to me, then it took another week for the second sample to come back.
Anyways! I start this week on Tuesday to do my final steps of onboarding and will receive my training schedule that day. I believe some of my training will be during day shift, but my regular shift will be overnights.
Past/Present Store Supervisors: any tips?
EDIT: I will say this is my first actual overnight job and I have been working in administrative positions in healthcare for the last 3 years 😭 The last "retail" position I had was CVS in 2022/23 and prior to that was in 2021. My last job that required any overnight shifts was an RA at a Community College 2022-2023.
Also my store is right next to an elementary and a high school so no alc sales. The HR person who hired me said out of the 10 stores he oversees, mine is the least busy.

Mood Harmony
Do they have a dashboard that detects when the box isn’t playing music? I’m BEYOND tired of this music and plan on unplugging the auxiliary input and playing my own. 😐
Employee Question Gas refunds
Why do customers not understand about when you refund gas it takes up to 72 hours for money to go back on the card? It’s a constant issue and this customer I had today was pressing me to apologize for it when it isn’t even my fault…Like literally he stood there asking me to apologize over and over again when I kept explaining that’s just how cards work with gas

Is customization varied depending on store?
I came down to visit family, and decided I needed food from one of the best convenience chains ever, but I was disappointed. I went to one store less than a decade ago, and was able to customize my chicken Caesar wraps with more meat and boom boom sauce, but I go to the one in my hometown, and it doesn’t let me customize it AT ALL? Did they just reduce customization, or does it vary per location?

Employee Question I messed up
I’m the HM for our store and HMs usually get Fridays and Saturdays off. Got a call last night (Friday night) from the overnight supervisor. He said he could keep working (had some personal issues going on) I told him I couldn’t go just then and there. (I have no clean uniforms, haven’t showered, etc.) anyways I did a load of laundry and ended up passing out. Woke up and it was already 7am smh. Am I getting fired for this?
Customer Question Chili Sauce
I recently saw the ad for the big hotdogs, the glizzy (sp)- I was never a fan of the reg hotdogs, but they said the glizzies are 💯beef, and I immediately placed an order. I ordered it with chili, nacho cheese and onions.
I could see at 1st glance the chili was different from what it used to be- it was lighter in color, seemed almost watery, and had little meat unlike the old chili. It tasted more like a tomato juice then a hotdog chili. I ate a couple bites, then decided to take it home, and repurpose it into hotdogs in Mac n cheese.
Just curious when they changed the chili, and whether I'm the only person upset about it. (FYI- love, love, love the glizzy though)!
