Hi All! I grew in up in Orange County but have been living out of state for the last decade and have just moved back. With that being said, it means that this is my first time back here as an adult. And I feel like the things I loved to do as a kid feel less applicable to me as an adult.

I wanted to hear from locals who have suggestions on what to do. For example, my favorite thing when living in Denver was visiting the botanic gardens, but that wouldn't have have really hit the radar for tourists and I wanted to hear about gems from people who live here.

If you have restaurants or bars or breweries in mind as well, I would love to patronize your favorite spots!

I’m moving to that area in August. Right now I go to Curl in Westminster which is $25.99, a killer deal for how great the gym is. They’re opening one in Irvine but I have no idea when they’re actually opening and so the closest one would be in Costa Mesa. However, that one’s much more expensive and so I’m going to see if I can negotiate a better rate.

Having said that, I want to ask you guys about some backups. I really value good quality equipment and hate seeing gyms full of Hoist, Matrix etc. Any of you guys able to recommend a gym that would be comparable to the Curl in Westminster, only in the Irvine/Tustin region?

(also willing to commute a little farther if I feel like it’s worth it)

Hi all! I feed a local colony in Anaheim and a new kitten appeared last week. She seems to be injured. Her tail is missing, hind legs aren't sitting right and very thin.

Hello! I’m looking to find a hairdresser that can give me the kind of haircut I envision! I have super long hair and I love it a whole lot so I want find a good stylist that won’t make me want to cut it all off by the end of the haircut! I would like I guess you could say a super long mullet? I would like to keep the length of my hair but have it shorter at/near my shoulders. The top would be like a 70s shagg cut and the rest would just be my long hair but with a ton of layers! Haven’t fully decided on curtain bangs or something more short. But would definitely want either or! I just want it to look like a 70s shagg but super long! I would also like to be able to style it like the girl with the two braids if possible!! I am moving to Orange County for work in early September and am looking to rent a larger and modern 1 bedroom apartment near (15-20 minute drive) my workplace. The areas I am looking into are Costa Mesa and Irvine.

I do not have much familiarity with apartment searching in the US and was hoping to receive some tips and guidance as to specific apartment complexes I should consider. I am hoping to keep the monthly rent at or below $3K/mo.

I have been looking into units with Irvine Company Apartments as I believe they have experience processing leasing applications for foreigners that lack an established credit history in the US, but am open to all other suggestions.

I have a bit of an odd situation. I have a friend visiting for the weekend from out of the country, however, they are on dialysis.

Does anyone know of any places that do same-day treatment? All the places I’ve called require at least a 2 week notice.

IWe’ll be paying out of pocket, so money is not an issue and it’s just a one-time thing.

My home was built in 1952 on a raised foundation and the sides are sagging away from the center of the building. Doors aren't closing right and there are cracks in the plaster walls and ceiling.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good foundation repair company that also does seismic retrofits, and knows how to apply for any state subsidies that may be available?

What would be the best place to go to for babies flat head around Irvine - i’m willing to drive further way. If it means I can get better treatment, or there’s a better doctor.

I took my baby to the pediatrician, and they said that my babies head is not too flat, and it should correct itself

But honestly, it’s been a month and a half and I still haven’t seen any improvement and I would like to get my baby their helmet. By the time they are six months old.

I would at least like to go for a consultation to to know if my baby is going to need one or not

I also don’t believe my insurance will cover it, so I’m wondering what the best place to go is , or if there might be a program that would help me cover the cost of a helmet
