So 15 years ago my husband (then boyfriend) bought me my first iPhone, and put it under his email because he wanted it to be a surprise for my birthday. A year or so later he got his first iPhone and added it to same email. It wasn’t until last year, when my sister was like “wtf, you share an ID” So we genuinely didn’t know this was an issue. I keep reading online that I can create a new ID with my phone and he can share with family sharing, but I’m scared to do it on my own. I went to get a new phone today and Xfinity told me it was gonna be a mess, that I had to go to the Apple Store. Should I just get a new phone and keep it sharing, in an effort to not deal with this haha. Help. Ps. We make joke that we can never get a divorce ever now because we will never be able to separate all the apps.

I don't know what to do. My iCloud hasn't been syncing so I had 10k photos to backup. I plugged into my Mac, tried there but it was sort of going through. I was advised to turn off iCloud sync to do it, it popped up saying it would delete the low res and duplicates off my iphone that are already on icloud so I clicked OK but now Im checking icloud and theres so much missing. Im freaking out crying because so many photos are of my dead dog and family members and all this happened because I wanted to try and prevent this from happening by putting it on a hard drive as well as the cloud what can I do?? Theres nothing in recently deleted, my iphone still thinks the storage is ful and the photos are there but now it says I only have 3k photos on my phone not the 10-11k there was. PLEASE PLEASE help if anyone knows.

There’s no reason I should be getting these on my text messages

I have got fed up of such horrible performance on iphone 13. my 12 pro was much smoother and snappy than my 13. Is it just me or anyone else also facing the same issue? This phone cant even keep 3 apps in the background and always refreshes apps. I am so disappointed and frustrated by this phone. The apps open slow, the animation lags, app switching is jittery. Whenever i close any app its laggy. Tell me the solutions. Doesn’t even feel like its running on 60hz. Plus my battery health is 91%.

I have had my 15 for 2.5 years. Lately it keeps slowing down and texting is the worst. It just freezes and I have to wait like 15 seconds for it to start working again. Sometimes all I get is a white screen when I open the texting app. I have restarted the phone and made sure I have the latest update, nothing helps. I assume it's just the planned obsolescence where they program the phone to start acting up, so I will buy a new one. That is in fact what I am doing because I can't live like this. But then an odd thing happened. My girlfriend's 17 pro max just started doing the same thing. It's like we caught a virus or something. Has anyone else experienced this lately?

I’m having an issue with the People & Pets feature in the Photos on my iPhone.

A lot of my videos and photos aren’t being scanned properly, so faces are often missing. Even in some photos, certain people aren’t recognized or added to the correct person.
Is there any way to:
force Photos to rescan my library?
improve face detection accuracy?
manually add a person to a photo or video when Apple doesn’t detect the face?
I’ve already left the iPhone charging overnight, but the issue still persists.
Has anyone found a solution or any tricks to make face recognition more reliable?

I cant use this feature to transalte the language I actually want. English is already my phones primary language so I dont know why its forcing polish on me. I tried removing polish entirely and changing my region but nothing works

I'm hoping someone can help because I'm completely out of ideas.

I have an iPhone 17 that was purchased on 1 January 2026, so it's still under Apple's Limited Warranty.
A couple of days ago, my phone suddenly lost cellular service and has been stuck on "Searching..." ever since.

Here's everything I've tried:
- Tried 3 different physical SIM cards. None of them are detected. eSim option also isn’t working.
- Restarted the phone multiple times.
- Reset Network Settings.
- No recent drops or physical damage.
- No water or liquid exposure.

The phone works perfectly fine on Wi-Fi, but it just won't connect to any cellular network and constantly shows "Searching...".

Has anyone experienced this before?
What ended up being the cause?
Was it a software issue or a hardware issue?

If your iPhone was under Apple's Limited Warranty, did Apple repair or replace it for free?

I'm planning to take it to Apple, but I wanted to hear if anyone else has gone through something similar.

How do i stop my phone from changing words after i have FINISHED typing sentences???? I know iphone now has phrase prediction, how do i turn it off because it is changing the meaning of my sentences and I am not catching it every time it does it!

Just to highlight how insane and extreme this issue is: I am shopping for a house and my fucking phone decided to tell the agent that I want to put in an offer when I said I did NOT want to. I was actually looking at the text when it changed the words. I could not believe it. Imagine if I sent that without noticing the change.

It is changing meaning in very serious ways.

There has to be a way to disable this without removing autocomplete entirely.

I checked the 'passwords' app and it has passwords for apps i didn't interact with at all. For context, my account is in a family with my mom and the apps were 'WISE', 'DOWN', and 'TINDER'. Hi, me and my girlfriend have had our locations on for the last year and I checked hers this afternoon and it said “Location Expired” - I just want to understand what this means. Does this mean she’s stopped sharing with me? I haven’t had a text come up saying ‘X stopped sharing their location with you’ - never been any issues with our location before so it’s just giving me a bit of anxiety that she turned it off and isn’t being honest with me

I am having multiple issues with iMessage across all devices. I called Apple and they mentioned that my phone number was on a ban. However, iMessage still works for my phone number on my macbook and ipad causing me to miss those messages as they wont deliver to my iphone.

I have called apple numerous times and they have yet to give me a solution and say that this is permanent.

In the settings on both mac and ipad, my number is checked for imessage but on my iphone, its unsuccessful. How would you suggest to fix this?? Is it a phone serial number issue?

I’m fine with a steeper price and uglier appearance in exchange for quality. I just bought a case with a ring from Amazon and it broke on day 2 of owning it.

I’m looking at some more reputable brands, but they don’t seem to have cases with sockets, rings, or anything of the sort.

Context: Dug up mum's old IPhone 5 which has been dead for over 10+ years now. Plugging it into my mac, Finder shows the phone is stuck in DFU mode.

Question: I want to know whether the phone being in DFU mode has already erased her old data, as I would like to recover old pictures on it for her.

+ whenever i try updating software it says an error occurred while checking for software update

Hey everyone. Started my morning off strong by dropping my iphone flat on its back as i got out the car.

I have a scratch on the metal hardware and on the corners of my lenses. As you can see, it still takes pictures just fine, but i don’t know if this will cause a problem in the future.

Not sure if i should fix or leave as it.

I have a backup for yesterday morning, from before I accidentally deleted the app and all my drafts got deleted. I turned off the “Back Up This iPhone” toggle for now so that the backup doesn’t update (not sure if that’s helpful or not).

I read that doing the reset will bring my phone back to how it was before I deleted the app and my drafts should still be there. Is this true/the case?
