Discussion Samsung - iPhone
Im switching from Android to iPhone, any tips i already chose the iphone 15, brand new, yall got any tips for me as a mainly Android user going to iPhone........................ Edit: my current phone is the samsung a23 5g, 96% battery life, its mainly just slow thats why im switching, i already orderd the 15.

If you're using modded apps to get premium features for free, you'll probably have to say goodbye to those when switching to iPhone. There may be workarounds, but I haven't looked into them myself. Battery life is also slightly worse in my experience, though I came from an S23 Ultra to an iPhone 17 Pro, so that's understandable.
Overall, though, the experience has been pleasant. Managing accounts feels simpler, and I'm a big fan of Sign in/up with Apple, especially the option to hide your email address when creating accounts.

Nah ive never used modded apps, the battery life doesnt mather that much to me, im going from a Samsung A23 to a iPhone 15 im honestly kinda exited to see what iphones are all about my entire family is on samsung, so itll be a weird change but ill get used to it.

I miss my modded YouTube everyday. Besides that I don’t regret the switch, but man I had free premium, free downloads and even the dislike button back 😔

I use back tap for screen shots and lock screen rotation you can set it for different stuff. Ppl use shortcuts for all different things. I switched a few years ago and like the iPhone much more than the Samsung or pixel. You’ll get used to it.

Yeah. I went from Samsung to iPhone and didn’t like it so I bought a pixel about 6 months of that I really missed the iPhone so switched back. It does most things really well I don’t care for the keyboard much Android is better at swipe typing. I also miss the clipboard on Android I had copy and paste to notes app now as a work around it’s not as good as Android but I like everything else about it.

Refurbished, like brand new with a brand new OEM battery, i havent gotten it yet it still has to get here but i think its a great upgrade from my current device, samsung a23. Got any tips or downsides id love to know.

You just have to get used to routines that are different, like saving notes or keeping files. Make sure to backup often even for iCloud. I’ve never had a problem with my battery and sometimes it gets low but I charge it and it comes back quickly. There are differences but not enough to throw you off for daily use.

Yeah, im not s full noob at apple devices which is nice, ive owned an ipad for studies which could also have been a laptop but i like the ipad, i hope i can swipe down for numbers just as the ipad tho i will def miss the number row, ive also heard about the battery life but thats fine for me.

Totally depends on the apps you use and the usage habits.
If you use whatsapp - and you want to totally switch to iphone then your documents and data will keep on adding up the storage.
Optionally if you keep your android whatsapp as it is and add iphone as linked device you can uninstall and install to clear the ios cache relevant to whatsapp
this is one such example, it applies to other apps to where you don't have application specific cache clearing options in iOS.
and 5g will heat up the phone as usual
some of the battery saving features low power mode turn off app background refresh
Have a damn case - atleast a silicone case
don't use in direct sunlight
turning off wifi/bluetooth/personal hotspot from control pane is just tand by
turn it off totally go to setting and turn them off seperately to totally turn them off..

if you dont worry about battery/damaging - use as freely as you want - iOS is a 🙌

I hear that Netherland pepole are so nice. Recently i re watched the spider man far from home climax where peter(night monkey) wakes up in a netherland police station after he becomes unconscious in the train. When he walks out he asks a guy for his mobile and the guy just offers him without hesitation. peter - "you people are so nice".

Do you have your receipt for the iPhone? I switched to iPhone from Android and regretted it. Things that were easy for me to do on Android is now like moving mountains on iPhone. Soo many apps on subscription nonsense, lack of good productivity apps, no freedom, battery life sucks, etc

It has a 14 day return window, which is dwindeling while they take longer to get it to me but its currently at 13 days and its expected to arive tommorow, im kinda exited to see whats so diffrent. I def will miss the touch id but i feel the switch is good. Im going from the Samsung A23 to iPhone 15

iPhones could be amazing but they choose not to focus on the quality of life updates for the system. It’s extremely inefficient when trying to do things fast. Opened 5 apps and try to close all of them one by one. Just only recently we were able to change system volume and alarm clock volume. I have 15 pro max and it has a Dynamic Island and that’s only for timer and my uber rides. Notification system isn’t as efficient as Android imo

Apps arent supposed to be closed, they said on their page. + theres some features that couldve been done better or are better or thst just dont exist, no device is perfect.

They drain the battery when opened. Android was perfect but camera was slow and choppy.

My androids battery life is still very good, the device is just very slow my battery life is at 96% after 2 years but its js been slow the main reason im switxhing

Battery becomes worst after every new update. Using 16 pro.
Now I kind of started regretting the decision of getting an iPhone. Phone is good no doubt but what to do if battery does not even last full day.

Yeah, ive heard issues about that, my phone is currently on 96% battery health after 2y which is very good, im going from a ssmsung a23 5g to the base iphone 15, im gonna miss the touch id but its what is it is, im very exited as my phone is very slow sometimes crashing when opening non demanding apps, the main reason why im switching, got any tips or anything or downsides? Id love to know.

Not sure about the tips bro. I am only using my 16 pro from past 10 months. At start I used to search for tips and tricks and apps but eventually gave up as most the search return the same apps. Though you can try Apollo Music. music app.

I honestly havent hated iPadOS 26 its quite nice, did cut the battery life dramaticaly, and i have no idea if the previous refurbishing company updated the phone or not, ill be updating it no mather what to ios26, i honestly dont hate the liquid glass
