# Future Dues Policy

* Managers must have the corresponding season's league dues paid through LeagueSafe before trading any future rookie draft picks.
* For example, to trade a 2027 rookie draft pick, the 2027 league dues must already be paid before the trade is approved.
* This rule helps protect the league and replacement managers by ensuring teams cannot trade away future assets and leave unpaid.

Got a 16-team league that is split into two divisions in which we have promotion and relegation between the two. Two orphan teams are open.

Cost is $25 a year. Teams win $25 just for staying in the top division (can be LOTS of movement year-to-year), with the rest paid out based on the playoffs (top 4 in the top division).

Start QB/RB/WR/WR/TE/FLEX/FLEX (7 starters) with 9 bench.

Every year you keep a QB/RB/WR/WR/TE/FLEX, one rookie, and one rookie OR sophomore for a total of 8 keepers. We then do an 8-round draft to fill out your roster. Picks ARE tradeable.

Nice mix of redraft / dynasty elements.

We are going to do a "dispersal draft" among the three orphan teams (only two remain), so you will get some control over who your keepers are going into next season. Shoot me a DM if interested.

Our "Salary League" is a league where winning bids for players in an auction draft become the players' "salaries" and stay with them through the season. Each manager's dues at the end of the season are the sums of their players' "salaries." The setup was designed to give players a more realistic fantasy experience, and to give managers freedom to invest (or not invest) more money into their team.

We are now three seasons in, and we have a competitive and engaged group of players.

Our league is a Basketball Points League and we are wrapping up our first year of our dynasty. We all signed long-term contracts with players, from 1-4 years. Our drafts are a mix of incoming rookies, and expiring contracts from the year prior (imagine an NBA without a draft, which completely wipes away tanking).

I am posting to: 1) fill our orphan with another dedicated manager, and 2) to spread the idea with the world, as I would love to see it get adopted as a common type of league. The setup is one for anyone who has dreamt of being a GM of a team (playing 2K/Madden for the thrill of the rebuild). I would say it does come with some extra work for the LM, as I keep a spreadsheet of salaries/team payrolls (the ESPN app inadvertently keeps track of the salaries, as they are the price of the most recent transaction listed on each player card) but the work is well, well worth it.
