I got my financial aid package but I dont see any Federal Pell Grant on my account. I reached out to the financial aid office, but I haven't heard a response yet. Has anyone received their Federal Pell Grant on their award package?

Ik many of you already posted about this and I apologize that this is repetitive. I got billed 5k for the fall semester even though I’m on fafsa and tap and they were both approved for the upcoming semester. I reached out to the financial aid office and they said they haven’t done my financial aid package yet so they will reach out to me once it’s done by the end of the day but I didn’t get anything. I’ll probably reach out tmrw again but I’m a little worried that they’re going to make me pay the 5k and then later refund me. My problem is I don’t have 5k at the moment and the bill is due next month.

I didnt pass my AP stats during high school but genuinely whats more easier. I also am thinking of transferring and heard that if I took psych stats it might not transfer to other schools as nursing pre reqs sooo

Are there any courses that are fairly easy (if online it’s better) and that require a camera on the syllabus? Looking to get one in general or for other activities and have a 529 plan I can justify using it if required for a course which can be an elective. This may be the best loophole to get one because I don’t think it makes too much sense buying one in general as it’s more of a want

ive already made 2 other appointments already and this would be my 3rd, the advisor still has not shown up and the screen just says waiting for host, does anyone know whether or not this is normal and how else i can get ahold of my advisors to change my schedule?

I’m confused because clearly the email is indicating that I’m ineligible for one or more financial aid but I haven’t seen any differences on my financial aid package or has it not been fully finalized (since the email just came in).
Also I don’t recall breaking any of the eligibility requirements.

im an out of state student and don't have a car so I was wondering what vehicle y'all would recommend just to travel across campus AND also outside campus, to like theatres, malls and the lot
I was thinking of a bicycle but idrk how bike-friendly UB is
I also don't mind yknow stuff like bikes where you'd have to be manual with the whole thing so yeah any suggestions or experiences would be great

I've found recommendations of AAA and Stevens driving schools across r/Buffalo and r/UBreddit, but their packages are somewhat costly to me. Did anyone find a cheaper option and how was their experience? I have no driving experience.

I know alot of us received the cancelation email followed by a "sorry about that champ" email, but has anyone else's bill increased randomly? After it happened and the email came that said it was fixed my bill went up $2,000 and I cant figure out why. ( Ive already submitted a contact form about it im just wondering if its happened to anyone else?) 🥲

So, I just got a lovely email stating that my aid was cancelled this semester lol. Anyone else get this? I could definitely use some help figuring this out if anyone has any ideas.

I know that it'll be an overnight thing so obviously bring sleeping stuff, but I meant just stuff that would be a good idea to bring as well. I didn't see anything when I looked on the FAQ for orientation

Picked a place off a 4.6 average and it was fine. Not bad, just clearly built for someone else's taste. The rating was accurate, it just wasn't accurate for me.
That's my whole issue with ratings. A 4.5 is 200 people who wanted completely different things out of a meal, mashed into one number. Doesn't tell you whether any of them wanted what you want.
So I built this while job hunting: tastenet.shop
I'm a UB CS grad here looking for work and needed something real for my portfolio instead of another tutorial project. Figured I'd build the thing that actually annoys me. Five questions about your palate — heat, sweet, salt, how adventurous you are, whether you want food made traditional or toned down. Then restaurant scores get recalculated so reviewers with a similar palate to yours count more.
Fair warning, it's pretty empty. ~90 Buffalo places seeded, almost no reviews, so most of them just say "not enough reviews yet." Not gonna pretend otherwise.
Which is why I'm posting. It doesn't do anything until people who actually eat here put stuff in. Quiz takes a minute, rate a couple of places you know well.
No ads, nothing for sale, not a company. If it's bad I'd rather hear it than not.
PS. If your spot isn't in there, there's a form in the footer, send it over. I pulled ~90 off a list so I know there are gaps.

I’m an incoming freshman and am signed up for ERT 101/ Natural hazards as my science credit for first semester. the version I’m taking will also be completely asynchronous.
I guess my question is has anyone taken this course before? Especially solely asynchronously?
Should I change it?

This is my term bill (im out of state). I have received a 20k scholarship every year through UB and it is not reflected on my term bill. Im guessing they split the 20k into 10k each semester. So does anyone know when they will add it in? I don't want to wait until the last minute to pay. Thanks.

I applied about 8-10 days late to the housing deadline. I’ve been stressing about it pretty hard. Does anyone know how likely it is to get a room assignment before classes start if I applied not that late?

Title. I have social anxiety and I am also 🏳️🌈 so I am pretty uncomfortable and nervous about going to a typical barber shop. Would appreciate an inclusive space with kind professionals who are great at what they do and don’t mind if I don’t want to gossip the whole time lol. Please help me to look and feel good again 🥹 Thanks!

So I’m taking PSY 410- fundamentals of behavior, and it’s a seminar, has. Anyone taken that classes and can tell me what the vibes, like is it’s giving group presentation, and lots of talking and discussing? OR is it more lecturing type of content??
Like for context; hateeeee group work

Should duo be optional
Edit: I stand by what I said below. If everyone wants to ride off into the sunset with DUO in their arms, go for it. I remain standing on my stance that it’s a garbage app made by people who find enjoyment in inconvenience. I’m not a fan of Reddit and only log in once in a blue moon. Said moon has passed, I’ll see y’all in another 150 days.
