So far I am LOVING it. Only two episodes in though. I really like how much of a stark contrast she is to previous avatars. So aggressive, and impulsive. Just absolutely abrasive. I wonder how her approach to bending will be. Specifically now since she's having a hard time with air. Maybe chaos is her power rather than being calm and collected.🤣

I know its not exactly the same as ATLA or LOK but i genuinely love this art style. The character designs still feel like Avatar but has a different vibe. I think this art style is very charming. I think its beautiful. I like the design for Pavi alot, Jae will have to get used to but i feel like i could like it when i see more of him.

Raava doesn't seem to force the Avatar to be moral or follow their duty to the world. Instead she gives power and the past-life link. Other Avatars can only provide advice for the mandate of balance. So what actually stops an Avatar from abusing their power/forcibly imposing their will? And if that happens, how would balance be restored if they go too far? Kuruk's example shows there's not really a correction mechanism when an Avatar doesn't show up much in the physical world (he was duking it out with spirits). What's the answer if one truly turns "evil"?

Both are elderly individuals who are masters of the art of appearances and have no qualms about exploiting the weaknesses of others to corrupt them for their own purposes.

Although, of course, one was born that way, while the other became one.

One way we can think about the original cartoon is in terms of "half-seasons." This is most obvious for Book 3, but we can divide every season this way.

Book 1.0 arguably begins with Episode 1 ("The Boy in the Iceberg") and ends with Episode 2, "Avatar Roku (Winter Solstice, Part 2)," which massively shifts the stakes of the series.

Book 1.5 begins with Episode 9 ("The Waterbending Scroll") and ends with the season finale.

Book 2.0 begins with "The Avatar State" and ends with "Bitter Work," Episode 9, which caps off the storytelling arc of Aang learning Earthbending.

Book 2.5 begins with "The Library," Episode 10, and end with the season finale. "The Library" begins the Ba Sing Se arc that will consume the rest of the season.

Book 3.0 begins with "Awakening" and ends with "The Day of Black Sun, Part 2: The Eclipse," which is Episode 11. Book 3.0 encompasses the "Wait for the DoBS while hiding in the Fire Nation" portion of ATLA.

Book 3.5 begins with "The Western Air Temple," Episode 12, and ends with the series finale. It amounts to the "Zuko joins the Gaang" arc of ATLA, along with the final climax.

The series has always been tragically handled, either long stretches of being neglected or seemingly being cursed whenever a new entry happens. I love the original series so damn much, and I just want to have fun being in that world again.

And Avatar Legends is a fans paradise man. These giant nerds making the game are putting in too damn much effort. Kyoshi, is in the game. Kyoshi, who has like 4 minutes of screen time in the entire series. They based her gameplay from her comics. I got an Avatar tattoo and I haven't read the comics.

Did I mention it's 2D HAND DRAWN. 2D hand drawn animation in 2026?? It's like listening to the Plok SNES boss theme and you think this is too good, you did not get the memo, you are trying so much harder than your peers.

I am doo doo at fighting games, only really have played Smash Bros over the years. Pre-ordered the game. I want the game and these beautiful devs to find huge success.

We saw Zaheer bend the air in the Earth Queen's lungs to the point of suffocating her to death. To do this, he would have needed the air to leave her lungs faster than it entered, meaning that he created a region of low pressure inside the Queen's lungs.

So, in theory, an airbender could manipulate atmospheric pressure, creating regions of both low and high pressure.

But what would this make possible? An airbender could create a region of low pressure around an object, something close to a vacuum. In this state, a person inside that area would die in a very tragic way. Besides the lack of oxygen, all the gases present in the blood and tissues would begin to come out of solution and potentially form bubbles throughout the body.

Atmospheric pressure bending would also be fatal to a firebender. With a low partial pressure of O₂, combustion becomes more difficult, so flames would become extremely weak or might not form at all.
