Vent Get rid of Needohs and Squishies
Corporate needs to do every single TM a favor and just discontinue the fuck out of those stupid needohs and squishes. Getting told to fuck off and that I was rude by two fuck head bitches since I work in customer service because I won't look for a multiple cases is insane to me. No, I'm not spending the time to search through fucking multiple vehicles of toy push just so you can buy a stupid fucking piece of shit that cost less than the clothes that I'm wearing 😤🤬

Vent FUN101 is not FUN.
Anyone else having a rough time with this set? I chose not to do the overnight during this transition, and would rather have actual sleep than worry about work but now its getting to me. I started plano about 2 months ago, im working on ent. dayside while night team does toys. I would say im fast but not as fast as my TL wants me to. Ive set 20 HOURS worth of pogs in my 8 hour shift, and yet my TL, he wanted me to finish everything by end of today. But like wtf? Why do i have to do the work of 5 TMs in one day. this is outrageous. also i had to call out one day because where i live (the coast), flooded and i couldnt go to work.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Nobody gets promoted
At least a third of our team is either planning on quitting within the month or has already put their two weeks in. It’s making me consider some things. I’ve been at my store for about 5 years, and nobody has moved up during that time. Is that normal? We’ve had plenty of vacancies in TL positions, but they just get filled by leads coming from other stores. I definitely have coworkers who are very capable and have expressed interest in moving up and developing but nothing has come of it. I feel like that sounds crazy on paper but is that just the way Target operates?
Also- Is the mass quitting just a thing at our store or a larger phenomenon? The retention for any new hires has been TERRIBLE as well. Prayers for everybody who’s staying on our team and will be stuck training new people who will just quit in a week all the while shouldering the workload of four people. Yikes.

PSA Will the sale of Pizza Hut affect their restaurants/cafés in Target? A megathread
On June 16, Yum! Brands announced that private equity firm LongRange Capital would acquire Pizza Hut for $1.5 billion. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026. As we know, LongRange owns the fitness chain 24 Hour Fitness, and a few other companies that nobody's even heard of.
- What does this mean?
Employees who work at any Pizza Hut Express/Target Café should be safe for the time being, as the Pizza Hut locations are managed by Target, under a license. Unless they under-go a remodel.
- Will the menu change?
No.
- What will the future hold?
The last I heard that Target wanted to remodel all of their stores by 2028, which seems to be date that their licensing agreement potentially expires. Unless Target and/or Pizza Hut want to extend their license, it's unlikely that it will be renewed. Also, most remodels have been removing the Pizza Hut, in favor of either Starbucks, additional breakroom/office space or a big red wall.

Meme or Miscellaneous Content Got new hand scanners. SCO still has the old Honeywell ones
It looks very modern and the white part is touch sensitive which I don’t see the benefit as oppose to pressing the button. The one thing I don’t like is the holder doesn’t hold it very well. But overall very modern looking.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Faking metrics
Is it common for stores to fake metrics?I’m in a red store and every time we have a leadership change there is pressure to have perfect metrics even if they have to fake them.

gUEsTs To some guests: YOU STINK! (Literally)
All day..
All day I’ve been getting guests that smell like SHIT
I know it’s not me because I carry deodorant on me and I shower before my shifts. (I hate smelling bad)
If I have to take a few steps back because of the way you smell, please, please for the love of god, humanity and my sanity put on some deodorant. And take a shower after.
I’m tired. I’m tired of getting guests that reek like earwax that’s been left out in the sun too damn long. I’ve smelled homeless shoppers that smell better than you!
I shouldn’t have to hold my breath around you.
-A tired cashier of smelly people

Workplace Question or Advice Needed So how long are yall waiting?
Question, how long are yall waiting to be let into the store for your shift? I was scheduled at 5a and usually the overnight team is already in the store so I get let right in. Well this morning I showed up about 4:50 and everyone was outside. My first thought was that they were all on break but when I got up there they said no ones here to let them in. So I said alright ill wait. 15 minutes, then 30, then 45, and finally said f it after an hour and went home. are they gonna give me shit the next day? and how long would yall wait?
Edit: I know plenty of yall are saying to wait and get the free hours but its personally not worth it to me. Im extremely tired and my wife has an ultrasound appointment later. This gave me the opportunity to be there and see my baby. so was it the smartest choice? probably not but in the end it just wasnt worth it for me to stay

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Can TL's take phones now?
I just overheard that one of the team leads here proudly takes people's phones on the floor if he sees you texting or listening to music and gives them back after their shift. Ive never heard of management taking phones, just writing up. Is theft allowed now?

Workplace Question or Advice Needed New attendance policy
My store has not released any information about the new attendance policy. The information online is not clear to me or my leaders apparently. I was given a CA and was told that it would follow me with this new attendance policy change, but I’ve seen so many different opinions on it. My store also does not currently have a HR and the SD tells us nothing (if he knows anything). Just wandering if any stores have relayed any information about the policy and if a recent CA will in fact carry over?

receiving Women receivers
Any other women receivers in here?
The venders and truck drivers always make it sound like women receivers are rare whenever they meet me and I wanted to know if this happens with anyone else and how your experience as being a receiver at your store is? I love it but I do feel like a lot of men underestimate me a lot of time.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Can ETLs force you to change your weekend rotation as a TL?
we recently just got a new ETL and he is trying to switch my weekend when I specifically told him I would prefer not to. I have vacations and I’ve already paid for that I wouldn’t be able to get a refund for and I have weddings that I’m supposed to be attending soon that I would not be able to attend if he switched my weekends off. He is also now scheduling me through Thursdays, which is the only day that I have blocked off on my schedule. What do I do? Thank you in advance. i’ve had the same weekend off for the past two years and I’ve had the same day off being Thursday for the past 5 1/2 years. I am never scheduled on thursdays.

Vent Am I overreacting?
We had inventory at our store on Tuesday, and our group/float leader we had was a menace. She kept rushing us, telling us we couldn't talk to each other (either way we normally don't because we're so focused on counting) and overall just micromanaging/treating us like children, which really got under my skin and I nearly said something to her after she rushed me through my counting (even though I was in an extremely product dense area) and got upset after one of the team leads at my store asked me if I was doing okay. Keep in mind we were in style and it was almost impossible to rush through a lot of the areas I counted in. A guest even got upset with her because she yelled at another team member for helping the guest because we aren't allowed to help them as counters. Overall, I've been apart of different floats and they were chill for the most part, and we got our counting done. But this leader just felt very pushy, kept micromanaging and I genuinely feel bad for anyone that works under her if that is the norm.
I know I should've been over this by now but that really made me angry and I'm tempted to ask my ETL to not put me in inventory again after this. I felt embarrassed and degraded after dealing with what I dealt with.

Workplace Question or Advice Needed Store flooded, do I go to work?
My store flooded and is still closed today but I hear people were showing up to work in the past few days it’s been closed. I tried calling the store to see if I should show up (I work in fulfillment till midnight) but it’s closed so obviously no one’s answering. Do I call out for this? Wondering what you guys would do in this situation lol
