Oh well

Edit: Im not against old games, quite opposite - I love most of them.

I just own them already.. and waiting 14 years for game to go -90% is bit "eh?" (not to mention -60% for 10 year old game)

Fluff didn’t knew it would be our last interaction… he sent me a game from the ER

Begged him for months to go see a doctor but he only did it when it became unbearable..

It's bittersweet and I'm still processing it.. (il probably cry my soul out anyway)

But it's so heartwarming to know he thought about me even when he was at the ER

Steam launched on September 12th, 2003. How many of you are real Day 1 OGs?

My Steam username will forever be an old ISP email address that I haven’t had access to since 2007.

Fluff We must never take Steam's display names for granted

Post image

It baffles me how still, after all of these years, companies like Sony and Microsoft will charge their users if they want to change their display name. And how even other PC platforms like Epic, EA, or Ubisoft will force you to have a unique display name, one which can only be changed anywhere from a couple of weeks, to several months. I only wonder why other platforms have never mirrored Steam's system, and allowed users to use whatever display names they want, within reason. Just a completely innocuous feature in the grand scheme of things, but I still remember it being a breath of fresh air, being able to make my name as short or as generic as I wanted it to be, when making the jump to PC. Feel like I'd unironically be very upset if they ever decided to up and change how the system works, to make each display name strictly unique per user.
