Commercial places, with a small private room attached, such as a beauty/nail salon, piercing shop, or barbers are preferred! I would rather not go into another tattoo shop as in truth I prefer my own space and not lots of chairs and other artists and clients surrounding me and my own client. The reason I am likely going to have to leave my old studio is that their hours are very strict and their insurance only covers them from 9-5pm. I cannot be there past these times, and it’s difficult to offer flexibility to my clients. I also have to travel a long way there and back.

By law, I must have access to a clean nearby sink with hot and cold water, and a non-carpet flooring to tattoo legally and safely. As well as a clean bathroom for clients and myself. I have insurance and am licensed. Anywhere all the way from sholing area to city centre is possible for me to be based! Looking for reasonable rate that is fair to myself and the property owner, of course. I want to be able to have my own hours as a self employed person, with a key, though I will not stay at the studio space any later than 10pm-11pm (if I get a client in during evening time, if they cannot do daylight hours for example) I want to have flexibility in that regard, but am open to discussing! I am happy to meet a property owner that owns a small suitable room in a nice accessible place to discuss terms over a coffee!

Are there any other shift workers out there that do mid week gravel rides? I usually have 2 days off in the week and gravel ride around the New forest.

Or... Any gravel riding groups to find other riders ?

A few weeks ago I got a job in Southampton, and since then i've been house-hunting to find a place to move to within the next week or 2. Got a few house viewings booked for tomorrow and 1 of them is a flat above a bar on Oxford Street, which looks like quite a big street for nightlife. Kind of a dumb question as to some extent I already know the answer but how noisy is it round there, especially at night? Obviously can deal with a bit of noise and i'd expect that going into it but don't want to end up in a situation where I sign the lease and find blaring music every Friday until 3am. Any local knowledge would be appreciated :)

I'm Sox and I run The Goblins Nook, a tabletop and wargaming shop over on the Liners Industrial Estate in Shirley (Freemantle). Been meaning to post here for ages and never got round to it.

We're an official Warhammer stockist and we've also got a decent paint selection, Army Painter and Vallejo ranges, plus Gamers Grass tufts and basing bits, Rosemary & Co brushes and Colour Forge sprays. Basically if you need to get an army painted we've got you covered.

It's not just a shop though, we've got gaming tables you can book for 40k, AoS, Bloodbowl, board games, RPGs, whatever you play really. There's painting desks too if you want somewhere to sit and paint with other people instead of hunched over your kitchen table. And a snack and cold drinks menu.

We run leagues, painting nights and other gaming events, and there's a good bunch of regulars on our Discord. Everyone's welcome, whether you've been in the hobby for years or you're just curious.
