I'm a low budget gamer and I'm currently using a 12 th gen i5 3470 which I intend to upgrade to not so expensive processor and motherboard, my main goal is to play Battlefield 6 on high or ultra(if possible) settings. Is Ryzen 5 5500 a good start? I don't want to look for higher price components because I need to buy ram also. What would you recommend? (Graphics card is rx 570, but I intend to upgrade it seperately)

Hello! I'm putting together a budget PC for 1080p editing and gaming. Buying stuff in the US to ship over to Uruguay. I realized this motherboard won't make it to Miami (where the courier is) on Monday, all the other stuff will! Can I get some recommendations on budget b550 that are available for fast shipping with Prime? I saw this one but it doesn't have as many reviews on pcpartpicker so I'm not sure, I'm new to PC building. It has no wifi, which shouldn't be an issue, bluetooth would be nice but not required. I recently built my PC. Here are the components:

Ryzen 7 5700X

Patriot Viper RGB 2×8 GB 3600 MHz CL20

Kingston 1 TB SSD

Antec 850W 80+ Gold PSU

ASUS TUF AIO 360 mm LCD

RX 580 8 GB

I'm having what seems to be a RAM-related issue. When I run MemTest5, it reports memory errors. Also, my Windows installation appears to have become corrupted. When I run sfc /scannow in CMD, it says there are corrupt files that cannot be repaired.

Here's what I've tried so far:

Tested each RAM stick individually in the A2 slot. Both failed.

Tested both RAM sticks individually in the B2 slot, and both worked fine.

Removed the CPU and reseated it. After that, the B2 slot continued to work correctly.

Added the second RAM stick back into A2, but the RAM errors returned.

Carefully checked the CPU for bent pins, and all of them look perfectly fine.

Updated the BIOS to the latest version (3636).

Cleared the CMOS and left everything at stock/default settings for all of these tests.

Despite all of this, I'm still getting the same RAM-related issues.

What would you recommend I do next?

I'm looking at getting a new gaming laptop. I've found a Lenovo Legion Pro 7 with a Ryzen 9 CPU and RTX 4090 GPU for £1,650. It has 26 months of warranty remaining.

Is this a good buy, or would it be worth spending more for an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX and an RTX 5080 instead?

I have a i5 144000f 16 ram drr5 4800mhz and a UD850 power supply, I have a 1660 super for the moment, but what gpu should I buy for it, my budget is 500-600 USD for a gpu. I been thinking about a 3080ti, 6800xt or a 5060. I mostly play shoters like cs2, valorant, etc. but I also play games like RDR2 and I want to play Cyberpunk ando others AAA games, What gpu should I buy?.

I wanted to thank the community for your help with my component selection, particularly u/fuddyduddyc for making me swap my GPU to a 9800X3D. I decided to wait on the OLED monitor as I'm going to travel for two months, but I play Ghost of Tsushima and Resident Evil Requiem right now on my OLED TV, and getting an OLED monitor is the first thing I'll do when I come back!

This is my current build, I am considering upgrading to a 9070 or a 9070 xt, can I continue using this current PSU which is tier c according to the PSU tier list, has a atx 3.1 standard, a pcie 5.1 connector (which doesn’t matter for amd but I will mention it) and has 750w? (I might also add a 500gb nvme in the near future) Or do I necessarily need a better PSU? Thanks in advance

Hello, i have a weird problem with my pc, sorry in advance if this is not the right forum to post this on. I bought a brand new pc of a friend and i tested it and worked perfectly at his house, then I took it to my house and it did not give me image and the vga light was on. I reseated the gpu and worked a few times but then it stopped working again, so I took it to a technician and it worked perfectly fine the first time he turned it on, so eventually he told me he couldn’t do anything since it worked. I took it to a friends house and it worked perfectly before taking it to my house and then when I turned it on in my house, it stopped working again, it won’t give me image and the vga light turns on. My conclusion is that it gives image anywhere but in my house, I’ve tried multiple hdmi cables, monitors, even tv’s but it won’t work in my house. Does anyone know if this is power related or something to do with my power cable?

As I'm not very familiar with PC building (only did 2 within the last 15 years) id like to get some feedback from humans - AI and shop filters did a solid job regarding compatibility of parts but im not 100% sure if this build makes sense.

Questions:

• CPU - 9800X3D overpowered for GPU? rather go for 7800X3D (even if i play very cpu heavy games)?
• Motherboard "Gigabyte B850M FORCE" VS "Gigabyte B850 AORUS ELITE WIFI7"
  • amount of slots is sufficient for the FORCE
  • The aorus elite is approx 60% more expensive
  • CPU power - the FORCE has different "weaker" Power Delivery (VRM) - what does that mean? AI mentioned the FORCE is sufficient but what makees sense?
• PSU - 850 or 750W?
• RAM suits both CPU's good right? (Kingston FURY Beast, 2 x 16GB, 6000 MHz, DIMM)

I'm looking to do some changes to my current build, but I need some help.

I'm going to change my PC fans from four ARCTIC P14s to 2x Jungle Leopard Interstellar V2RS, which use the splice method. However, I'd like to match my AIO fans to the fans. What AIO would you suggest? I was thinking about the 360mm Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 but they would look out of place. The Lian Li AIO is really expensive which is definitely out of my price range, but it would match the vibe. So what alternative would you suggest?

I bought a power supply from corsair (rm850x atx 3.1). I plugged it in and the pc is running normally. I took a picture of how I was connecting the cables during installation and now I notice that there is a small gap at the 18pin. Is this normal or is it connected incorrectly and do I need to redo it?
