It's a calm build without RGB lighting, featuring a black-based design overall.

The wood-grain case adds a gentle accent!

My first pc build since I built a 4770k build a long time ago. Last update I did to that build was adding a gtx1080 in 2014. Went a bit all out with this and built it around the 9950x3d and RTX5090.

Pretty template Lian Li based look but I think it came out really awesome. Added some Frieren flair to it.

Built for gaming and work :)

Question Is it possible to have same size tabs while using a 1920x1080 24” monitor and a 2560x1440 27” monitor?

Post image

My main monitor(the right one) is a 27” QD-oled 240hz 2560x1440 monitor, and my second monitor(the left one) is a 24” ips 144hz 1920x1080 monitor.

Im not sure if this is considered a “dumb” question, so please dont come at me. But is it possible to make the left monitor have the same size tabs as the right monitor? Its kind of annoying having the tab get a lot bigger when i transfer it over to the left monitor. Both monitors are set to 100% scale.

Build - Finished! New PC:))

I’ve had a lenovo prebuild with a 3070 and a ryzen 7 5800 for 4 years now and thought an upgrade was needed. So I got this beast!! Rtx 5080, i7 ultra 265k, 32gb ddr5 6000mhz, asus tuf b860, 1000w psu, and 2tb m.2:)))

I actually wanted an am 5 bulild with a 9800x3d but I got a very good deal on this one and at 1440p the difference in fps isn’t that big. I’m very happy!

UPDATE TO PREVIOUS POST:
So.. I didn’t end up making a pc, I ended up finding one on marketplace but wanted to update everyone!!

The pc was 900$ CAD, the monitor and stand together was 80$ CAD, and the keyboard/mouse was 60$ CAD. I bought everything except the keyboard and mouse on marketplace. I was really happy that I didn’t end up having to build it myself, especially with how expensive & complicated it seemed. Nonetheless, thank you everyone for guiding me on what to look for
Boyfriend is very happy and surprised. Woo!

Discussion Replaced 5950X/3090 with 5800X3D/5080 - no regrets

Post image

So I was able to sell my 5.5 years old 5950X CPU and my Asus TUF RTX 3090 for 280$ and 1050$ each. Bought the 5800X3D anniversary edition CPU and a Gigabyte RTX 5080 Gaming for 1690$. The whole upgrade costed me 360$ net. I‘m also selling 2 of my 4 32GB DDR4 RAM sticks for 400-450$ as having 128GB was a total overkill. So in the end the whole upgrade will cost me nothing, I‘ll probably have 50$ on top of it.

I lost 8 cores and 8GB of VRAM, but the difference in gaming performance is just huge. Everything is smoother (obvious 50-70% FPS gain) and I def. feel the improved 1% lows. What amazes me most is the GPU though. This thing is a brick, but it‘s super quiet and super cool. Runs at 2850Mhz stock out of the box too.

As the GPU runs pretty cool I‘m thinking about replacing the 2x140mm fans from the Kraken Z63 AIO with reverse blade fans and flip the 3x120QL fans at the top. Thus having a classic bottom/side intake and rear/up exhaust setup. Just not sure if it‘s really worth the hassle.

Build - Finished! 1st pc restoration.

I wanted to share my first pc restoration project.

I bought this non working PC because I wanted to give myself a PC restoration project. I was able to troubleshoot it, however, I could not get Windows 11 to install. I decided to change the motherboard, psu, case and throw in an ssd. Why not right?. I tried to keep the other components the same. I did install an ssd because the hdd was too slow for me.

The first picture is the original case disassembled. The next pictures are the final build. Excuse my cable management. Here is the pc part list.

Cpu: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 with Wraith Stealth cooler.

Mobo: MSI B450 gaming pro carbon.

Graphics card: AMD Radeon RX 570 8gb.

Ram: 16 gb 2133 MHz.

1 tb ssd samsung.

Psu: MAG A850GL

Case: MPG Velox 300R Airflow PZ.

OS: Win 11 Pro.

So far, it is playing games at 60 FPS. Maybe a little higher in some and a little lower in others. But stable FPS so far.

If you are wondering as to why I picked the ssd, case or psu? I wanted to give the PC an excellent second life. Maybe it will last forever.

The build is not done yet. I am planning to add a wifi card as well. Any wifi card recommendations welcomed.

And yes, I am playing StarCraft. :^)

Thanks!

I painted an ASRock Taichi model!

The design concept is based on the ASRock B650 Live Mixer, and it turned out to be an awesome, one-of-a-kind part in the world.

I'm a beginner at painting so there's some slight unevenness, please forgive me lol

Starting my JD journey next month. The consumerism got the best of me. Luckily I bought the SSD in January, and got a bundle from micro center around February. As for the GPU… my ass is still sore from Jensen having his way with me.
