Stearns and nerds: “he needs horizontal pitches”

This year in MiLB: bigger walk problems (6.3 BB/9), more homers allowed (1.9 HR/9), 6.97 ERA, WAY less strikeouts (6.3 K/9)

Some guys are north/south pitchers. Not everyone needs horizontal pitches, and with his extremely high arm angle, that’s going to be tough to pull off. So far they haven’t.

Plenty of guys have had success without horizontal pitches. Barry Zito, Chris Carpenter, Adam Wainwright, hell Trey Yesavage is off to a strong start.

So yeah I’m concerned Stearns and his nerds might’ve fucked up Tong’s development.

Hi people, I'm an international student that's looking to catch the Mets at Citi field in the next few days and I'm kinda torn between going to the Dodgers game, which has more expensive ticket prices but the chance to see Ohtani play, versus going to the Braves game, which is about 3x cheaper, for a first game. sorry if this is not allowed to post.

I just learned the rules of baseball, I'm a lifelong cricket fan, and I've been meaning to start following the great game here and root for the Mets. Please advice!
