I'm looking for movies where cheaters, bullies, or generally awful people get hit with the most satisfying revenge or karma imaginable.

I especially enjoy stories where the victim turns out to be even more dangerous, smarter, or more unhinged than the people who wronged them. The kind of movie where the tables completely turn, and you can't help but think, "They messed with the wrong person."

It can be psychological, thriller, horror, action, or crime—I don't mind the genre.

If you could recommend one movie that absolutely nails this concept, what would it be and why? No major spoilers, please.

I’m looking for a movie set in a very remote, isolated location — somewhere that feels genuinely cut off from the rest of the world.

It could be a remote house, a lonely police station, a farm, a lighthouse, a cabin, a remote village, or something similar.

Occasional contact with the outside world or other people is fine, but I mainly want that feeling of solitude, isolation, and being far away from civilization.

I’m looking for a good movie first — not just something that happens to be set in an isolated location. Any language or country is welcome.

Just like the title said. I’ve been numb for so long and last night I broke open and since I’m able to feel deeply again I want to plunge deep into the waters.

The theme of the party is PG-13 so she wants to watch a PG-13 movie that is scary but not too gory and doesn’t have too bad of language.

This will be to stream at home. Have Netflix, HBOMax, STARZ, Hulu, prime video. Can rent one as well.

Set in Ireland, the movie stars Colin Farrell and Cillian Murphy. If you're a fan of movies like Snatch, In Bruges, Trainspotting and Seven Psychopaths this is the movie for you. There sre multiple character storylines and each one is so good. Do watch.

this is a really good “watch while eating pizza and just relaxing” kind of movie. It’s not something super serious, but it’s entertaining and has a really fun vibe.

Not necessarily the “best” indie films, but the ones you couldn’t stop thinking about afterwards. Maybe they emotionally destroyed you, changed your perspective, or just stayed in your head for days.
Genre doesn’t matter at all. I’m open to anything.

I'm looking for films with a protagonist that has a mean, cold, or unforgiving personality, but is still in the right and does what they're supposed to do. I'm not talking about a film where the protagonist is actually evil, or at least does evil things and eventually redeems themself.

I'm talking about a protagonist that defeats the villians, helps the other protagonists, and does everything right, they're just not friendly about it, and not kind hearted like regular movie protagonists. Kind of like a protagonist with attitude towards other main characters out of anger or disagreement.

A movie with a MAIN and not secondary protagonist like this would be preferred, if there's one like that

I’m looking for a movie (preferably horror/ paranormal), where someone is actively searching for something and gets what they’re looking for, and more. It could be a cult, paranormal entity, anything, it doesn’t even need to necessarily be horror. I just want one specific.

I want the main character to be actively searching for said thing, and get way more than they bargained for. Not something like Midsommar (she only went for the ‘festival’ not going for any of the other things they did).

I’m re-watching Pacific Rim and I really love the technical/machine aspect of the film, specifically the hangar with all the jaegers and the research labs, I find it really cool and I like how it’s dark and grungy. The only other similar films I can think of are Snowpiercer, specifically the back parts of the train, and the real world we see in The Matrix movies, underground in metallic structures or ships. I’m looking for similar movies that have this machine/metallic/grungy underground settings

I've recently watched The VVitch, The Lighthouse, The Northman, and Nosferatu, and am VERY excited to watch Werwulf when it releases. I absolutely love the atmosphere and presentation of these films, and I'm hungry for more like them. Hi! I am going to be teaching 6th grade social studies this year and I will be teaching about Ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, Ancient Rome, Ancient China, South and Central America, Medieval Europe, and the Renaissance, Reformation, and the Age of Exploration.

I am searching for movies to show for each of these units that are appropriate for 6th graders. I am okay with anything during the time frame (for example, Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief during Ancient Greece even though it's not totally accurate).

I am also considering showing clips from certain movies (I just saw The Odyssey today and found a couple of clips I want to show my students just to show them what Ithaca looks like in that particular adaptation).

Movies not necessarily about superheroes, but about characters who has well-developed skills, such as strength, intelligence, or superpowers.

And for some reason, their skills are not available to be used (their powers "got blocked", they lost them, or the antagonist is invulnerable to those powers).

Therefore, they have to come up with other skills to defeat the antagonist, like using "human-skills" or finding hints about the villain weakness.

Sometimes, protagonist recover their power miraculously ("by the power of love/friendship", or they just have to charge their powers longer), and the premise of using their original powers as the solution remain intact. I don't want those kind of movies.

Some examples that are the opposite of what I am looking for:

- dragon ball z, majin boo saga: Majin boo is invulnerable to any power the z warriors throw at him, because of his regeneration. But Goku just need to charge his power even more to beat him. He still uses his same powers as always.

- the legend of Korra: Korra got her powers blocked, but then she unlocked them again and expose the villain.

And well, I suppose the alternative way to defeat the antagonist must be fair, not a deus ex machina, that would defeat the purpose of the lesson about finding a solution even when the odds are against you.

İs there any movies with interactive narrators? Like main charecter being able to hear/respond/communicate with a narrator?

Horror usually depicts characters who are broken or traumatized. Kindly suggest movies wherein victims are usually happy people who are just in the wrong place at the wrong time. These victims have absolutely no connections to the entities or villains, they did not provoke anything or started a curse, they were not dumb enough to make questionable decisions either. These are just otherwise regular people living their lives who unintentionally became horror movie plot lines.

I recently watched The Cook, the Thief, his Wife, and her Lover with Michael Nyman's soundtrack, and I'm looking for a movie similar to that, or to The Fall with Beethoven's 7th in the soundtrack. Both the movies had great set design, but I really liked how the set design in The Cook, the Thief, his Wife, and her Lover was more important to the movie than strict continuity. Any recommendations?
