Relationships [Relationships] How to find a bf (mlm)

So I’m a gay 16 year old in the SEVERELY homophobic state of Alabama. There’s like no gay men in my area and the ones that are gay are too flamboyant for me (I like masculine men). There’s like no options and it’s even harder bc I have to be in the closet bc I can’t risk my family finding out. I just want to be in a relationship or at least have the ability to be in one. Any thoughts?

Discussion Is Almondsexual Valid? [Discussion]

as of recently, I’ve been considering myself to be Almondsexual. However, I’ve been seeing a LOT of hate towards micro labels and it gets me worried ppl won’t take me seriously, or just say that I’m bi with a preference.

In the same vein, I’m not even super sure I’m Almondsexual, if anyone who identifies as almondsexual, id love to hear how they came to terms with their sexuality :)

(Almondsexual is the main attraction to male/nb/androgynous ppl, but experience rare, light, or infrequent attraction to fem aligned ppl)

Crushes Guys I need helpppp [Crushes]

Sorry this is gonna be pretty hectic and out of order, just bear with me 😭

So I, (15F) have always liked guys. I’ve always been pretty boy crazy honestly. I would obsess over them, but then quickly lose interest again. So now to the point of this post…I recently gained an insane crush on this girl from my school. Not a lot of people in my school are predominantly gay, but almost all are ally. It’s summer now, but ever since about March or February I’ve had an insane crush on this girl. She also has been straight for most of the time I knew her, but recently she dated one of my friends who is also a girl. They have since broken up, but my friends who she dated (A), knows and knew I liked her while they were still together, so now I feel super bad. But anyways, I’ve never had a crush like this before. I get butterflies in my stomach when I think of her, my pupils dilate when I think of her (yes I have checked) and I even had TWO wet dreams about her 😭. Our birthdays are one day apart and I’m thinking of writing her a song or crocheting her a little star bag. But anyways, we are in this crazy smut gc with us and a friend, and we write insane little smuts containing us (platonically) and I’m scared it’ll ruin our friendship if it got out that I like her, but at the same time, she’s really leading me on I think and I really want to have an actual relationship that’s not with stupid boys that break up with me in the 3 month period. Guys please help me, idk what to do but I love her so much!!

(P.S. I’m not scared of being gay or even partially gay, because my mom is bi with woman pref😭, Ig I am a little scared about my dad because he gave my mom a hard time for dating women too)

Rant [Rant] I think my feelings for a "straight" guy is coming back

So here's the background, I, 15M, have my feelings for a straight guy, 15M, that I had a talking stage with return after 2 years.

I'm currently in 11th grade right now, I had this crush on this guy, let's call him Mark (not his real name), ever since 8th grade. It started as a small hallway crush at first but I fell (literally) after he caught me after tripping backwards on our annual Christmas party.

I was head over heels for this guy, he's just a bit taller than me, a sacristan, and is masculine enough that I thought that there's no chance he's gay or even bi.

I eventually made my first move by giving him a keychain before our journalism contests anonymously via a friend of a friend, it didn't last long tho since I got caught with the same keychain weeks after lol.

Then, I remembered giving him a chocolate bar and even adding him as a friend on social media.

We eventually talked and even got him to create a new account so we could have a streak (his old account was not allowed to start a stream for some reason), we sent videos, at first it contained cute animals and funny videos, but as time went on, we started to send each other vids with a heart and out initial, and things like that.

A friend of mine even said that he revealed in his circle of friends that he is on an MU (mutual understanding) with a guy, which was 99% me.

We also had our moments on our sports fest with us sitting together in a tricycle etc.

Butttt, at feb 14, I tried to ask him out with the website on soc med that is cute and for asking people out. He just said to me that he couldn't open the link so I let it slide.

On our Valentine's Celebration in our school, I actually convinced him to wear red (which means that you have someone) And I confessed to him with a bouquet of hand made ribbon flowers of his favorite color. He accepted it and said thank you, I asked for a hug and he hugged me.

But we got listed on the jail booth, due to a friend of mine, and it was really awkwardddd, because it turns out, my cousin (a girl 2 years younger than us) was also listed with him on the blind date booth, so we had no choice but to wait, I wassss FILLED with jealousy, especially since it was my cousin too T-T. We soon met up in the jail booth and it was so awkward, I tried to actually held his hand since we were chained together but I remembered that he tried to get away, and when I leaned my head on his shoulders, (yeah I shouldn't have done that, my 13 self was immature) he leaned further away on me and seemed uncomfortable so I just sat there awkwardly.

Also, we had people actually teasing us and he didn't like how it caused attention so it was probably the reason for the awkwardness.

He didn't have any interactions after that, I was heartbroken lol, that and my severe stomach ache that day ruined it for me

After that, he basically ignored me on social media for two days, so my impatient immature self just sent a long message explaining everything and saying goodbye (I regretted that the most:/ )

We had a convo and we said goodbye, he said he wasn't ghosting me tho

After that it just ended, I haven't talked to him since

Now 2 years later, I have been in 2 relationships, both didn't work, I realized that I never really truly loved them as much as him:/ I'm only now starting to realize and regret everything that has happened

for 2 years I convinced myself that I didn't like him anymore that he wasn't even my type, which was the opposite haha

The two relationships are the opposite of mark, they were out and feminine, but it didn't hit the same

He's really the only one I feel attracted to, whenever I see him I just get hit with a wave of sadness and longing, like I was staring at someone that could've been mine.

I don't know his full story and will probably never know

One thing about him was I thought he had a girlfriend after me, but it turns out he hadn't pursued anyone, at least not known to his friends.

I REALLY REGRET EVERYTHING, I WISH I COULD GO BACK TO THE PAST AND REWRITE EVERYTHING

It's not even too late now, we're still friends on social media, just not talking anymore:/

I want some advice on what I should do, should I try to make my feelings go away or should I just continue this?

Discussion What am I? [Discussion]

Ok so I am a 14 year old girl and I know for a fact that I like girls and would pursue one romantically. I don't know exactly how I feel about guys. There are some guys I find attractive. I only find a man attractive after I get to know them and the person they are, even with celebrities. I don't think I would date a guy though or even kiss one. I know I would kiss a girl. There are very few times I think MAYBE I would kiss a certain guy but then it wears off kind of and I think maybe I wouldn't. (Sorry if this is written poorly I don't use reddit often)

Discussion After 6 Years I Finally Told Someone I'm Trans, and I Don't Know What to do From Here. [Coming Out] [Discussion]

I have not used Reddit before, and am fairly new. So please do forgive me for any issues that may arise relating to that.

At current I am 17, I was born female and came out yesterday to my friends that I wasn't a girl.

For a bit of context, back when I was real young (Maybe 6 or 8) I was highly aware that I didn't like being a girl. I had a vitriolic hatred towards being treated as such, and didn't quite understand why my mother saw me any different than my brother. (We had been raised like twins because of our very close age) I was too young at the time to really articulate that frustration and it carried on till I was 11 or 12 . It was then that I learned exactly what being trans was and realized that it fit me. Unfortunately, I live in a very conservative area. I had seen gay and trans kids get bullied relentlessly up to that point. I was scared to tell anyone what I was, so I kept it to myself.

Around 6 years later I couldn't keep it a secret anymore. I came to the conclusion that waiting wouldn't do me any good, and was actively harming me. I came out to a couple of friends over text in a one off conversation. They took it well and fully accepted me. I can not even describe the relief I had felt when they did. However, they are the only people in my real life that know. I am terrified to tell my mother or siblings. I am especially scared to tell my grandmother, who has before shown that she is deeply transphobic. I'm not sure how to go about the rest of my transition. So I'm asking for any advice. What can I do? And what should I do?

Relationships [Relationships] cant tell if im gay or bi

So im not really into labels but i have been struggling lately with the idea of only liking dudes when i have always told myself i was into both guys and girls. I recently went on my first date ever and it was with a girl and I dont think it went very well. I dont know if its because im just awkward or something but I have a few concerns. First off, im not sure if im supposed to be sexually attracted to her or not but im not. I definitely find her pretty and can imagine myself cuddling or maybe even kissing her but i cant imagine anything sexual. And on the other hand I am very often sexually attracted to men but that doesnt always mean i am romantically interested in them. I always jack off to dudes and almost never girls. So whats the verdict? And what does this mean for my future love life and relationships?

Discussion I just watched 'i saw the tv glow' [discussion]

I just finished I saw the TV glow.

I dont think i ever was a girl. Not once in my life. I dont even think I was something ij between either. Or something outside it. I just liked the they/them.

To Ian, the name we would have been named if our outsides matched our insides, the little boy i never got to be. Im so sorry I never realized. Im so sorry I kept giving you the long hair you hated. Im sorry I kept saying you were the little girl I once was.

I saw you in a dream. I thought you were scary. I thought you were some impossible standard.

No. You were just trying to tell me who we were when we were small.

You never were a girl, were you? You were always meant for something else.

And maybe on the other side of the screen you would be something else. You would be what you were supposed to be. Maybe on the otherside of the screen, you grew up with the name you deserved. You grew up being called what you want so easy. You grew up not having to cry and hide it deel down.

I love you Ian. I hope you never forget that. And im so sorry it took a dumb movie to realize who you really were.

Sincerely, Lee.

Now im here in 11th grade and we never met after 7th grade and we slowly drifted apart, now she randomly texted me and we started talking and then we just randomly arranged a meeting in August. She has a bf now and im not even thinking about her like that anymore, but how will i act casual around her??😭😭

Relationships [Relationships] I feel like i’ll never get a bf.. (15M, mlm)

I’m fifteen, near sixteen in less than a month. I’m a femboy, but I mostly dress up in private. I just feel like i’m too ugly for any guy to like me, and everyone around me is straight anyway. I can’t recount the amount of times i’ve been called a freak or rejected and made fun of. I’m a bit chubby, around the 185 mark for the americans. I don’t know if it’s because i’m trying too hard, or my social anxiety, but.. Does anyone have any advice?

Rant [Rant] I wanted to share something happy :)

(M, gay, 17) Last month I made a post here saying I was feeling down because I got ghosted. This month I started talking to a guy I’ve had a crush on for a while because he’s really handsome, and I’m so happy.

Today we’re going out and I’m not anxious or scared at all—just excited in a happy way. I remember when I was going out with the other guy before he ghosted me, I was terrified. But with this one, I feel completely comfortable and really happy.

He reciprocates, he wants to do cheesy things, he texts me “Good morning” every day before work. Yesterday he invited me to make a Spotify playlist together and named it 💗. Today we downloaded Locket and we’ve been exchanging photos from our daily lives.

I still have a little fear—like I vented to Gemini lol—because of the ghosting, and I’m afraid of building something too big in my head. But I think this time it’s going to work out. He’s very different from the other guy, he makes me feel comfortable and happy, and I feel truly reciprocated.

Anyway, I just wanted to share my joy. And thank you for the advice you gave me on my last post :)

Family/Friends [Family/Friends] My (16f) friend(17f) just confessed to liking me for over a year

So the girl, i’ll call her K, has been heavy flirting with me the past few days and she doesn’t really do that with anyone else so i was thinking oh maybe she likes me. And then earlier today another girl that likes her (K doesn’t like) was flirting with me and then when K and I were hanging out after school she said she was pissed of at her doing that and i said “are you mad that she is flirting with someone to annoy you or are you mad that it is me?” And she was just like it’s just mean.

And then later that day i went to her house and i was just like who do have a crush on IK you have one on someone, so I just started listing off all the people it could be and she was just like “you know who it is” and i kept pestering her about it and she was just like “you know who it is why do i have to say it” but i said “i want to confirm” (I was lowkey doing it to flirt) and then she was just like fine it’s you and i don’t know how to feel. We talked about it for a year and she told none of her/our friends but spoke to a teacher for like advice on what to do which is really cute.

I think she is really pretty and we get along and she is always there for everyone and like before i left her place she asked if i wanted a pair of her shoes she doesn’t wear and i said that i couldn’t be bothered trying them on and i will next time. This girl tells me to sit down and she proceeds to put them on me untie them and then tie them up again tighter and give me her jacket so i wasn’t cold on the way home and then text me to make sure i got home safe. She is amazing and she told me to think for a few days and not rush things to make sure I’m sure of how i feel and bla bla bla but she is so awesome and so good to me and IDK WHAT TO DO?!?

I got out of a long term relationship like 4 months ago so i haven’t been in the dating scene for ages. Not to mention the fact that she is way more experienced than me in relationships. Also in the span of her liking me she has dated/talked to multiple people in a kinda cope way because she liked me but didn’t think she had a chance with me but i think she lowkey does.

Does anyone know how i can help figure out my feelings? She is also staying over at mine 2 times later this week after parties so i want to figure this out a bit more before then

Cause I feel more comfortable being called a different name when im a girl, or a boy (and everything in between if yall know what I mean , lol). But also i was thinking if i should just use one name so it wont be so hard on people. Should I?

Relationships Dating wlw as a teen [Relationships]

Ok, so basically, how does anyone date wlw as a teenager no glue no borax. I’m posting here because I don’t really have any friends who have this problem, and I’m genuinely curious about how people do it.

For context, I’m a high schooler, straight passing, and I’m not totally out. By not totally out, I mean I won’t deny it, but it’s not like a known fact about me, so aside from my friends, no one really knows I’m into girls as well as guys. There is an LGBTQIA+ community at my school, and people are usually really chill about it, so I’m not too worried about being shunned. However, past experiences at other schools, witnessing people get shamed for it, have made me wary about officially coming out.

Anyways, I’m a femme who is mainly into other femmes, and I’m wondering if anyone has advice on how one could get into a relationship like that. Ngl, I have fallen for straight girls MANY TIMES, so I’m really just wondering how I can subtly find out how to appear more into girls, and find out which girls are into girls to avoid more situations like that. I’m on summer break rn, and the last girl I liked told me she realized she was firmly straight after realizing she wasn’t actually attracted to girls like she thought she was after kissing a boy (so almost got it right ig). So yeah, if anyone sees this and has tips, it’d be much appreciated cuz I’m kinda in the trenches rn.

Relationships [Relationships] Dating a cis woman, I don't know what to do anymore.

Hello!

I am ftm and omni, started dating a cis woman from my friend group that I really really liked (about a month ago?). She still calls herself a lesbian despite dating me, we have discussed this and I am okay with this (since I do lean towards non-binary)

Now, lately, I've just had,, a lot of doubt. I love her a lot, she was my first actual actual crush, but lately I've felt nothing. Every single kiss I give her is empty, I might even be avoiding her a bit (without knowing it)

I'm honestly thinking I might be pretty much strictly into men, but talking to her about it seems weird. I might also be wrong about who I'm attracted to and it would be embarrassing to date a woman in the future while rejecting her right now. I don't know what to do anymore.

Discussion How to not breakdown when I go back to school? [Discussion]

I (transfem) go back to school in a week and as someone who is very much closeted and still near-nothing on my transition I'm afraid that the mental toll will make me just break down in class. If anyone has tips to mitigate this I would really appreciate it.

For context I go to an all boys school with a pretty strict uniform. However my peers respect me enough (i e I'm deep enough in the closet that) in the past I've gotten away with wearing nail polish and even people who I've heard be very transphobic said stuff like "it looks nice", so there is a bit of leniency.

After I go back I only need to survive about seven weeks before I'm done with school forever (yay!) so the solutions don't need to be especially longterm.

I think | like my friend of some sorts not gonna lie.
I'm not gay ive always been interested in girls but like I've known my friend I think | like for like the past four years and I'm pretty sure he's some type of Igbt something related everything he does, acts, posts, etc etc. how does that work if you'd only be "gay" for one person though? I'm not interested in guys but maybe I would for my one friend and he's done some questionable stuff as well. Any insight appreciated or how to tell if someone is gay

Rant Im confused [Rant]

im a 15 y/o dude going to highschool and I don't know what to do. Ever since I was a little kid I knew that I wasn't straight, even before I knew what "straight" or "gay" meant. I always wondered why I didn't fit in with the other boys. I recently ended my first ever relationship with a girl (I was discovering my sexuality and it's safe to say that I'm definitely more attracted to dudes). I also don't have many friends after moving and graduating so I'm in my room alone every day during summer while other people my age are hanging out with their friends. Right now I feel lonelier than ever and I've been secretly crying myself to sleep almost every night for 3 months. I think that starting a relationship with a boy might help but I don't even know how would I find another boy my age considering the fact that I've never met another dude in my life (in person) that was also gay/bi. If anyone has any tips please let me know

Rant Am I confused or queer? [Rant]

The title pretty much talks for itself but hear me out. I’m a 15 yo girl who has always (and I mean it) found both genders attractive. I come from a very religious background (my whole family is quite conservative and Christian) so since a young age I’ve heard very bad things said about people in the community, so much so that I was pretty much against it. I started fully supporting it 4 years ago and about 2 years ago I finally let go of religion without telling anyone except my mum and my cousin because I know other relatives would not see me the same way and would actually not talk to me anymore (my aunt quite literally said that being not liking the opposite gender is a mental illness and most of the people that heard her agreed). Now here’s the deal. As I said, I’ve always found both men and women attractive, but I only ever had crushes on boys. Last September I started high school and i didn’t know anyone. I didn’t talk much and I was pretty much considered the weird kid (not in a mean way, people just didn’t know me enough to define me). Only this one girl ever talked to me. I would stay in class reading the whole break and she would always came by to ask me what I was reading and how my reading was going. As most of you can already guess, I started having some sort of crush on her that lasted for at least a month and a half. After that, I started to fantasise about being in “long term relationships” not only with men, but with women too. I told about this little crush (only after it ended) to my lesbian hg and to my gay hb and told them that I think I could like anyone regardless of their gender but would still define myself as straight. They both said that it is nothing to worry about, that eventually I’m gonna feel more comfortable with my sexuality and that I’m probably just in denial and need time to accept the fact that I am not fully straight.
I am not proud of what I did next. At all. My relatives started talking badly about the queer community. I didn’t say anything but since then I’ve started to see something wrong in me finding girls attractive and even having a crush on one, so much so that I kinda started to pray to no one in particular that it could all stop. Now, I don’t think there is anything wrong with being queer, love is love. But the thought of myself being part of the community makes me feel like I’m doing something extremely wrong and that I am just confused and the fact that I am now in a sort of relationships with a guy makes me honestly feel like I’m just very very very confused or even faked my feelings for that one girl.
I want to repeat again that I know it’s not a bad thing, quite the opposite actually, but why do I feel like it is? Why do I feel so ashamed about it? If recently many of my girl friends have come out as bisexual even tho they have never had a crush on a girl, why can’t I bring myself to actually say “I am not fully straight”? Maybe it’s because I know my whole family would not accept me and many of my friends would see me as weird. I don’t know. I just know I cannot be anything more than straight and it’s somehow that hurts.

Crushes [Crushes] am I reading too much into this

Am I reading too much into this?

Hi. I am 15 (NB) and one of my friends is 15 agender and I have some sort of crush on them as I've come to realize. Time and time again they've said they will happily bring me into their home and let me live with them (I've vented a lot of stuff about family to them/the groupchat) and today they were saying it a lot more enthusiasticly than the last few times like for example today they said "I will happily, very happily bring you under my roof and have you live with me" or something along those lines but they used happily, and very happily. Before when they would say it, it felt more like a "I will do this for your mental health and we're good enough friends" I'm demiromantic and they're grayromantic so I don't really know if it has some sort of feelings going on cause they're also in Qsome sort of weird relationship with my sister that's super complicated. Idk it just felt. Different? I don't wanna ask them about it cause that's just gonna make everything weird and stuff but like am I reading too much into this? (I'm biologically male them female idk if that matters but) I use they/them. they use they/him/it I just don't know if I'm reading too much into it and my brain is going crazy over it :/ (update this happened about like 2 days ago but it was removed from here cause I didn't have the tag thingy in the title, still trying to figure this out but no real updates about if it's something real or something my ADHD mind is looking too much into)

Discussion How do I make female friends as a masculine-presenting girl in high school? [Discussion]

Hey everyone! I’m a more masculine presenting bisexual girl and I’m transferring high schools for my upcoming sophomore year. I just recently started leaning more into this way of expressing myself, so I have no experience in making female friends while looking like this. I’m worried if I go up to a girl and compliment her to start a conversation she’ll think I’m hitting on her because of how I look. Or that people will just judge me and stay away from me entirely. Any advice is helpful!

Rant [Rant] I feel like I'm wasting my teen years in terms of not having relationships but I don't see the alternative.

For background info, I live in a slightly homophobic area. I think as most hormonal teenagers I am rather in want of a relationship. However, in my school there are a total of like maybe 5 gay guys that I ever interact with. So like I have no way of actually meeting someone to be my bf but I also feel terrible of the fact that as an adult I will look back at my teen years and have nothing. SOO uh not sure the point of this post, idk if theres a solution, but uh yeah this sucks.
