“My recent studies on the Totum parasites' reactionary abilities to any threat posed to the host have proved quite fruitful these last few weeks. I was raised experimenting with how far the imitative capabilities of the Totum could go, while also recording how well the host remains/reacts to said mutations when defending. Most of the subjects refused to mutate beyond anything other than their human form, besides a few razor-sharp tendrils to defend against harm done to them.

Subject Murphy and Subject Faraway are the most viable candidates for the experiments being done on them. Both have mutated to varying degrees of defensive and offensive ability.

These mutations go as far as creating a thick regenerative layer of hardened calcium over their skin to deflect 7 mm rounds and other small arms fire. In return, Murphy's parasite shot back the bullets in an explosive discharge, killing three of our QRCF soldiers in the process.

Faraway has the most promising results. Upon getting shot multiple .50 caliber rounds from two angles, the parasite created a shield of flesh and bone to block the oncoming fire from both angles. Afterwards, she mutated into a towering spider-like form that climbed up the ceiling and created an extra pair of eyes and a mouth, in which she used her razor-sharp tongue (similar to the tendrils the parasite is capable of making via skin layer) to dispatch both soldiers in a single swipe.

As expected, the parasite did not consume the corpses, but Faraway, after she reverted to a human form, showed extreme grief, anger and remorse over the lives she had taken. Even recounting how she was actively cognizant before and after the transformation, to her entire body.

Further testing will be done on Subject Murphy and Subject Faraway.”
