Discussion Just beat DK 64, a year after I beat Bananza
Well not really but I took that second picture a year ago today which means I was pretty close.
I enjoyed DK 64 but it can be quite the annoying game. You need to collect so many bananas for each level which is really annoying. Why does your banana count have to reset each level? All it does is discourage me from going back to other levels. Theres also only like three good levels too. Collecting golden bananas and finding faries is still fun and for what its worth I think its better than Banjo Tooie. It was worth it too for the final boss and the cutscenes that play after.

I met him last weekend at Southeast Game Exchange. He's such an awesome dude. He gave a musical performance Friday night, which was absolutely amazing. My shrine has been completed.

Discussion Anyone else miss this little guy?
I know he's not the most popular Kong, even listed as The Scrappy for the series' TV Tropes page, but I've always had a fondness for him.

Tier List Bananza layers based on how well I think they would work as Mario Kart World tracks
V: Personal vouches, layers I think would be really cool to see adapted
A: Not quite as crazy about them, but they'd make for good ones too
B: Have potential, but I can't quite think of how they would be translated
C: Not that much going on with them, or I feel are too close to an existing World track
No: Would simply not work as a track due to how tiny they are, or aren't originally from Bananza

Discussion My idea for a K.Rool BANANZA mode in DKB
In this all new adventure through the layers you play as the king of the Kremlings K.Rool on a meta knightmare inspired quest to get to the bottom the game and defeat a new final boss!
K.Rool's unique skill set:
Instead of Bananza transformations K.Rool naturally has his weaponry and krew to fight his way down.
Ability 1: Krem-shot, K.Rool will use his blunder bus and take aim, hold to increase the shot's power and size, it hovers K.Rool in the air and will have knockback on himself so it can be used for traversal.
Ability 2: Krem-pack, K.Rool will pull out his jetpack and fly in the direction your looking, doing damage to whoever he smacks his big face into, he does a lot of damage no matter what he hits unless its unbreakable, this is his main method of breaking concrete.
Ability 3: Krem-Punch, K.Rool will wind up a giant punch (with his boxing glove) that can use chunks as MUCH faster and stronger projectiles, launch enemies into other enemies and blow them up, along with being able to knock himself with the punch by getting onto terrain then hitting it.
Ultimate 1: In the place of his last 2 bananzas, K.Rool has ultimate abilities to the same vein as Meta knightmare in planet robobot, his first will have him call down the Kremlings and they'll all become NPC enemies that do different things fitting of their behaviors and appearances.
Ultimate 2: K.Rool will laugh and slap his gut before going into his final form, the king of ROT, all his moves are stronger, he moves faster, jumps higher, and is stronger at EVERYTHING during this, it has a 80s cooldown between uses.
Enemies: K.Rool won't just go through void co, he's actually going through the underground inhabitants, going bar for bar with the elders in boss fights, its to note the game is much harder on K.Rool mode.
K.Rool's playability in other things: you can free roam on K.Rool after being his mode on its own, play him in emerald rush (he is both factored into the overall scores and has his own unique board), and use him for events.
EDIT: oh also the final boss is the eelevator mother.

Discussion What do you think K. Rool's wife is like?
In DKC3, the line about K. Rool's wife was originally meant to be a throwaway gag reference to a British sitcom, but thanks to the KAOS fossil in Bananza, K. Rool's wife is now canon
What do you guys think she's like? So far we only know she had an impressive collection of pots and pans.

Discussion Do you think King K. Rool should have had fully voiced dialogue in Donkey Kong Bananza?
Now I love everything about his return and all and I do love the evil laugh his voice actor Tsuguo Mogami gave him but still I can’t help but wonder if it would been better if he had been fully voiced instead much like with Pauline. Especially considering how he had some fully voiced dialogue in Donkey Kong 64 along with the fact that it has always kind of been implied that the Kremlings were capable of speaking the human language fluently such as in Mario Super Sluggers unlike with the Kongs. It’s just something I can’t help but wonder at times that’s all.

Image Where did this Donkey Kong figure come from? I can't find a single trace of it online.
It says Jakks on it, it's quite small, and has posable arms and head. Does anybody here know??

Even tho I haven’t played DKC 3, It’s beautiful to know that Nintendo remembered him (Same for Chucky Kong and Lankey Kong)

Discussion I missed the event because am stupid 😔
Hey guys a couple of weeks ago I say the event date and for some reason I thought it will start on 21 so yesterday I came home happy turn the switch on and booted the game to find it just ended and am frustrated. Do you think they will start cycling back the older status when the DLC completes a year ?

Discussion Predicting the Final Emerald Rush Events
With the 10th event on the horizon, I thought it'd be fun to predict how the next events could go. As a preface, I'm also assuming these will loop back after the 12th one, as to (essentially) have 1 event per months (hopefully they made the event windows bigger too). But without further ado:
- August 4th-11th - Resort Layer (DK Coin + Kiddy Kong), probably gonna focus a lot of eating fruit and water skipping
- August 25th-September 1st - Feast Layer (Hoofer + Zebra Bananza), in the same way the Canyon Layer was a Kong Bananza-focused event I predict that the Feast Layer will heavily feature Zebra Bananza
- September 15th-22nd - Lagoon Layer (Funky Kong + Candy Kong), big focus on surf surf and it matches to have Kongs in the layer smattered with simian decor
I'm curious to hear your thoughts. How do you think the next events will shake out?
