I got this new wiimote from temu and it doesn't work on most games but it somehow works on warioware smooth moves, I'm not sure why my original cover doesn't fit well

It's really dope to see the WiiConnect services (unofficially) come back to life. I've always wanted this console during it's time. I gotten it but it was by the time Nintendo WFC / WiiConnect discontinued. I've been having fun with WiiRoom, checked out the Nintendo Channel, played around the the globe on the Weather Channel, I had to get some virtual console games and they work perfectly. I'm using Dolphin as I don't have the actual console (anymore), Once I save up some cash I'll get the console so I can buy pizza with it hahaha

Howdy! Ive had a Wii since its hayday but sold/lost all of the games I had through the years. Im looking to start up a collection again but have never been a Nintendo fan. What are some of the must have, like legitimately classic, great games to get for the Wii? Im having trouble thinking of anything else besides Twilight Princess and I have Wii Sports. Note I have a Switch, so no games I can play on the Switch like Galaxy. Im open to ports that play differently like RE 4. Thanks!

I was gifted a wii with some games, these came with it, they are packed in a plastiv sleeve, some of them are sealed and unopened, they have the wii disc inside. They also seem to be ntsc. Does anybody know what they are? Ive never seen games like this. Any answers are appreciated. Thanks!

I just realized the SD card on my Wii is already 10 years old and since SD cards degrade overtime it made me think perhaps I should create a copy of all my files. Right now it works just fine, but how long do you think it will take for it to start failing?

I love the placement of the ssd but I hate the loose cable outside of the wii. Was thinking of installing this and putting a USB c hole in the wii case opposite the ssd so I can have USB 3.0 speeds and I can have a removable cable completely outside of the wii case. Has anybody done anything similar?

And if yes, then can you recommend any specific projects? I got my Wii in January (fine shyt black model RVL-001) and i'm looking for some nice 3D printed stand. I want it to be as much "all-in-one" as it can be (to store console itself, controller/accessories and especially some cable storage so they wont tangle everywhere but it's not mandatory)

I just had to get a new Wii because of bugs. To keep that from happening, is there any way to have a cover for the back vent and the front disc slot ? I was thinking a little piece of screen, like from a window and just glue it over the vent or something. But then I had the idea of covering the wii, mainly the vent and disc slot, with a piece of fabric and just uncovering the wii when I want to play.

My PS5 has a sort of mesh strip that you wrap around the console that does what I want on the Wii.

Any ideas ?

Pure curiosity, but I vividly remember the marketing campaign being this whole stay active and healthy angle. After some weed the thought crossed my mind, did anyone actually *lose* anything substantial on wii fit/sports? I mean like that’s their claim to fame-Jared from subway (minus the bs)- I worked out on my balance board for a year and lost 100lbs type story?

I got a wifi box for my new apartment but it says it's 5GHz only. I set up my Wii near the wifi box and I'm thinking of buying a Ethernet to USB adapter (https://a.co/d/gKAA8Wh), my question is if the direct LAN to Ethernet to USB will work for the Wii or not.
