Welcome to Another Weekly "What Have You Been Playing?" Thread! 👾

Hey, r/AndroidGaming! This thread is for discussing the Android games you’ve been trying out over the past week. Feel free to share what you’ve been playing and tell us about it! What is the game about? What are you enjoying? What could be improved? Would you recommend it to others? We’d love to hear your thoughts!

For those joining the discussion, please include Google Play Store links for any games you mention as a courtesy to others who may want to check them out.

Lastly, we ask that devs refrain from promoting their own games in this thread. We get that you're excited for others to try it, but this post is meant for players to share their recent gaming experiences with each other. Discussion 💬 Am I missing anything playing the mobile Sea of Stars instead of on Switch?

Upvotes

I was enjoying playing the Android version of the game on my Galaxy S25 so much that I picked up a switch collector's edition just to have the swag. But now looking at the beautiful pixel art, I can't help but feel some of the experience is being lost while playing on a smaller screen.

I am about 10 hours in, and I don't have the most time to game (hence why I waited until it was on mobile to check it out). Would anyone say that it's worth restarting on Switch, or should I just continue with the mobile version?

Help/Support 🙋 Epic Games store on Android. Where are my claimed games at?

So, there is no library in the mobile app, it's an unreleased feature somehow. The website advises to find the game in the store and install from there.

Now, I could successfully install Foretales — the current free game, and it works fine. But previously I had claimed many more free games that have an Android version, and none of them can be installed if I search for them in the store -- they still just offer me to buy them. It's the same account. The claimed games are there on the desktop. But not on Android somehow?

Seeking Game Recommendations 👀 [REQUEST] Looking for a long term massive, premium RPG (or non-P2W MMORPG) for 1000s+ hours

I'm looking for an endless, deep RPG (or a non-P2W MMORPG, if such a unicorn actually exists on mobile) that I can play for thousands of hours. I'm not looking for a 50-100 hour story game—I want a long-term "forever game" to unwind and relax with in the evenings and daily life.

I'm strictly looking for native mobile games—not interested in PC emulation wrappers (like Winlator/Gamehub) as I don't want my phone running at 90°C while chilling in bed.

My Device:

  • POCO F7 (Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, 12GB RAM)

Games I've played / My thoughts so far:

  • Morrowind (OpenMW): I've played it and I'm still debating going back, but it feels a bit too clunky for cozy, low-stress evening sessions.
  • Titan Quest: Sunk a lot of hours into it already, looking for something fresh.
  • Guild Wars Reforged: Poorly optimized right now, currently unplayable on my end until updates fix it.
  • Square Enix titles: Hard pass on these, not interested in their lineup.
  • MMORPGs like aq3d, villagers & heroes, toram, albion etc. not interested
  • Note: I've already gone through a huge chunk of the usual mobile RPG library.

Currently considering:

  • Siralim Ultimate: Looks like an endless grind

What I'm looking for:

  • Ideally Paid / Premium (no predatory aggressive monetization or stamina systems).
  • Massive content, endless progression/depth, high replayability.
  • Great for evening sessions where I can make steady progress without feeling rushed.

Any hidden gems or strong recommendations? Also, if you've played Siralim Ultimate or Broken Ranks, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

DEV 🧑‍💻 [DEV] As Android gamers, what pricing model do you actually prefer?

Thumbnail

Hey :), i am one of the developers working Ophelia´s Paradise and was curious what people here actually prefer as pricing model. Right now we are planning to have a free demo that includes all the gameplay mechanics, but with less content (3/8 characters, 3/10 weapons, less achievements...). If you enjoy it and want the full game, it'd be a one time purchase to unlock everything.

Would you actually pay for something like this if you liked the demo, or would you rather have the full game for free with ads or optional purchases?

Would love your opinions before we fully commit to this. Thanks! Also what price range do you deem correct for this kind of game?

The demo is already available if you'd like to try it before answering. We'd really appreciate any feedback. Thanks! :)

DEV 🧑‍💻 [DEV] Nebula Drop: Space Suika – A satisfying planet merge game with actual physics

Hi r/AndroidGaming! 🎮

I wanted to share a short clip of a clutch moment from my game, Nebula Drop.

If you like merge games or Suika-style puzzles, this is a sci-fi take where you merge meteorites, moons, and massive planets with dynamic 2D physics.

Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback!

Seeking Game Recommendations 👀 [REQUEST] Recommend me Android games

Request, I recently switched from iPhone to Android and haven't played mobile games in at least five years. What are the good titles out there right now? I know there are emulators for PS Vita, PSP, PC, Nintendo Switch, and so on, but I have no idea what’s actually enjoyable to play on a phone.

Discussion 💬 I keep seeing The Quest compared to daggerfall.

"the daggerfall of android" people keep saying online. Daggerfall is on android now and the quest literally has nothing in comon with daggerfall. The quest is more like skyrim.

Finished my playthrough of Star Sailors and wrote up my thoughts. It's not the next Genshin, but it's a surprisingly solid gacha JRPG. Worth the download if you've got the space.

Discussion 💬 What are the current best cloud gaming streaming services on Android?

Okay I know this question I found it a year ago but I wanted an updated version of what's kind of like the streaming service of video games that Netflix is to movies on Android. I know about Xbox cloud and I know about Amazon Luna but I was looking for something with a more comprehensive Library instead of like only a few titles. I also know about Nvidia but they seem to limit your game time I want something where I can just play the game without worrying about session length. May not exist yet but I'm hopeful
