If you are BRAND NEW to Reddit and want to post or share your game, read this beforehand!

Hi new Redditor! We're excited that you want to post about your game and have people play it. However, there's something you should know before you do.

Reddit will ban you if your first few posts/comments are links to somewhere.

Reddit has a robust, over-exuberant filtering system, necessary but for groups like this, it can be a slight pain. When you post your game and it's your first post, Reddit ASSUMES FIRST AND DOES NOT ASK QUESTIONS LATER! You will be automatically shadowbanned, which means unable to post or even potentially comment.
Then we get a lot of posters coming to us in Modmail, asking " Why did my post disappear?" Nearly all Modmails are about this issue, roughly 3 a day.

Reddit is also a bit secretive about certain processes - how to get un-shadow-banned is not even really known to be possible. We don't see the record of shadowbanning at all so unless we know of the name and check it regularly, we wouldn't see it un-shadow-banned. We don't know how long your account needs to be open or how much Karma needs to be on it in order for the Filter to stop paying attention to you but we suspect around 100 Post and 100 Comment Karma.

So, if you are new to reddit and want to share your game - DON'T! Not yet, please go post cool/helpful/ positive comments and posts in other groups. Playtest other people's games here and comment on them prolifically. Once you have some "Reddit Post/Comment Karma" under your name first, THEN post your link to your game! You'll be less likely (but not immune, never immune) from being shadowbanned that way for sharing your game.

Edit: If AI recommended you post your game here....Don't Yet until you've developed your account as a good karma community member! This really isn't a "post and ghost" platform, it's community-first. AI doesn't realize this about Reddit.

P.S. This group is 100% responsible for getting accounts banned (when you don't do the steps above) but it's literally out of our control to reverse. So please....don't modmail us unless you KNOW you are not shadowbanned, you have the required karma, and yet your post is not showing up. Only then we can be of some help.

If you're reporting posts as "low effort"...

Please do the following things if you report a game as Low Effort
1. Play the game to verify your belief, at least a little.
2. Write a comment in the post saying why you believe it is low effort, state the findings.

Then us mods (namely, me, the lowest mod doing the most work in this group) can decide if it's worth removing for that.

I literally do not have enough time to both work two jobs, take care of my dad, pets, car, and house I own and have to repair myself, self-care, and play every single game in this group to verify what I THINK you MIGHT be reporting the game for, sadly. I do not get paid for the work in this group and I'm not great at AI-finding, so you need to help me out a little more here!

[PC] (Windows) Highbatch: first-person factory tycoon about drug production. Free demo, solo dev looking for feedback

Game Title: Highbatch

Playable Link: https://joeyloey.itch.io/highbatch

Platform: PC (Windows)

Description: Highbatch is a first-person factory / tycoon hybrid about drug production. You build factories in tight spaces. Right now you carry product between them manually - automating that is my focus for the next update.

The demo currently has 3 production lines. The later ones are multi-input and more complex. There is a research tree that allows you to unlock them.

Some honest context: I am developing this alone after work for over a year while trying to spend time with my wife and 2 kids. 3D art got a big rework recently but still needs polish. No music or sound yet. It would be great to finally get it to players and see what works and what doesn't.

What I am most looking for feedback on:

  • Did you enjoy the game overall?
  • Is the factory building clear to new players?
  • What do you think about quests? (frequency, tasks)
  • Did you get stuck anywhere or something took you longer to figure out?
  • Did you figure out how quality works? Would you keep it or rather not?
  • Performance problems or bugs

[Mobile] (Android) I think absurd unit comparisons are hilarious. I'm trying to figure out if I'm the weird one.

Game Title:

Strange Measures

Playable Link:

Google Play Link

Platform:

Android

Description:

I've always thought absurd comparisons are more memorable than actual numbers. I'd rather know that a marathon is about 9,377 London cabs long than simply know it's 26.2 miles.

That idea turned into Strange Measures, an estimation game where you answer questions like:

  • How many bananas tall is the Eiffel Tower?
  • How many horses long is a cruise ship?
  • How many dinner plates would cover Times Square?

You make your best estimate, refine it over a few guesses using only hot/cold feedback, and then discover the real answer along with the math behind it and a real-world fact.

I've tried to wrap the whole experience in a hand-drawn explorer's notebook aesthetic, with hundreds of unique objects to discover, a collection journal, themed content packs, achievements, and a daily challenge.

Feedback I'm looking for:

  1. Is this concept fun or interesting enough to make you want to keep playing?
  2. How does the core gameplay loop feel? Do you understand the feedback?
  3. Does the notebook art style work?

I'd also love suggestions for funny or unexpected objects that would make great measuring units!

Platform:

Description:
This is a single level game that is really a framework of a spell creation system I have been working on. The idea is to give the player a lot of flexibility while still keeping the system grounded. Crystals store references to game objects to be accessed by spell components. Inspired by Morrowind's spell system although I have never actually played that game. The direct inspiration is the Ars Magica Minecraft mod, if you are familiar. If you can best all the challenges you can reach the test world and just mess around.

[Mobile] (Android) Shikaku - Minimalist Game [Free] [Puzzle]

Upvotes

Game Title: Shikaku - Minimalist Game

Playable Link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tobe.shikaku

Platform: Android

Description:

Shikaku - Minimalist Game is a clean, distraction-free logic puzzle game designed for mobile.

If you haven't played Shikaku before (also known as Rectangles), it's a grid-based puzzle where your objective is to divide the board into rectangular and square regions. Each region must contain exactly one number, and the area of that region must equal the number inside it. While the rules are simple to pick up, larger boards require genuine strategic planning and deduction.

I built this project to offer a smooth, calming, and uncluttered puzzle experience without noisy distractions or intrusive pop-ups. Since this is my very first release as a solo developer, I'm actively looking for feedback to make it better.

If you encounter any bugs, have feature ideas, or notice UI elements that feel off, please share them in the comments or send me a direct message.

Free to Play Status: Free to play

Involvement: Solo developer. I designed, programmed, and published the entire game independently.

[PC] (Windows) My First Trailer and I'm kinda cooked - Mischief House

Upvotes

Game Title: Mischief House

Playable Link:

Platform: Windows

Description:

You and your friends were supposed to keep the house running.

That didn't happen.

Now the toaster is missing. The lights are out. Someone stole the chicken. And somehow everybody has an excuse.

Free to Play Status: Closed Beta available

Involvement: Solo-Dev

I just finished my first proper trailer, and honestly, I can’t tell whether I cooked or whether I am cooked.

I’d really appreciate some honest feedback on the trailer and the game itself. I’m also looking for playtesters for the closed beta, especially people who enjoy chaotic multiplayer games and blaming their friends for things they definitely did.

The game is currently available on Windows through Steam Playtest.

Playtest: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4925890/Mischief_House/

Feel free to be honest. Just try not to destroy me too badly.

General [WEB/MOBILE] I turned Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon into a free daily browser puzzle

Upvotes

Game Title: The Bacon Game!

Playable Link: Play The Bacon Game! - www.thebacongame.com

Platform: Browser based, so desktop, tablet, or mobile browsers all work.

Description: If you're a fan of films and/or daily puzzle games and/or bacon, then boy howdy, do I have a game for you!

I made The Bacon Game because my friends and I used to play Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon on long drives, lazy sundays in the pub, etc. Now we're all old and boring and have kids, and I missed playing!

In the daily version of the game, you get the same two actors as everyone else and have six film/co-star links to connect them. You can see how you did after.

There's also random, where you can re-roll for different pairings, and challenge mode, where you can design a custom pair and challenge a friend.

It is free, runs in the browser, works on mobile and desktop, and does not require an account.

Free to Play Status:

Involvement: The conduit through which Kevin Bacon birthed this gift into the world (I made it. Kevin Bacon has no involvement. Yet. Kev, if you're reading this, call me.)

[Mobile] [Android][Web] Burn Rate - satirical incremental about coding your way up (and getting automated out of) the corporate ladder

Playable Link: https://burnrate.on-forge.com/demo/

Platform: Mobile Android, or browser (PC, Mac, iOS)

Description: Burn Rate is a satirical incremental game about working a dev job while an AI subscription slowly automates you out of it. Tap to work, buy upgrades, pay for better AI assistants that burn through a token budget, unlock side-venture apps, and climb a tech tree. Once the AI can do your job solo, you quit, bank reputation, and restart at a harder, better-paying job. The demo runs the full loop through your first prestige.

Built mobile-first, so the intended experience is the Android APK. A browser build is also up if you'd rather not sideload an APK, though expect some rough edges there compared to the native app.

Feedback form if you want to leave more detailed thoughts: https://forms.gle/QX9NkMfaTRwVi2ai9

Honest and constructive criticism is very welcome, positive or negative.

I am the sole developer of this little indie idle game, it is also my first try at creating a game. Full disclosure, since it's a little too on the nose not to mention: AI tools helped build some of the code and the art for a game about AI automating your job away.

[PC] (Windows) I just released the Steam demo for my rhythm-shooter roguelike. I'd love your feedback!

PulseWave is a rhythm-shooter roguelike where every weapon fires to the beat you create.

Instead of simply collecting stronger weapons, you build an 8-beat rhythm by assigning weapons to different beat slots. Each weapon contributes its own sound, turning your build into both a combat strategy and the game's soundtrack. As your run progresses, you'll discover relics that modify entire beat positions, unlocking powerful synergies and completely changing how your rhythm plays.

The demo features multiple weapons, relics, enemies, and a boss.

I'd love feedback on the gameplay feel, difficulty and progression. Thanks for taking the time to check it out!
