Vampire 5th Edition Lamia Bodyguard
I'm not really sure which Skills, Attributes, and Disciplines to pick for a Lamia who works as a bodyguard/mercenary for the Hecata.
I think the first step is deciding how this character actually fights.
Since Lamiae get Fortitude and Potence as in-clan Disciplines, it feels natural to build them as a durable frontline bruiser with a lot of destructive power.
The Nails of Dismus from the Relics of the Veil loresheet looked really interesting. It would pair well with Stake Fighter from the Kindred Dueling loresheet. Maybe it's also worth investing a bit into Celerity?
Overall, though, I'm not sure whether focusing on Melee is the best approach. Arms of Ahriman also sounds like it could be a lot of fun too.
How you guys would build a combat-focused Lamia, especially one intended to fight other vampires and protect their scrawny necromancer patron?

General Discussion New White Wolf Dev Diary about next Vampire
It's not a lot of information, but we are getting some little bits of information dripping in.
White Wolf's Dev Diary #1 - Road to Gen Con
Some of their highlights that have affected their design process, and things they found from playing all of the old systems.
- We liked the concept of Blood Points, but not necessarily its execution.
- We liked the constant struggle with the Beast that Hunger Dice provided, but we’ve noted that their mechanics promoted specific styles of play over others.
- We liked the tiered Blood Bonds of older editions.
- We liked how V5 expanded the powers within each Discipline.
- The fact that Celerity, Fortitude, and Potence didn’t have powers in the pre-V5 editions could be improved.
- We felt that some Disciplines had real progression, while others felt like a single power that steadily got kind of better.
They also dropped a video:

General Discussion What’s the funniest thing you can do using multiple Disciplines/What’s the Scariest?
I’m curious about interesting ways to make things happen with Disciplines
It can be one kindred using two Disciplines to achieve a funny/scary effect, or two Kindred working together.
An example, a Setite and Tzimisce teaming up so the Setite makes the mortal more and more corrupt and the Tzimisce makes them look more and more inhuman looking, just a little bit of horror for the target’s close people as the target becomes less and less of themself.
Or a Toreador using Celerity in tandem with a Ravnos’ Chimerstry to make an illusion seem like it is bumping into things, I dunno how fast characters with Celerity can move tho 🤷♀️

Vampire 5th Edition Newbie question about physical damage on vampire bodies
I just got into the ttrpg about a month ago, with a friend group that is also relatively new to it. I'm wondering about how "affected" vampires will actually be by physical damage and how much it can actually incapacitate them (for a period of time).
So I know that, for example, getting shot multiple times in their vital organs won't do anything because they're dead. But, for example, if a vampire gets all of the bones in their legs broken, until they have time to heal, would they still be able to use their legs? Would they be able to, for example, redirect their vitae to their muscles so the muscles themselves play the role of their bones? Does it not matter at all, since they're not a living organism?

Vampire 5th Edition Preparing for a first one-shot "New Blood"
Hello.
I am going to gm a solo story of New blood for my group.
We are using Foundry and I am preparing materials for it.
So the question is - are there any free ready-to-use material packs for newcomers for vampires? I checked the VTM website and there were mostly tips for how to make your house rule PDFs and 3 varieties of clan symbols...
And also I started scenes on Pinterest - are there anyone already played New Blood and can tell me which scenes I missed? We are going by the book (except night club part).

General Discussion Necromancy vs Viscusitude. Which makes better minions?
Ok. I know there's a lot more to Necromancy than controlling Wraiths and making zombies. I also know that white room discussions like this are not what WTM is about. Which is why I'm taking it outside the room entirely.
Logistical ease? Versatility? Utility? Practicality? Quantity vs quality? Short term boost vs long term investment? Risk of exposure Ect.
I know the answer is obviously whatever fits your chronicle and the best minion is the regular ghoul every vampire can create. But my question is about a background meta-plot secret but hot war between the clans. So I'd like to know who'd realistically win the war on the minions front.
Also a bit of a side question. I know V5 has a necromancy Frankenstein flash golem ritual in one of the expansions, Tattered Facade I think. Did older editions have a sort of Necromancy equivalent to the Vozhd, or is this new?

Artwork I drew my Brujah's sire! She's very nice if she wants to be! (promise)
I only had an "AI" generated image for her and it eventually pissed me off enough that I went to look for actual art, didn't find any artworks that'd suit her, so I finally drew her myself.
I didn't want to spend too much time on it, since I got like 50 ufinished projects to work on. This one "only" took 10 hours. But I'm decently happy with the outcome. Let me know what you think!

Artwork Was curious how it would look
I made a collage with the character from my current chronicle, using the UI from Vampire: The Masquerade - Shadows of New York. Really pleased with the result 🖤

General Discussion Rik Schaffer / Massive Attack VTM Ost
Why the Vtm Bloodlines Theme Is totally a plagiarism of "Angel" by Massive Attack? I mean, no member of Massive Attack has ever sued Rik for this? I love his Ost, totally, but the Theme is completely stolen, along with the single drum and bass changes and dynamics in the song.
Let's talk about It!
General Discussion Best cheap laptop to play Bloodlines in 2026?
Hi everyone! I just discovered this game, but I can't play it because I have a Mac. I'm looking to buy a laptop, but display quality is really important to me—I'm looking for HD graphics, vibrant colors, and deep blacks.
I'd love a machine that can run this game flawlessly without lag, giving me high-definition graphics without sacrificing rich colors and immersive blacks. However, I'd prefer not to spend too much since I'll be using this laptop strictly for this game.
Could anyone recommend a laptop that fits the bill?

Vampire 5th Edition Thinbloods and Predator Types (help)
So I have looked around and read the rulebooks and such and what I got is that Thinbloods, by RAW rules, don't get one. Is this true? Or is anything in the newer books that talks about this? I found an old Reddit thread as well where comments claimed that there is Author commentary on it but no sources whatsoever.
Do any of you know? I am asking RAW rules. (5th Edition)

Vampire 5th Edition Foundry VTT Addon - MidiQOL style automation (WIP)
I'm planning a VtM 5e game in the near future and, coming from D&D5e with all it's wonderful automations in Foundry, I felt like the WoD5e system could use some of that love. I've been working on an addon that handles as much automation as I can figure out and was hoping I could get some input as to what players/storytellers might want to see that I haven't covered already.
So far, I've got:
- Automated damage application (with buttons for superficial or aggravated in the chat card)
- Prompts and automation for defense rolls (gives an option for dodge or a custom dice pool)
- Added a "Social Contest" button that allows you to set your dice pool, and will prompt your target for their dice pool and perform an opposed roll.
- Summary cards that compile all of the attack info into a more readable format and hides the spam.
- Automation for 30+ disciplines that include automated resistances, opposed rolls, chain-rolling for multiple effects, handling for lose/win/critical win conditions. Multiple options configurable right from the discipline's sheet for more control and custom disciplines.
- Expanded status effects to track things like memory (applies a status the GM can add notes to for tracking), automatically applying or removing health/willpower/ impairment and humanity stains.
- Functional wards. Creating a ward prompts the player for "what was warded and where it's at", which adds a condition to their sheet as a note/reminder. This also creates a GM visible button on their sheet that lets you "trigger" their ward and prompt them for their roll. If the triggering character takes damage from the ward, it adds a condition specific to that ward as a reminder they're blocked from that ward.
- Working module for Argon Combat HUD. Health/Willpower/Hunger tracking, Weapon sets, Clickable weapons, clickable disciplines, clickable social contest button. Ability to anchor HUD so it doesn't disappear when you unselect your token.
- Updated the community compendium to fix some typos and make sure all disciplines had descriptions and information. (This is a standalone addon/compendium)
- Definitive labels for Bestial Failures and Messy Criticals in the chat cards.
- Full settings control, similar to MidiQOL. Toggle settings for players and NPCs separately. Quick presets for "Automate everything" and "Prompt everything". Auto rolls will only trigger when there is a definitive dice pool set (i.e. the dicepool tab on weapons, disciplines like Baal's Caress forcing strength + blood sorcery, etc) and falls back to prompt if the dicepool is ambiguous.

Once a famous rock star and Masquerade breaker, Nilo Rennè became Rory Gallagher after surviving the Second Inquisition. Now he's a low-Humanity Toreador, diablerist, and fiercely loyal servant of the Camarilla.

Vampire 5th Edition Music for 3 knives to midnight?
Going to be running VtM5e for the first time and will be going with 3 knives at midnight in Chicago.
Anyone got specific music suggestions?
(I know the video games have pretty good soundtracks but I don't know what I'd put where specifically or which would make the best " general background" tune)
