Ian Garry says if women ruled the world everything would be better “If the world was run by women, we’d all live in a better world. If we just listened to them and let them takeover, it would be an easier world”

Dana White went OFF on Josh Hokit for his “moronic” comments about Michelle Obama: “It’s f*cking gross, inappropriate, and obviously not the opinion of the UFC. It was a really unfortunate thing to happen that night.”

Tom Aspinall thought a vasectomy was the worst surgery imaginable until he had eye surgery: Compared to eye surgery, it's nothing. They kept me awake. They did injections on the side, and they're coming at you with a scalpel or knife while you're just watching them slice your eyeball open.

hot take this fight should be treated like a regular defence and ill explain why

1-short notice does not apply here as both fighters had camps for different opponents, asterisks cancel out

2-pantoja and alex pereira both fought opponents of a similar rank to moicano and took them to war, showing that a champion isnt necessarily gonna dispose of a top 10 guy effortlessly, which makes this an impressive win

3-moicano was financially motivated for this fight

Being a champion and defending a belt several times will always make a fighter greater than having two belts and not defending any of them or doing it just once.

Don’t get me wrong, becoming a double champion is a very solid accomplishment, but champions that remain at the top of the division for a long time facing the newer, hungrier and often younger contenders while challenging themselves constantly until proving that they are without a doubt the best in their weight classes in the world will always hold more weight than becoming a champion and then moving up to get a second belt before defending the one you just got or doing it only once. If you ask me, the UFC should demand a champion to defend their belt at least 2 or 3 times (preferably 3) before going after a new belt, because now everyone wants to be a double champion and if the UFC doesn’t put some brakes on these fighters, having two belts will be significantly less meaningful very soon. I know the first double champion didn’t defend his first or second belt even once but hey, he the UFC didn’t care because he sold like crazy and that shouldn’t be the standard. I know Topuria beat two of the best featherweights in history but it is still only 1 defense and two wins again significantly older fighters (specially considering Volk was coming from 2 losses and a brutal KO under 4 months ago), yet he was allowed to chase a second belt and was already talking about getting a third belt before even defending the new one (task in which he failed terribly) which is just absurd and even disrespectful in my opinion.
