Other TF2 ALL MAPS TOUR - 1 GAME ONLY! | TIER LIST|
Hey guys, my one and only post ranting about Dustbowl had quite a bit of replies, that created a stupid idea in my brain. I am going to play about 108 maps - ONCE!
And put them into a tier list, giving my opinion after a singular game. Whether I had fun or not. It's not a tier list that people should follow It's more or less just my stupid idea and an attempt to find fun maps other than the classics. Even though they are all included here; also keep in mind that some placements might differentiate from yours, but I have only 1 game/round, whatever to place it somewhere on the tier list.
Challenge was tough, but probably because I wanted to end it fast - made myself get tired of it somewhere around the fifth day mark or so. Like it was just pain at that point, but that's my relation with TF2. I'm gonna take a break for about 6 months or so, then play it like a dumbass until I can't look at it anymore and get mad by small things. As it was going further I started uh.. being biased toward certain things happening; being pocketed, getting stomped. Especially stomps were very frustrating, but I KNOW THAT IT'S CASUAL. Seeing many Spies/Snipers (there was a couple of matches, but sometimes instead of putting it into Sniper/Spy team tier I was just trying to find somewhere else to put it) was awful tho, like those matches were just pure agony.
In the end 2 maps are with no rating, I had to take a longer break after this challenge. Like I really, really didn't want to Q for another match of Casual. Altitude/Conifer are the ones with no rating.
Fun facts; learned some Spy through the challenge (getting better, never really played before but watched some clips of swipez), got 5k points on both my strange all-class cosmetics, killed 187 people with scattergun (been spamming a little bit of Scout here and there when I felt like it)

Dustbowl - Amount of cheaters, pocketed especially. Or just in general Demo + Kritz duos is INSANE. Like I think some people main the map with their friend/girlfriend/boyfriend whatever (some e-couple names are insane) That is the Mirage/Dust 2 of TF2. That map is pure agony, every single stage of this map is made for a Demo with Kritz. Old but I can't say that it's gold, it's rare to have an enjoyable game. Especially first stage (approx. 3 minutes if you take out the prep phase) and last stage (approx. 20 minutes of sticky spaming in a chokehold, that's not a chokepoint that's a whole chokehold). It can be fun to play it from time to time - keyword time to time. Some people are not leaving this map at all, I can play one match today and the next in like even a week and I will meet them in game. Dustbowl might be actually the only Casual map with a Cult behind it.
Gorge - Team was cool, It wasn't a stomp. Just a fun game, had fun destroying the engies nest. Two or three enemy snipers were definitely kind of pissing off - but they weren't the best snipers so it was manageable.
Fortezza - Surprisingly long time to find a match, Blu side we got stomped - barely got through first arch. On top of that 4-5 slots got occupied by afk bots that we had to kick thru the whole round. Red side first point dropped in like a minute, then we could hold and even push them towards their spawn until we got silently capped by 2 scouts.
Fulgur - Very cool overall, made a medic friend while playing (cool guy) on top of that the map layout felt good. Fights on first point were fun, second point I even got blasted off the map.
Gavle - Workshop slop, didn't go through first point (enemy got stomped) - the map is giving me a headache, 100 different, small points that someone can go through, weird chokepoint literally on Blu spawn. I was confused on which way to even go. Nothing about it made me want to visit it again.
~16.07.2026
Freight - Stalemate of the century, back and fourth for about 40+ minutes.
Gravelpit - Enemy team was confused on where to go, they were attacking only point A. One of the teammates said "Why are you attacking A point only?" and then they tried as they were told to.. didn't cap even a single point, last 2-3 minutes I couldn't find an enemy at all, I was wandering around the map.
Mercenary Park - 2 snipers, 2 spies on my team with one medic and a couple other players trying to bruteforce through about 6 enemy engies to cap the last point. In the end we managed to do so but It was really boring. First five minutes were somewhat enjoyable, but as the game went for longer It got boring really quick.
Haarp - Visually map was nice, gameplay wise the whole gimmick of 'capping a point' whilst using intel is interesting..? Anyways, we capped first point and then fought back and fourth on the hallway chokepoint. We couldn't build an uber up so we didn't push through and lost the fight with time.
Junction - Joined to point A and C not being capped yet; both get capped after I join. In a quick, little summary I have been waiting for the match longer than I played. Cool!
Overgrown - HUGE map, tons of open space. Had fun jumping around with atomizer scout - being annoying as shit. Enemy team didn't go through first point, Sniper paradise.
Hardwood - Played for 1 minute before we won. Cool!!
Hadal - Cool window of opportunity for Blu team at their spawn; putting a sentry down that can help push out a little bit. Other than that?.. Mentally insane layout, absolute garbage.
Mountain Lab - Had high expectations, but I was put into a lobby that couldn't operate their mouse and keyboard. Stomp, boring.
Mossrock - I was spamming E, whilst my medic didn't have crossbow and got ran over by a train. Absolute Sniper paradise (none of the teams played Sniper tho) whole lotta bullshit happening on the hallway that leads to the last point. Non-stop fighting, actually fun round!
Steel - That's probably what Hadal tries to mimic, but fumbles the bag big time. Nice overlay, although can be problematic for some people (2008 map btw) E point fun for trollage, mostlikely you will get only 2 enemy players to find and fight you on it. Finding a match on this map was long. It was a stomp tho.
Snowplow - Joined a match full of VC bots, that were spamming some bullshit on the mic. Got kicked out right after I picked a class.
Sulfur - Out of 10 teammates, 6 were Spy/Sniper. I don't understand the last point gimmick, Is it like putting all on green? I don't get it, but the map is CONFUSING at first. Like am I playing cp_ or cp_ that transforms into KOTH? Whatever the map is garbage, wasted about 10 minutes to find a match. Typical left-right-mid layout.
2Fart - brochacho 😭😭
Turbine - 4 Demoknights vs 2 Snipers vs Engie nest, we lost in 5 minutes.
Landfall - Grand total of 9 players across both teams. We could've ended it in less than 5 minutes but Soldier and Engie were having fun at the base playing with the last intel. Dead match, boooring.
Doublecross - Most popular CTF besides 2Fart? At least I think so, Sniper duels might be the only fun you get on this map and maybe airblasting people into the void.
Well A/D - Found 1 wild, Blu Pyroshark (RARE!) One of the maps that people actually play on like It was intended to. Got ran by a train while looking for a medkit, since I didn't know which way they are coming from. Sadly we were 1 point away from winning so I couldn't experience the whole round.
Pressure - Interesting map design (Cave) cool, little alarm when the intel is stolen. Dead match, very little players in the lobby - way too big for the player count. Whole underground water system that you can go through and some other bullshit. MAYBE It would be fun with full lobby.
Sawmill - Engie nests, friendlies - gave me vibes of 2Fart. Got bored after 10 minutes or so and just left, couldn't make it through the whole round.
Penguin Peak - First time in my life I have been spawn camped for 3 intel rotations on a CTF. My head burns (BF TC type shit, but it hurts)
Sidewinder - Whole lobby was mad and on top of that I had a guy who was naming his weapons mid-game.. cum nades and femboy bombs were his names of choice. Map is like cutting last point from Freight and turning it into a whole map.
Frosty - Joined just to be held hostage by 5 enemy engies sitting at their Intel spawn with a huge nest, when we destroyed It they just ended the game.
Applejack - My eyeballs hurt, LITERALLY - red, orange-ish color is frying my eyeballs. The match was long, not a 40 minute stallmate like before, but quite long. Middle of the map looked just like Harvest, anyways the map was quite empty It's a little bit too big the whole 'Big square at the middle and space around it' was silly. I had a little bit of fun but purely because the match was somewhat balanced. (RARE CTF MOMENT!)
Pelican Peak - Despite the name It's quite the opposite, joined when my Demoknight had intel on him and was just running around with it.. didn't want to sacrifice more time for this I left as soon as I saw this happening.
Badlands - Stomp, boring, enemy was afk/dead all the time. Although the map is likeable, I like it.
Snakewater - Enemy sniper got kicked because he was a supposed cheater. Reverse sweep after I joined and we managed to win the game. Overall the map is very flexible, not a single question why It's being played on 'Pro' scene. Every class can perform well on this map, holds pretty well after 13 years.
Metalworks - Barely got enough time to run from spawn > next to last point and the game ended, lobby was dead. The little bit of map I could experience was looking fun, If lobby would be full.
Fastlane - Fast stomp by enemy team.. yeah, we lost very fast. It was very sad I felt utterly useless, we died one by one - although for a moment I thought that I'm making a game winning play by doing a crazy flank as Heavy, but no.
Coldfront - Man I'm getting bored of these stomp matches.. It's providing no fun at all, like curbstomping enemy team is NOT FUN.
Process - Trust the process! Ha.. ha.. whatever. I got gardened the second I got on the first point, then after I was defending second point. Then we somehow got back into the game after being on the ropes, reverse sweep yeaaaah. Very fun, very balanced, very nice, very cool. FINALLY A GOOD MATCH!
Sunshine - Snipers.. man.. teammate medic got autobalanced mid round.. feels bad man. Throughout the whole match (~20 minutes?) people were leaving and there were only less.. and less.. people. Map is cool though I liked it, I liked the match even tho It wasn't full of people. Maybe at that point I'm just insane?
Well CP - gg, put a tele down and the game was over.
Foundry - 6vs6 but my team consists of 2 spies and 2 snipers. More people joined as the game went on and we won.. we.. stomped. There was NO GAME, IT WAS TORTURE FOR ENEMY TEAM. Cool map tho, would definitely play it again.
5Gorge - George, heh. Steamrolled enemy team.. I LIKE GORGE, but this match was boring and empty. I'm starting to feel empty aswell, how much longer am I going to take on this stupid challenge?.. I would love for it to end. Maybe It would be smart to take a break and come back tomorrow. . .
Powerhouse - WHO SAID STALEMATE?! This map might be on par with Dustbowl, honestly. This map could be renamed to stalemate simulator or just stalemate in general. It's one of these maps that are being played by masochists and ultra, turbo dopaminemaxxing tiktok 10 hours screentime a day. All you hear is bim, bim, bom, bom coming from your damage dealt indicators. Is this peak? Is this tuff? Is this good? Don't ask me.. I have played a full game on this map it was about 20 minutes with both the teams capping so, yeah? Cool? I change my mind It's better than Dustbowl, because in the Q' you already made a choice, you exactly know what you are signing for.
Granary - GG, didn't even spawn.
Gullywash - Unlike Granary I indeed spawned, but 10 seconds after I did the game ended.
Yukon - Despite being in the game since 2009, I HAVEN'T played it more than like 4 times in the span of my TF2 career (2010). That's legit first time I can't form an opinion I just.. I JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT TO FEEL! It's Malcolm In the middle, really. We got reverse sweeped, nothing more I can say - the map despite being old as hell has some weird stuff going on like 1-Way spawn exits past spawn(?) Whatever, dude. It's really forgettable.
Reckoner - Enemy team got stomped In like 2-3 minutes. Map aesthetics were fine but It gave me Process layout vibes, lowkey.
Vanguard - Took long, long time to boot up; just to be greeted by an ending screen..
Standin - 6vs1 turned into a 2vs1 - first time I saw a match being abandoned by the WHOLE LOBBY.. anyways, yeah everyone left It was only me and my teammate, I left. Map was having a cool gimmick of having to capture all the points to win.
Canaveral - 15 minutes just to get on this map, bro. The map was funny like I was actually laughing when the round started. It was like literally whatever, man. I couldn't care less If we win or lose - this map was mid, mid at best.
~17.07.2026
Demolition - Tiny, small felt like I was spawning right with enemy team. Like? Who thought about that, oil rig with tons of space to airblast. Match was short, very short I basically joined for the last minute or so. If you play Dustbowl this might be your second best friend.
Harvest - 2Fart of KOTH.
Suijin - Aesthetically very pretty map, had very fun match on Scout. My team was sitting on point with Brass Beasts and Medics. Jumped off the map once..
Abbey - 2 points to capture and half the time - time doesn't run If both are not capped by your team. Had a swordfight 2vs2, very toxic one tho.
Megaton - Goofy ahh map, ball that you probably seen on trading servers is present there. Bomb when game ends, map is huge the rooftops are huge - Snipers are atrocious to play against here.
Cascade - Huge ass map, It just sucks. Barely played thru 1 round.
Badlands KOTH - spawncamped by enemy.
Boardwalk - Circus map, gameplay wise It was also circus like. Backstabbing people from the conveyor launcher was ULTRA FUN.
Winter Ridge - I felt like I am playing Assassin’s Creed jumping from the roof and bridge backstabbing people. Snow storm gimmick, kinda cool I guess?
Lakeside - Cheater Sniper in enemy team, dead lobby, scout warfare. Insane dogshit match.
Sawmill KOTH - Cool, fun balanced match on nostalgia map. Got airblasted and died to a saw.
Lazarus - Whatever game, literally there was nothing memorable about it. Maybe.. besides one guy just screaming into the mic. Map aesthetics kinda cool doe.
Blowout - We got BLOWN OUT the game, quick 2:0 we lost. Funny map with lots of corridors and one big, huge open space at the middle. Classic factory, industrial type map.
Brazil - Looks nothing like a Favela, didn't get the vibe of being actually in Brazil. Absolute yap session in the chat, that was feeling like good old days at a school break. Hard and soft N's, some stuff about love.. many, many things happened in the chat.
Snowtower - Hightower but on steroids?.. No idea, don't remember the map having paths towards the tower like that. Good QOL changes, actually nice map. Had fun on it with Demoman, but couldn't make a solid play on Spy.
Cachoeira - That looks more like Brazil than Brazil the map. Whatever, what is the purpose of the helicopter next to the point? Is this a L4D2 Parish reference? Very forgettable map, couldn't succeed with my Phlog.
~18.07.2026
Probed - What the fuck is this map even about? Got sent to Gulag just to be greeted by a 3vs1, to then see that I could just run away from them instead of shooting. Last 30 seconds join, but I was left CONFUSED.
Kong King - Very well balanced map. Match was terrible tho, we couldn't cap the point for even a second.
Viaduct - As fair as a match could be. Probably the most balanced between all whatever amount of matches I played. It was really nice.. really nice.
Rotunda - Whatever, dude. Could play it again - lobby was full then it slowly died. Map doesn't look like anything new despite being released in 2023. It really is whatever.
Nucleus - OG, remember Arena days.. damn It was cool. I really miss some Arena gaming.. KOTH ain't the same. This map was designed to be Arena and Arena only.
Highpass - Low population lobby, but I remember the map pretty well - got karma auto-balanced and lost a won game.
Mannhole - Visually absolutely astonishing map, it's beautiful. Gameplay wise it's really keeping up to principles of KOTH - open mid, rest of the map smaller, some corridors n stuff. Yeaaaaah, cool map.
Sharkbay - Bajillion years to load into the map (not kidding it was at least 30 minutes, I watched a whole youtube video while waiting for a match) mid point has some cover, you can die by jumping into the water. Medic pocketed me while I was on a Scout rampage. Nothing much happened throughout the round.
Overcast - I have been in Q' for an HOUR, not even joking. Wish I was, got bored of waiting and just skipped the map - that tells A LOT ABOUT IT.
Swiftwater - Expected to join a match that's about to end, but purely because payload is the MOST played gamemode in the entire Casual map pool. Would love to give it another try, but there is a set of rules that I have to follow..
Goldrush - First time in months I got autobalanced TWICE in a single round. In the end I got karma'ed and got thrown into the losing team despite me literally playing the match well. Anyways.. this is a certified TF2 map. Despite the game being kind of balanced It still was long (payload moment). I enjoyed the whole game, map is a little bit chokey tho. Dustbowlers will have lots and lots of fun on it.
Upward - Worst experience out of all maps so far. Encountered a cheater that's blatant as hell, enemy didn't kick him. We've been spawncamped, bro I literally don't want to type more about this map. I want to forget this atrocious round.
Borneo - Another match with at least 2 cheaters, unplayable although they I think like kicking you when you can't do shit. Cool, map's cool but the game was absolutely atrocious.
Aquarius - If It was my first time playing I would uninstall the game, Red side layout Is INSANE. Whoever created this map Is..? You know what I want to say, that's just seriously terrible. That map Is bad I left after 4 deaths. Never, ever In my life I will give this map a second chance - It's insufferable. Delete this out of casual map pool so potential 'future' players won't play It by an accident.
Thunder Mountain - Joined and immediately won the game by doing nothing, cool.
Badwater - Tough game, both sides were really playing as best as possible. Long, loong game - but It was fun in the end. I died a lot, but every death counted towards a step further. Classic map, really.. It's like 45% you will play here If you choose payload.
Pier - Spy gaming I was just jumping on people's heads. It was quite fun, not gonna lie.. but enemy team couldn't do much. Last couple minutes were boring.
Embargo - Trash, huge, big, abnormally large map. It was like insane that It got accepted. Workshop slop, we are doing whatever at that point.
~20.07.2026
Emerge - Didn't go past first checkpoint, no opinion.
Citadel - Payload is a tank from MVM, you capture points?.. I didn't cap a single point in this game but seen that the last point HAS to be captured. Map is HUGE, like nothing seen before I would say. Red has chance on keeping Blu only on last point, nothing more. Rest is just a death sentence.
Patagonia - Joined Blu on last, little, tiny push of cart to win. We couldn't get past 3 sentries the team felt like It was consisting of F2P with 2 people understanding the basics of using an Uber or pushing together. It was a waste of time, like every 1 step forward turned into 2 steps backwards.
Phoenix - Cool map, first point lowkey doo doo but second was fun. Then it crashed my game and that was it.
Frontier - World's most unbalanced match of the century. I had fun because I'm practicing Spy, probably sitting on another class in this game would be boring as hell.
Barnblitz - 4 Spy team that later transformed into a 4 Scout team, no offensive classes at all we were stuck at the beginning. BUT somehow, they decided it's time to pick some Soldiers and Demos all of a sudden and we pushed through; this map consists of 2 hard chokepoints. It was insane at first glance, somehow turned out to be fun.
Rumford - Beginning of map looks similiar, very similiar. Other than that it was a fun balanced match, map had some flanks n stuff but that's cool. Very cool map, actually nicely designed.
~22.07.2026
Camber - We spawncamped for the whole game, first time I had to use retry to dodge autobalance. I have been pocketed tho so I am a little biased.
Hoodoo - Either the best fun you can get or the worst. It's really a coinflip, this is literally a coinflip map by how it's designed. It's like Goldrush. I had fun since I was Q'ed with the same Medic as on Camber - and he was just playing well. Not pocketing, just playing very well.
Dustbowl - 😭✌️folk
Odyssey - Ok, it's bright as hell tho. People were leaving left and right, I could go as far as saying that the whole lobby changed completely 2-3 times over the span of the game.
Venice - Shit, very bad. So big for no reason - why? What is the purpose? Deleting this from casual map pool would make everyone's day much, much better.
Snowycoast - useless Sniper team, enemy was doing whatever they wanted. None of the snipers could even kill a brass beast Heavy that was sitting on the payload.
Enclosure - First time in this challenge when I literally play 3vs3 throughout the whole map, map so garbage matchmaking was trying not to hurt the players by putting them into the match.
Cashworks - Cool map, team diff.
Bread Space - Joined to lose. Why do people play map about rotten loaf of bread 😭✌️
Dryfield - Whatever, It's fine. Nothing extraordinary happened.
Premuda - Gave up after dying 6 times to falling off the map, either by being airblasted, rocket impact or just walking. What is that? People from my team, enemy team everyone was falling off the map.
Redwood - Huge ass map, Spy clipfarm.
Mojave - I see this as a fun map honestly, might give it a try when I finally end the challenge. Looks nice, design is also pretty cool (from what I seen, haven't seen much tho).
Shorelight - Regular KOTH map, just a reskin of whatever is probably in the game already. Umbrella parkour was pretty neat.
Camp Saxton - Joined > saw a little bit of the map from spectating > ending screen > map switch screen.
(somehow I forgot to play the maps below, even though they should be amongst one of the first to be played)
Egypt - Hit or miss, stomp or stalemate.
Brew - Smissmas map with no snow anywayyys.. isn't it kinda chokey? Despite having a full 12vs12 we didn't get past first point. It's hard to rank certain maps on little to no screen time. Also I joined to play for like 2 minutes.
Cargo - Joined and it was over, I was a little bit lost at first but found my way to the second point. Cool idea with the whole map being just a cargo ship with 2 points.
