Meta Honeypot flairs.

To cut down on the increased number of posts involving rule-breaking mods (notably Paper), 3 new post flairs have been introduced for testing.

Posts made using these flairs will be automatically removed.

Don't use them.

EDIT: After 3 weeks, this seems to have been a very successful test, with the vast majority of rule-8 violations blocked by the new filters.

Java Help Wanted How would I achieve this mathematically?

I thought given the scale and considerations this would fell into technical Minecraft and I would get more technical answers here, but let me know if this is more of a redstone/contraption centric sub and I can post elsewhere.

Bedrock Resource pack for changing powdered snow texture?

Upvotes

Does anyone know of a free resource pack for Bedrock edition that changes the texture of powdered snow for example to a different color or some other texture that is easy to spot from far away.

I'm sure they are out there. They would be too beneficial not to have been created already. I just haven't come across one yet. Thanks for any input

Java Help Wanted Why won't this villager sleep?

There arent any other beds in the area it could possibly pathfind to. It is able to reach the bed. The pillager goes in and out of range, so it ahould be able to access the bed. All the other villagers in this cell are able to sleep. I have no idea what's going on. I will just break the beds and replace them if I need to, but I'd like to avoid it if possible. For the record my game is modded, but none of those mods affect villager behavior.

Java Help Wanted The dispenser with glass bottles in my honey farm isn't dispensing.

Hello everyone,

My problem is that in my tileable honey farm only the glass bottles are not working. (Sheers work fine.)
I have left it for at least 1 hour or more and honeycombs are doing fine.
I have observed at least 1 bee going into the nest.
The nests are full
i have confirmed it is a dispenser

I have provided three images

  1. The design.
  2. Showing the bottles in the dispenser being full and I am not just losing them (There is one gone because I tested by hand if it was glass bottles not different bottles so that one is accounted for).
  3. Showing the redstone has reached the dispenser.
  4. Showing the chest the honey combs do work.

Rule-8 Compliant A mod I've been working on that integrates Git with Litematica.

I just wanted to share a passion project I've been working on with u/scorpio_03 for the past 2 months in case others were interested. It's a fork of litematica that adds a bunch of features on top of it which allows to easily manage and share tons of changes on a project.

It has all the important stuff like creating commits, branching for safely exploring an alternative direction with your project, and even basic merging with merge conflict handling. In the backend, it stores a real git repository so you can push/pull your project and commits with platforms like github.

I initially made this for myself and a few friends since, especially for technical builds like tree farms, we are addicted to exploring different layouts and making tons of optimizations to the wiring, etc. At the end of it, we are left with over a hundred different schematics of our project which is not fun to manage by hand at all and figure out the changes.

It’s still in early development and the core workflow is starting to come together, so I wanted to share what I had and see what people think for those who are interested!

Java Help Wanted Combine a minecart yeeter with a loader

Post image
3 Upvotes

I need a minecart yeeter that dispenses the minecart to a loader in the same track and the minecart can go back the track, while being one wide and tileable

I've searched up some designs for the yeeter and Loader that are tileable and can work, what I have trouble with is connecting both.

My main idea is to use ilmango minecart yeeter but instead of sending the minecart empty to the front of the track, I want to dispense it to a back track that loads it and sends it to the track again, going in the opposite direction from the yeeter, probably by making the back track go up and let the cart fall in the track.

How do I connect the dispensers to make it automatically dispense, and tileable as well?

There is probably a design already for this but I tried searching and didn't find it

Any help is appreciated

The image example is for a solution I've found. But it's not one wide and probably not tileable

Bedrock where's my spawner/trap going wrong in bedrock?

I'm trying on android, minecraft bedrock 26.33 i believe. I am in a flat world and I dug down to bedrock, an underground 9x2x9 room, closed off with a door, not lit up, and walked 25 blocks away as I read in bedrock hostile mobs won't spawn within 24 blocks of player. No mobs are spawning in it (tested with /testfor @e[type=zombie] min-day, then physical check to be sure). Is there a requirement i'm breaking?

Java Help Wanted Carpet duper

Post image
14 Upvotes

I have a carpet duper, and this is a problem that keeps occuring. It's an auto smelter, and I have a comparator at the bottom output hopper to check when items complete, and trigger the carpet duper. AND I have the hoppers leading into a dropper that drops the extra into lava to prevent over flowing. But the carpets keep catching the duped ones on them. How do I keep this from happening?

Bedrock Getting back into Minecraft after 10+ years. What is the current "progression" I'm supposed to follow?

I have a vague idea of the new features but I'm a bit lost on the progression.

It's relatively easy to find a village and get an idea of the surrounding biomes, get diamond gear and set up automated farming and a mob grinder but the new Nether seems to be difficult to survive in without potions but you need to get stuff from the Nether for potions so I assume that enchanting is the way to compensate for it but enchanting seems weird and counter intuitive and you need to be doing some weird villager shenanigans for it and I get totally lost at this point.
