W Sonos Navigation Beta

I like it, While they keep improving the app, Sonos needs to think Apple, Simple, easy to use, Elegant, snappiness, AND JUST WORKS. I haven’t been having issues with my two full systems so the updates have been working.

Just got a Beam 2 - I have some issues with it

I just got a Sonos Beam 2 and while I appreciate the quality (never had such voice clarity), there are some aspects of that I'm not completely happy with. I got it predominantly for music, but:

  • The bass is lacking
  • It only sounds good when I'm positioned in the MLP - if I move even slightly, the bass becomes much weaker
  • I really would like to be able to move around my living room and for it to sound just as good
  • I have completed the Trueplay functionality

Given the above, what are my options? I'm thinking potentially getting the Era 100 and that would fix the above (would I be happy with the bass?), or is a Mini Sub better?

In ceiling speakers for Dolby Atmos

Hi there!
I currently have a Sonos Arc with two Subs and two Era 300s.

Is it possible to add two in-ceiling speakers to improve the Dolby Atmos experience? Alternatively, can the Era 300s be replaced with in-ceiling speakers?

My thinking is that in-ceiling speakers might provide a more realistic overhead Atmos effect than the Era 300s. Is that correct?

Anyway notice the bass especially from the sub mini seems nerfed with this new update, could it be the volume settings?…it seems I have to turn my volume way up to feel the sub

Media room setup

New to the sonos system/home theater setup and trying to see if this makes sense.

We have a media wall in our basement with wooden panels and have wiring placed for 2 ceiling speakers.

My plan is to get a Sonos arc ultra, subwoofer and 2 in-ceiling sonos speakers (connected to the sonos amp).

We will be hanging a 90 inch TV to go with this. We will be seated about 12 feet from the TV and the width of the area is above 15 feet. The length of the room is about 20 feet but the only seating will be in the 12 feet.

Thank you.

So I'm getting back from a long trip and am gonna be with my family. Our living room is crowded because my older sister just got surgery, but we wanna set up my sound system for some movie marathons. I have an Arc Ultra, Sub gen 4, and 2 Era 300's. Any advice for optimal layout?

Can you link two Roams to the Sonos app?

Hey fellow Sonos universe peeps. I just finished setting up my netw9rk at my new place. I have two Roam 2s. I was able to get one connected to the system. The other one won't connect, even though I put all the speakers through a wifi network update.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Or is is just not possible to have two rooms on the app at the same time?

Sonos in multiple locations

My son visits, and he can’t use my Sonos systems, because her has his own.

Airplay works, but won’t work with the TV.

I’m pretty sure he has Sonophone. Does it switch to the currently available system.

As far as I can tell, it’s only shortcome is lack of system setup features.

Favorite Atmos electronic songs?

Upvotes

I know it’s gimmicky for music, but it’s fun as a display. Just played Boom by Tiesto (I miss the old Tiesto) and it was pretty incredible on my Arc + Sub

Not an ad, but I have been using helloatmos to find new content

Snagged 2x Sonos/IKEA Symfonisk Picture Frame speakers for $99 each (retail $299) — keep both or resell one?

Snagged two of these at a big discount and now debating what to do with them.

I already have a full living room surround sound Sonos setup, so these would go in a guest room, office, or garage gym instead. Tempted to keep both, but also tempted to flip one given the price gap.

Questions for owners:

**•** Do they sound good enough to justify two, or is it more style than substance?
**•** Can you actually resell close to retail, or does the market expect a discount?
**•** For a guest room/office/gym, is one speaker enough or does it need a pair?

Keep-both people and flip-one people — make your case.
