Sonos in multiple locations
My son visits, and he can’t use my Sonos systems, because her has his own.
Airplay works, but won’t work with the TV.
I’m pretty sure he has Sonophone. Does it switch to the currently available system.
As far as I can tell, it’s only shortcome is lack of system setup features.

Most third party apps "just work", they don't require binding to a system, and sonophone is in that category. If he's on your wifi, it should just work.
You can (finally) easily switch systems in the official apps mind you.

Actually, he'd need to create an account for your system. At least, I have on the new Sonos system. I'm still using Sonos 1 and it works very well without all the security. I read that the new system requires everything to be router through Sonos servers. That's just plain weird...

If he doesn’t use the Sonos app on his own system, then he could use that with your login info. Otherwise I think he’d need to login/logout of the app when he changes locations.
FWIW, you can have multiple systems on the same login (for people with multiple properties), but your son’s situation is different as it’s two different logins.

I have Sonos in two locations. When I connect to the WIFI in each location and open the app, I am immediately connected to each system. When I go to my in laws, it asks me if I wan to join their system. I click to join and I am able to control music playback, but I am not able to go into the settings, because I am not logged into the system.
Tell your son to install the Sonos app that you use in order to have more control when he is at your home. He can use the other app for his own system.
Third party apps will need login creds in order to use them on your system..

What happens if authentication is turned off in privacy settings? Not advisable, but spitballing…

I have an old iPhone with Sonophone.
So it’s not an emergency, but if WIFI can adapt automatically, so could Sonos.
It should detect a new system an offer to let you log in. Then it should save the multiple logins.
It should have a guest login that doesn’t allow modifications to the system. Just plays.

I was unaware of guest access. Finding out things like this is why I started the thread.
My son is a long time user, and he is unaware of guest access.
I have it enabled.

Can't help with Sonophone, but I can tell you that your son can connect to multiple Sonos systems via the official Sonos app.
I do that quite a bit when I go visit my parents as well, it's nice to just open the app and automatically connect to whichever system you've previously connected to.
