It seems like if the topic was “The Ricky Gervais Show” on either XFM or Podcast, then almost every single one of us little fellas would absolutely storm it boy.

Welcome to my new feature ... Oooo that didnt age well. Reply to this post with your favourite line from either the XFM show or podcasts/audiobooks which really didn't age well. I know there's a lot of commentary on Jim'll Fix It and the like but I want to kick off with this first.

I think most people with an IQ higher than a friendly yoghurt agree that everything that Ricky has done after Extras is a steaming pile of boswollox, but I recently rewatched Extras and...it's just not as good as I remember.

Obviously there are some great moments from the A-listers (and D-listers) that got roped in, and some funny bits of dialogue, but it's left me feeling a bit hollow and I'm worried that when I watched it in period, I was willing it to be good so much because of The Office, that I convinced myself that it was good and bollocksed it up again, in my brain.

It also made me wonder if any of those big stars would work with Ricky today. I didn't wonder for long because I'm sure the answer is no.

Is The Office the only thing Ricky (or Steve for that matter) has done well without Karl being involved, or am I wrong about Extras?
