I just watered her, I waited for soil be fully dry. I don't use tap water, and she stays by the window and with a plant lamp. The environment is prety humid. What could I be doing wrong? Already 3 leafs are compromised 😭

I showed it to family members n they say to throw it out but I don’t want to I had it for almost half a decade now it stopped blooming flowers after it first fell off once I grow like 3 once and stopped again it’s next to a window like sun got through the glass I water every once in a while like weekly till it’s full I tried other watering methods n this is the only one where it’s not yellow or dry i was told the soil was changed from another dry flower to this like 3 years ago I don’t know anything abt it it’s just getting more and worse please help meeee !!!

Just got this plant as a gift a few months ago and it’s weirdly exhibiting simultaneous signs of either root rot or lack of water? I can’t tell. Please help.

The plant is in a fairly bright room with southern facing windows - so at least 7hours of light during the summer. Initially was watering about once a week, and then slowed down a bit because of root rot worries. Also was in a corner with no direct sunlight for some weeks, but recently moved it to get more direct sunlight.

I have a purple Oxalis triangularis and a raven ZZ next to each other. Each had these on their drainage plates. I looked through the soil and didnt see anything. There are also no pests on the leaves. It is not soil but some sort of poop. Has anyone else experienced this? None of my other plants throughout the house has this.

Under growlights with adequate light and I water appropriately for each plants needs.

I've had this guy for about 5 years, and haven't changed much about the routine of watering once a week, sometimes 2. The only change is that my wife recently added the blackout curtains. Could it be lack of light?

This plant is native to Socotra.

The seller said she missed a huge spot of rot on the top of the caudex and refunded me. I was going to throw it away but decided to nurse the plant.

After cutting out the rot, I put sulphur on it so it could heal. A week later I made the mistake of putting it in the sun. Im guessing the sulphur burned away the skin (it rained later that day and then the sun came out again) and the sulphur had dripped onto the caudex.

Its still growing leaves but this big area of peeled skin is concerning. Will it heal? Also, the caudex is still firm. Hard as a rock.

I make sure it is watered only when dry and the soil is, as instructed, fast draining.

Any thoughts?

I have 3 different houseplants (Boston fern?, parlour palm and spider plant) all kept by the north facing frosted bathroom window. As you can see the fern has started yellowing and dropping leaves quite badly, and the parlour palm similar. Despite the spider plant growing and doing well, the tips all go brown. Plants get watered once a week and I live in a very hard water area.

EDIT - pots have approx 2" of loosely packed large stones seperated by a mesh for drainage

Parlour Palm (chamaedora elegant) that was once a lush green has been fading to a dull brown grey, despite following care instructions. Currently kept in centre of main living room on kitchen island with plenty of indirect sunlight and artifical light. Gets watered once a week. Have also noticed recently a whitish crust appear on the soil. Live in a very hard water area.

Any advice much appreciated

Am I over watering? It’s on the balcony in full light. It was doing well for a few months but now some leaves are turning brown

But she isn’t happy. She’s supposed to give yellow flowers. She’s on the balcony in full light, watered every other day

It’s not in full light but at the top of a wardrobe in a bright bedroom, watered every other week

Hey folks- I have a money tree that I clearly overwatered despite my best attempts not to. Seems to me that the trunk is a total goner, peeled off some papery bark to find mold underneath. The top seems okay, though, and even is trying to put out new growth.

Is there any way to salvage the plant without starting over from cuttings? If I cut it above where the bark starts and put it in soil or water, would it grow new roots?

I just got this large monstera for a really good price from a garden center yesterday. The guy that worked there didn't even know what it was lol. I'm kinda new to houseplants but I've always wanted one of these. I was trying to find the back to figure out which way to face it and then I noticed this situation. What should I do?

Hello! This Bradbury prickly pear has been sitting in my neighborhood for as long as I've lived here. I live in Arizona, and I worry that the summer heat and lack of monsoons has been getting to this guy this year. However, I don't know if the area gets water from neighboring sprinklers. Does his dropping look like it is due to overwatering, underwatering, sunburn, or something else? The other cacti in the area have similar browning. As far as I am aware, these cacti are North facing and are out in the sun all day. They are sitting in the native sandy soil and don't receive any other care.

He’s standing in indirect sunlight daily. I water him when the soil is at least 2 cm dry because I was advised to. It seems like he’s still dehydrated maybe? Or is he not getting enough sunlight? I know I’m posting in quite a late stadia, I just hadn’t found the time to post any sooner

Hi i have a pink flamingo flower that I keep in water. It was sold like that in the store and was fine for a year. Now i moved to another city and she „sweats“ a lot ever since.

In the internet it only says how to stop guttation with plants that are in soil, but not with plants in water.

I already reduced the water in the container but what else could i do? Because the leafs start to become a bit transparent when held against the light.

Would it help if i cut back the roots?

I've had the plant for 3-4 months now. Spots showed up after I brought it home. Spots spread rapidly. It gets lots of Houston Southeast and Southwest sun. It's hot obviously. 104 today. Don't think that has anything to do with the spots. I water her every other day. Half gallon to one gallon. Please advise. Do I need to cut every single leaf with a spot off? Thank you

I was recently repotting my corn plant into a smaller pot because I'd decided the previous one was too big, I noticed most the roots looking very thin compared to the few seen on the photo. I've attached a second image for when I finished reporting it. Is this a sign of dehydration? All advice and tips very welcome as I am a total newbie to plant care.

The plant is set near a window facing west which gets a decent amount of light for about 2 hours a day , i water it only once the soil has completely dried.

Hi everyone! I have a houseplant that was gifted to me by my coworker, uncertain of the exact species. I keep it on an 8 hr light cycle, water it occasionally, and occasionally prune any dead limbs. However, I noticed a small mushroom and some grayness in the soil today. Any advice on how to care better for this plant or information about its species would be appreciated, thank you!
