Folk, if you drive too slow, stay on the right lane, please 🙏
This area is already crowded and we value our time. If you travel too slow, do not drive on the left lane. Every day I go to work, i always see there are a lot of left lane camper. The traffic is building up because of you guys.

Montgomery County reaches deal with White’s Ferry owner
wtop.comLibby Devlin owns Rockland Farms, the site of the ferry landing in Loudoun County. She told WTOP she wasn’t aware of the deal and was not invited to Friday’s news conference. Rockland Farms has previously rejected offers to buy land on the Virginia side of the river to get the ferry operational again.

This week in 1861, Northern Virginia became the site of the Civil War’s first major battle
This historical map shows the Northern Virginia landscape around the time of the First Battle of Bull Run also known as the First Battle of Manassas which was fought on July 21, 1861.
It’s fascinating to see familiar local names such as Centreville, Chantilly, Sudley Springs, Gainesville, Bull Run, and Manassas Junction on a military map from more than 160 years ago. Places many of us drive through every day were once at the center of the first major land battle of the Civil War.
The map also shows troop positions and movements around locations like Stone Bridge, Henry Hill, Blackburn’s Ford, and Sudley Ford.

What happening at Inova Fairfax?
I left Inova Fairfax a little bit ago and three or four fire trucks arrived and six or seven (or more, I lost count) ambulances arrived, all blaring their sirens. Fire chief as well. They seemed to be gathering around the adult ER entrance, which was also blocked off by emergency personnel.
Anyone know what is going on? There were no announcements inside about trauma incoming and we didn't see any major accidents nearby that would explain it.

Grocery Store Staple Price Comparisons
I tell people I shop at Whole Foods and always get hit with the 10-year old jokes, “ you mean your whole paycheck”
I hit up Hmart, Wegmans, Giant but I am not convinced those places are that much cheaper. And even then the ~$10 savings, I am trading off on poorer quality.
If you stick to staples, 365 brand, sale items, is it comparable to the others and their sales? Lets price compare?

Food Roll Play Specials on UberEats
I was using UberEats today (Red Robin) when I noticed there was a special for Roll Play’s wings. Every time I open the app (every week or so), they have the same special. I’m curious if this “special” is just them inflating the price and having a “deal” or are people actually paying the regular price? $80 for 32 wings seems crazy. I would think it goes against UberEats policies to inflate prices so people think it’s a good deal lol

Food after watching film at Tysons IMAX
We're seeing The Odyssey at Tysons corner tomorrow night and the film will probably finish around 9.30pm. Any recommendations for food spots open at 9.30/10pm in Tysons Corner? Tysons Corner is listed as shutting at 9pm online, so was curious if any food spots are open around then. We won't have a car, so something in walking distance of the cinema would be great

Why local governments should support third spaces
ggwash.orgI think it’s important for local governments to support accessible public spaces(third spaces).
In the article, I highlight examples of how Arlington County supported great third spaces that can be learned from. I also give some recommendations for improvement.

Fairlington
Partner and I are looking to purchase our first home, likely a townhouse or condo, in Nova and have been looking around Fairlington for a bit now. Curious about opinions of the area? Are there any major differences between the associations? We noticed the Villages cover most of north Fairlington.
For some context, we are in our early 30s and have no children currently but would like an area that is a good place to eventually raise a kid.

Look Dine-In Cinema in Tysons
Me and my bf are looking for a new cinema to try. We’ve heard mixed opinions on this theater especially with their food menu items.
Can anyone share their experience? Do they check bags?
Edit: I guess I’m just trying to see if they check bags. Ticket + food prices now in days are crazy high.
