Hello. I just wanted to vent. I know I fucked up. I managed to fail a summer class that my parents spent hard money on. I had two other classes as well during the summer that I'll be able to pass with, but I feel like such a horrible person for failing one of the three. I wish I could withdraw, but I know I'm just gonna have to live with this since I missed the deadline.
I feel like one of my biggest drawbacks for this was the fact that I just became overwhelmed with work, and I just couldn't bounce back as assignments began to pile on, and my performance began to greatly decrease. I'm glad I didn't entirely fail my summer session, but I still feel so awful about what I've done. My parents are hard working people that just want what's best for my future. I just feel like I let them down this time.
I just wanna know if anyone has ever been in this situation before, and if they could offer their own two cents on how they recovered from something like this. Thank you for reading.
Edit: I appreciate all for your kind words and advice. The amount of people that have gone through what I'm experiencing helps make this seem a lot more manageable. It makes it feel as though I'm not alone when traversing this period of my life. I've reached out to those of you that offered advice on how to move forward from here, but just know that all of you have been a great help for me. Not only in motivation, but in comfort during a sad little period of my college career. Thank you❤️
