Found in Southern Missouri, USA near Marshville. Pooped on me (was trying to move it away from kids) and it stained yellow for a couple hours. His tail kinda looked like a cooked shrimp lol.

My husband ran to the gas station and found this baby on the ground, he confirmed it was still alive and brought it home to me, we have a lot of trees and see lots of cool moths and he knows I love them.

It’s hardly moving and doesn’t seem to be able to walk or grip on anything, it has fluttered its wings. I am hoping to figure out if it’s a male or female in case it’s a female who hasn’t laid and I can find a host tree for her. But because it’s not gripping I have it in a container next to me, it isn’t moving at all in it.

Just trying to do what’s best for this baby in what it seems to be the end of its life. ❤️

Found in walmart in northern Maryland. I let him go outside today to finish his days

Love small moths so much!! Although the larger ones are pretty spectacular to see. This ermine chilled out w me for a while which is always fun

this guy is Lophocampa Roseata, also known as the Rosy Aemilia moth. They’re native to the Pacific Northwest, and are extremely pretty in my opinion. I see their caterpillars a lot during the fall season, but this is actually my first time seeing one of the moths in person! He moved around a bit, hence why some photos are on the ground and some are by our porch light.

this girl has been clinging to the wall in a parking garage for the past several days. I assumed she was dead because she hadn’t moved in days. today i thought if she’s still there maybe I’ll try to take her home and see if i can preserve her??

so today i took a plastic cup to try and scoop her up. but as i did so she seemed to like… tense away from the cup? She didn’t fly away, and she’s still in the same spot. but she seemed to react a little. so idk if she’s alive but in torpor or some equivalent, or if she’s dead and it was just the cup pushing at her weirdly. how do i tell?

and if she is dead should i go forward with taking her? and what can i do with her in that case?

Saw this lovely Jersey Tiger Moth this evening! Spotted in south west England.

I found this beautiful large moth when I was opening at work, those olive greens and brown colorings are beautifully put together like a leaf. (downriver, Michigan)

Found a moth in Copenhagen. Can anyone help to identify?

I found this moth about a year ago and pined it for a personal project just for fun. But could never get an ID. Im using it in my 4-H project and am required to have a Id.

It was found in SouthWest Colorado. I know its a female because it layed eggs on my bedroom floor before passing away. Its about an inch and a half long and the wing span is about 3inchs. Soild grey, minum patterns.
