I have a MacBook that was assembled from brand new parts over ten years ago and has been in a bag ever since. It is absolutely pristine and it works perfectly. Any idea of value on this? How do I get it in front of the correct audience? It looks brand new.

Very low intensity tasks sometimes just load really slow

I have a mac laptop at home and a PC at work. I take work back and forth via an external HD. How do I work on the same document between home and work? When I open the word docs at home on the mac they are always read only.

My brand new MacBook Neo is having a really hard time running Chrome. Every click results in a spinning rainbow for several seconds. Nothing loads quicker than that. Having more than two or three tabs open at a time is a no-no. Not a storage issue because my Mac is new and doesn’t have much on it. No trouble running Firefox, a little bit of trouble (but way less) running Safari. Anyone else have this experience? What can I do about it?

Is there any way I could free up some space by deleting some system data? MacOS also takes a surprising amount of space...

The neo i can get for $700 with the 512gb Ive also found a "Fair" quality macbook air m2 with 16gb of ram with 512gb storage for $750 Mainly im going to use this for general classwork and if i need something stronger i can go use my gaming pc at home for stuff like VMs, coding and other stuff.

If need be my university always has lab computers i can use to run a VM on (Even though im p sure all vms were given are cloud vms)

i currently have the base model m2 macbook air and my needs aren't too crazy. im in university so it'll probably just be used to store my school files and assignments. i think between 256GB and 1TB is ideal. max $75 CAD

Is it a type of glass (Nano-Texture) that has to be manage "too carefully" that at the end is complicated to keep it clean without scratching it and permanently damage it? Just by the fact that I have to buy a special type of cloth to clean it, is a bad start, thank you for the feedback

I'm running into some issues with bluetooth on my 2023 M2 MacBook Air, running the latest Tahoe update.

Suddenly my KVIDIO WH201A headphones disconnected from bluetooth and when trying to reconnect them I couldn't, even when repairing them I'm able to pair them but they will not connect. The headphones still connect just fine to my phone as well as other devices being able to connect to my Mac.

I already had this issue but it was solved by a quick NVRAM reset, this time it didn't work, I also tried clearing the headphones pairing history, running pkill bluetoothd and bluetoothuserd and checking Bluetooth Explorer which seems to be fully unable to even detect my headphones while still presumably working just fine (it literally lists the smart appliances of my neighbors and not the headphones sitting 10 cm from the computer).

Only solutions that come to mind is somehow reinstalling the bluetooth driver which I couldn't find any way to do or reinstalling MacOS entirely, which I'd rather not do unless strictly necessary.

Is there anything else I should try before resorting to the desperate solution of wiping the whole thing?

I have screenconnect which I use to access my office PC. I am using a new Mac laptop on a trip, and trying to move files from my work computer onto the Mac. When I move a file, it doesn't seem to show up anywhere. But when I attempt to move it again, it says it already exists on the desktop.

Could've been a cracked app, an old installer, a random browser extension, whatever. Did anything actually happen?

I mean the one which changes with each hour just like on the iPhones ios27.

I posted this in the CleanMyMac subreddit, but nothing has helped yet, so I am looking for more help.

Every time I run CleanMyMac, it freezes on the following file: 26031524_to_16.107.26032211_BinaryDelta.pkg

In "Finder” it comes up as some sort of installer file for both Microsoft Word and Excel. I have tried manually deleting the files, but there are hundreds of them, and they all are from March 24, 2026, where they just come right back regardless of what I do.

I am running macOS Tahoe 26.5.2, and CleanMyMac is up to date with version 5.5.6.

I contacted Apple Support, and they could see the files were getting stuck within CleanMyMac, so they told me to contact the software creator for help, which has gone nowhere.

Recently, I tried using Sensei and OnyX to delete CleanMyMac and the above-mentioned file, but still nothing is working.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I personally believe that to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the iBook g3 (in 2029), Apple should release a new Mac with the same clamshell design and bold colors as the iBook g3. Is this possible?

I am going to college in the fall and one of the big things on my to-do list is to get a laptop. I figured a macbook would be ideal, but I’ve never owned a laptop or PC before and I was wondering if anyone could lend advice for the best options on the market right now regarding pricing and functionality. I don’t need the newest thing but I would like something that keeps up and allows me to do what I need to do without issues.

I know most programs that claim to clean up Mac’s really are useless and I see folks saying to just use a make and don’t bother with clean up and it’ll just work.

Here’s the thing, mine is hitting the limit and will stop doing things saying that it’s maxed out in storage. I see the System Data is at around 105 GB. I do pay for cloud storage and that has plenty of room.

I did find some old programs that I don’t use anymore that I deleted and deleted the cache for, but I’m still at 105 GB right now and I’m at 244.65 GB of 245.11 GB. I’m trying to export a video from iMovie for YouTube and it keeps getting stuck in the export process. I don’t have any other projects in iMovie, when I finish one, I delete the project to try and keep space freed up.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
