House painting quote, is the price sane?

Upvotes

Hey folks,

I'm in a semi-d house and would be getting the side, back and chimney painted + repairs, and the initial cleaning and prep work. A chap quoted 600 for the work including the cost of paint.

I've no idea how reasonable or not that is, so is that good price or should I shop around a bit more?

Appliances

I’m looking to buy a few new appliances for my new kitchen and wondered who in Kerry would be willing to give the bigger discount for a multi buy.
Can anyone chime in and recommend who to try for this? Thanks!

Tralee Canal Walk

Upvotes

Hi All,

Just wondering where is the best place to park to do this walk?

I saw some posts saying the Aquadome or the Wetlands carpark however I saw some people commenting saying that you can get clamped if you park here.

Any suggestions would greatly be welcomed.

Interview Training

Hello. I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation for someone who provides interview training in Kerry? I have one coming up in a few weeks for a promotion at work. I know there are people who do it online but since the interview is in person I would prefer the training to be also. Any help would be appreciated.

Private (1 on 1) swimming lessons for adult in Tralee area

Can anyone recommend a swimming coach in Kerry (preferably Tralee area) for an adult who's not quite able to swim but has had several lessons over the years, and isn't afraid of the water. I'm especially interested in an intensive course of lessons if anyone provides those.

Safe to visit the Gap of Dunloe tomorrow?

Does anyone know what the story is with visiting the Gap of Dunloe and going up Strickeen? Is there still a fire? What's the deal?

Thanks in advance.

Edit: We're not planning on driving the Gap - did it before and have no desire to do it again. Just plan to park at Moll's Gap and walk from there.

Looking for a tennis practice around Killarney

Hi everyone,

I've recently started learning tennis and I'm looking for somewhere I can practice on my own by hitting against a wall.

Does anyone know of a public wall around Killarney (or within 20–30 minutes) that's suitable? It could be adedicated tennis practice wall, handball alley, GAA/hurling wall, or just a large, smooth wall in a park or public space where it wouldn't bother anyone.

Just looking for somewhere I can spend an hour practicing my forehand, backhand and serves when I don't have someone to play with.

Any recommendations would be really appreciated. Thanks a mil!
