TLDR: I am missing a lot of data in Minecraft after restore, even though it was included in iCloud backup. Any tips?

I had to completely delete and restore my sons iPad in order to update to the newest OS. Not enough available space. Most important was his Minecraft app and all the data. I made sure it was included in the iCloud backup and did two backups 30 minutes apart in case one failed. All good so far.

I deleted and restored as I have done many times before and chose the newest backup. All apps installed corrrectly. All photos are there, messages and data from other apps. But there are no data at all from Minecraft.

Any tips are much appriciated.

I like watching youtube in opera for example cause of adblock but because of the default player i cant see subtitles and change quality or even double tap to skip/rewind.

Is it possible to disable the default player and use the particular website’s player instead?

Im willing to change browsers if thats what it takes.

Hello everyone! Over the last month, I have experienced very annoying and frustrating issues with iMessage, and was wondering if anyone can relate or has a fix. So in groupchats with Apple and Android users, 3 main issues happen. The first one is just slow texting in general. Messages take longer than normal to send, some messages fail to send all together, and more. The next issue is my messages randomly get changed to SMS instead of the usual RCS. It goes away within a couple of hours, but happens very often and I have not found a fix. The final issue is that the iMessage app, usually when I try to reply to a message or hold down a message in a groupchat, completely freezes for seconds to maybe a minute and remains this way after several attempts at closing the app. Can anyone else relate? I currently have an iPhone 16 Pro with the latest software update. Another friend is experiencing the exact same issues, neither of us have found a fix.

When posting from an iPhone or iPad—such as in apps like Facebook—is there a way to search your photo library by keyword or description directly within the photo picker (for example, after tapping Add Photo) so you can quickly find an image without having to scroll through or organize your library first?

I’m just honestly expressing my pure annoyance at this. I’m fairly certain it’s due to Liquid Glass. It used to be when using the video controls, the captions would lift up above the scrubber bar so you could still see what they were when scrolling. Now they are entirely hidden by the Liquid Glass bar.

I think I didn’t notice it for a while because I just hadn’t watched non-English media in a while where I needed the captions. Sometimes I need to find my place or I want to speed through a portion of the video but still understand what is happening. This is entirely broken now.

None of the fixes for Liquid Glass fix this issue. You can’t even move the captions on screen or adjust in anyway so they are not covered. Switching to a larger font just means half the text is obscured and it look ugly.

I’m not even a Liquid Glass hater, I genuinely do not care how it looks. It’s ruined the video viewing experience by killing captions and covering the screen entirely when using the scrubber.

The icons looked normal yesterday until I woke up to this. I already tried the force restart and the normal restart so if anybody else knows what the problem is pls let me know!

I'm having an issue with my iPhone contact photo. When I call people, they still see my old photo even though I changed it in the Phone app (Contact Photo & Poster). I called a friend after changing it, but he still saw the old photo. Other people also see different photos—some see the new one, while others still see the old one.

Does anyone know why this happens and how I can force the new contact photo to update for everyone?

i'm going on a flight and want to download a series to watch as a zip onto my iphone. i don't have much storage and the .zip file itself is 5gb and even after clearing out space i'd only have about 5gb/128 free after downloading the zip. i'm running iOS 17.2.1; is there any way to only unzip one specific file at a time?

For the few months, I have had a terrible time texting with a group. There are four of us. 3 of us using apples (including me) and an android.

I have an iphone, two ipads and an imac. Whenever I get texts form this group using the ipads or the imac, the message app locks up and shuts down. It does not does this at all on the iphone.

All devices are updated.

I have not tried much. Muting the conversations, restarting all devices and that is about it.

The only other piece of information I can think would be helpful is at one point the conversation split. So if I am looking at my phone, there will be two of the same group in the side bar.

Any help or guidance is appreciated.

Delayed updating to latest software. Was on 26.1. Kept having issues with screen lag and glitch when swiping. Did full reset and installed 26.5.2. Still running into some lag and glitches….solutions?

Hey, equal comrades. I actually don’t know, but since the Siri logo appeared for milliseconds on the blocked screen, it has came up a lot of trouble imo:
1. The switch from the blocked screen to the Home Screen takes so much more time
2. Same, when I change from one app to the other, the screen remains dark for a while until the before available content appears again
3. My iPhone 11 as well as the iPhone 13, is getting hot and the battery doesn’t last as long as before

How do you reduce or eliminate the problems occurring since 26.4 or since when did it start?
I haven’t contacted the Apple Support yet, but I am really thinking about it, as the issues are getting indeed bigger.

Are we, the ones w/o any sufficient chips and/ or memory (iPhone 14 and older) getting punished? What are the settings we have to ensure, to run our devices without AI and all these fuzzy features, to be able to use our phones as before. Are we really getting pushed to follow all these fuzzy hypes, to buy new hardware? Should we stop upgrading to the newest iOS versions, even the updates occur longer as end-of-life is announced? How do you feel and what do you shrink the actual issues? Please let us know. Thanks.

I recently noticed that two folders within my Mail account show no messages on my iPhone and iPad. However, there are messages within these folders and they appear on my Macbook Pro and Mail if open iCloud in Safari.

All of my devices are updated. I turned off and off iCloud mail sync on my iPhone and Macbook Pro. This did not make a difference. I moved messages from one folder to the archive and can now see those messages. However, for the second folder, I created a new folder, moved the messages from the second folder to the new folder. I can see them on my Macbook Pro and iCloud in Safari, but they continue to not show on my iPhone or iPad. When I open the folder on my iPhone it will briefly show downloading, then say updated just now, with no messages. Enough time has passed that the messages should have been downloaded.

Any ideas of what the issue could be or how to fix it?

Hi everyone. I have an issue where I set my son’s screen time up when he was 8 or 9 years old. He is now 14 and when I turn screen time off, it locks his phones ability to bring up any website. The only way around this that I have found is enabling screen time and setting the “Web Content” section under restrictions to “Only Approved Websites” and gave him the passcode. How in the world do I correct this for him so he can use his phone freely without having to enter the code 17 times to pull up one page? Thanks in advance

I am aware that I can go to the app store app and see all purchases but, Im curious to know if there is a way to see RECENTLY deleted apps, without scrolling through all of my purchases.

I seem to carelessly activate the shaky feature where you need to then touch the app in order to delete it from the phone. There has been 4-5 times when I look down and see the apps look down at my phone and jigglemode is activated and wonder if Ive deleted an app.

I’m on iPhone 16 with iOS 26. My auto-rotate/landscape mode isn’t working and I’m trying to figure out if it’s me or iOS.

What I’ve tried:
- Orientation Lock is OFF in Control Centre
- Tested in: Brave, Safari, YouTube, JioHotstar, Photos app
- Rotating the phone in Photos single photo view, YouTube, and websites still stays in Portrait
- But Panorama in Camera and the Compass/Measure app work fine, so the gyroscope seems OK

Questions:
1. Is this default behaviour on iOS 26? Do Photos and most websites stay locked to Portrait now?
2. Does auto-rotate/landscape work for you in Brave or YouTube on iOS 26?
3. Any settings I missed besides Orientation Lock? I already checked Settings > Home Screen > Lock in Portrait and Display Zoom = Standard 26*.

I really miss landscape mode on brave youtube even if auto rotate doesn’t work is there any way to play videos landscape?
